Approval Procedures Not Working for Gross Profit %

Dear all expert,
I have a problem about approval procedures. I make approval procedures for gross margin less than 0% (minus margin) that will ask approval to approve it. The problem is if I input 1 item that have minus margin, approval procedures run well but if there is more than 1 item that have minus margin, approval procedures is not run...Why this is happen ? Is there any one that use that term has faced same problem too

as far as i understand you prove if there is any magin less then 0% in a marketing document. So i think you run this approval for each line and that does not work. If you enter one line, the procedure works fine. But any other line will not be proved.
There is no standard way for approvals based on lines.

Approval Procedure not working randomly on sales orders

Hi Experts,
We place approval procedure for 2 users in SAP B1 2007B pl15.
Some SO does not pass approval procedure and we cannot trace why. The are 2 set up for approval procedure 1 for within on below credit limit. The other one beyond credit limit.
Does anyone have the same problem with Approval procedure?
What do I need to check to isolate the problem?

We tried to disable the SO query beyond credit limit in a test database to check if the approval procedure will run if there are no other queries checking the credit limit. Now we only have one query running- the SO within credit limit.
We eliminated another possibility for the error. The error occurs for a newly created BP. The approval procedure will not work in SO is the first SO ever created in the system. All subsequent SO will go thru the approval procedure even if the SO, DN and Account balance is zero
1)We also tried this query and diabled the SO Beyond Credit Limit

Create Orders of Sale from DIAPI, Approval Procedures not works

I generate Orders of sale, from an application for DIAPI, the orders have approval procedures of authorization but they do not apply to the generated orders, which I must do in order that he executes them.

If you create sales order through DI API then it will go not for approval. You can try an alternative first create it as a draft , later when the draft is converted to sales order it will go for approval

Batch Procedure Not Working For Image Resizing in Fireworks 8

Scaling graphics with a batch process. You can alter the
height and width of images being exported using the Scale option in
the Batch Process dialog box. To set scaling options for
batch-processed files:
Select Scale from the Batch Options list and click Add. In
the Scale pop-up menu, select an option:
Scale to Fit Area makes images fit proportionally with the
maximum width and height range you specify.
If you have chosen either Scale to Size or Scale to Fit Area
in the Scale pop-up menu, you can also choose to scale only
those documents that are currently larger than the target
size. To do so, select the Only Scale Documents Currently Larger
Than Target Size option. Click Next to continue the batch
process. For information on completing the batch process,

modifying files larger than the dimension I wanted, whereas in the
Fireworks MX, it would upsize smaller images to this requirement.
Just FYI, we did not have the box checked to only apply to
documents that are currently larger than the target size.

I agree the option should not be there if it doesn't work.

honestly, I think the FW team missed it in the last upgrade.
And you're talking about more than just scaling - you are
most likely
including an export command as well, this was not indicated
in your
original post. Keep in mind your scaling occurs BEFORE any
saving of the
file at any new optimization setting. Maintaining a low
compression
would help, yes, but I'm not referring to quality loss
through
compression, I'm referring to quality loss through data
extrapolation
(interpolation?). When you resample an image to a large pixel
count, you
are asking the software to use an algorithm to create pixel
data that
did not exist in the original file. Whether it's Photoshop or
Fireworks,
quality loss will happen in a bitmap file. In short, you're
asking the
software to make an educated guess about the data in these
new pixels.
As for your end results - you did not indicate the original
size of your
files (pixel dimensions), nor how much you are upsampling. If
your
files are not being upsampled too greatly, and/or there is a
great deal
of pixel data to begin with and/or the final upsized images
are not
really large then it's possible that you do not notice any
significant
loss in quality.
My assumption was you were working with small files in terms
of
resolution. Generally, though, web images are not large to
begin with
and do not have a huge pixel count, so resizing them upwards
would
usually be noticeable.
All I am pointing out is that the file would not have the
same quality
as the original, even if the option was working. Whether that
difference
in quality is noticeable . . .
For example, I took an image that was 72 x 54 pixels, resized
it 200 %
to 144x108 pixels. Bigger image, but quality is low and
noticeable.
I do the same thing with a file that is 1024 x 768 and I can
still see
some loss, but it doesn't look quite as bad. IT is however,
noticeably
more blurry than the original.
And now how about a possible FW solution? ;-)
Open ONE file in FW
Set your jpeg quality to 100 (Type the value, do NOT use the
slider)
Go to Modify > Transform > Numeric Transform
Set your new image size to the desired dimensions
Click OK
Go to Modify > Canvas > Fit Canvas
Find those three steps in the History panel and save it as a
custom
command.
You will now be able to access this step in the Batch Process
Wizard, in
the Commands menu. or in the Commands menu in FW.
Add your other batch steps. You do not need the export option
because we
set that up in the custom command, but you might want to use
the Rename
operation.
Click Next
Choose an export directory if you wish
Save the script to create a complete custom command that
handles both
sizing and exporting and file renaming and a custom location
for saving
the file.
This one script can then be used either from the Batch
Process Wizard OR
from the Commands Menu in FW.
One note, if you choose a custom location for the files to be
saved,
that directory gets written into the command, so whenever the
batch is
run - that is where the new files will go.
As for other programs, Photoshop comes to mind. I'm sure
there are
other, specialized batch processing programs out there which
could do
exactly what you want.

Fix Approval Procedures to work on Update

I opened a ticket with Support concerning the condition where a user who is subject to approval procedure can circumvent the approval process using the Update process. Support suggested I post my recommendation here.
Say a user is subject to approval procedure whenever they post a Purchase Order above $1000. Today a user can create a PO for less than $1000 (which doesn't trigger an approval). Next they Update the PO so that the document total is greater than $1000. On Update, NO approval procedure runs. Support said this is current functionality. This is a huge hole in the approval functionality that makes it practically useless when a user knows it's this easy to circumvent. Support said this issue was previously reviewed and decided not to fix it. I'm suggesting that it's imperative this is fixed.

Agree. The approval procedures are completely useless as it is far too easy for the user to work around them.
Our risk & Governance department has reviewed SAP Business One and handed out a very bad report because of a few holes in the system.
We currently use the system for our subsidiaries and it nearly fails every single test executed by the auditors.
1) Approval procedures must work for an update process (this would fix 80% of the issues).
2) It must be capable of identifying critical and non critical fields (such as the bank account on the supplier record).

Error: Lock profile for approval procedure not maintained in Customizing

Hi,
We are working on the CHARM approval process. I have noticed that without selecting an approval procedure, I select the status (Awaiting business approval) on which the approval workflow is triggered, the system gives below error:
Select an approval procedure first
Lock profile for approval procedure not maintained in Customizing
Approval procedure and approval steps are locked automatically
This locks the approval procedure and the RFC can no longer be processed further. Why is that happening ? Anyone can select the status by mistake and lose the RFC, is there a way to stop this or at least reset it ? the lock procedure is already maintained in approval procedure customizing.

Thanks for the quick reply, however the settings mentioned on page 38 are already in place i.e. the approval procedure gets determined correctly based on change category (rule policy) and also is locked after putting it to 'Awaiting Approval'
But the problem exists - setting the status 'Awaiting App.' without selecting app.proc, will result in a total lock of the RFC.

Query Excetion not working for Charactristic restriction

I am trying to create one Exception in Query Designer.
The requirement is : Report should highlight the data cells where Material Group is "AAAA".
Now I created one exception and rectricted to Material Group " AAAA".
Now the issue is : It is working in Analyser But not in portal.
It is working in ABAP web( RSRT Transaction) but not in JAVA web.
I created a new exception only rectriction related to data cells( for example: Gross profit > 100) ..It is working ...
I dont know why my system is not working for exceptions restricted to Characteristic.
There may be some setting , I am missing which is leading to this issue. As the exception is working in Analyser, I donot think there is any issue with Exception definition...
So please guide me ..... if you have already faced this type of issue and resolved the same...

Approval template not working on update

Dear All,
I created an approval procedure to check line discounts >=25% on marketing documents. I used the below query;
'SELECT DISTINCT 'TRUE' WHERE $[$38.15.NUMBER]>=25'
On Adding new marketing documents the approval works well, BUT if i recall the same document and change the discount value then Update, the approval procedure does not work. When i open the query it returns TRUE based on that marketing document form.
Could this be a bug or is there something that i am not doing correctly?
I am on SAP Business One 9.1 PL05.

Auto_lexer (stemming) not working for other languages(other than english)

We are planning to use AUTO_LEXER instead of MULTI_LEXER and observed that stemming is not working for German where as it is working for English when I use AUTO_LEXER. I even used query templates but of no use.
But when i use MULTI_LEXER, creating sub lexers for German and Enlgish, Stemming is working for German also after changing the session language and setting stemmer of wod list to German (Which is expected).

According to the online documentation, Oracle only supports stemming for English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Japanese. Oracle does not support Russian stemming, although you may have gotten some accidental results, due to identifying it as a different language and applying stemming rules for that language. The following manual sections show the languages available for the index_stems attribute of the basic_lexer and stemmer attribute of the basic_wordlist:

I don't work for Oracle, so I don't know why they do things the way they do.
So, you need to stick with the basic_wordlist for stemming, not the lexers. However, you may get better performance by combining the multi_lexer with the basic_wordlist, as the multi_lexer eliminates time spent on automatic language detection. But, you need to remember not to use the index_stems with your lexer, since it will conflict with the wordlist. I am not experiencing any time problems as you have. Please see the demo below. I have provided the whole script below that, so that you can reproduce it on your system. If you still have problems, then it may be due to differences in versions.

Substitution written under cost center accounting is not working for tcode MB1B but working for MIGO_GI

Hi All
Do you know why this behaviour different for subtitution written under cost center accounting.
We have written substitution using coding block table. Logic of substitution is in case of any GL maintained in a set is being used for posting , then we will replace the cost center with profit center vlaue. Reason being we have same naming convention for Cost center and Profit center.

MB1B is t-code for stock transfer posting.
Stock transfer posting generate FI document using balance sheet account, not P&L account.
Because you don’t create cost elements using balance sheet accounts related to stock, I think that Substitution written under cost center accounting is not working for tcode MB1B is right.

CF10 64bit Apache connector (mod_jk.so) does not work for Apache2.4.3 (windows)

CF10 64bit Apache connector (mod_jk.so) does not work for Apache2.4.3 (win64), where can I get a module that works?
I get this error from Apache :

httpd: Syntax error on line 741 of C:/www/Apache2.4/conf/httpd.conf: Syntax error on line 2 of C:/www/Apache2.4/conf/mod_jk.conf: Cannot load C:\\ColdFusion10\\config\\wsconfig\\1\\mod_jk.so into server: The specified procedure could not be found.
I have already tried manually extracting the pre-built mod_jk22.so from the wsconfig.jar with same results.
If I switch to Apache 2.2.22 64bit, it does work. what I need is to be able to run on Apache 2.4.

In this link, they are configuring with Apache 2.2 only.
When we were working colfusion 9 with Linux and apache, we had the same problem, it will work when it connect to Apache 2.0 but not with Apache 2.2 version.

EP6.0 SP2 to EP 7 upgrade - UWL not working for PCR approvals

Following the EP 7.0 migration, the UWL is not working for PCR approvals. Following the registration of the WebFlowConnector, using the default configuration, clicking a PCR approval item in the Inbox brings up the following error:
HTTP handler for starting an external service cannot be read
In order to rectify this, the following configuration file was uploaded.

2. uwl.task.webflow.D46CLNT080_TS50000075
Has anyone encountered this before?

FYI. The problem seems to be occuring as a result of the running EP7.0 with a SAP R/3 46C backend.
I did manage to get this working in the end. I had to create an iView say "myISRDispatcher" based on the portal component com.sap.pct.hcm.isrdispatcher.default. Update the UWL configuration to refer tot his PCD location as shown below:

Base Price for Gross Profit

Does anyone know if there is a way to update this field through the DI API?
It is the column GrossBuyPr in the RDR1 table. I don't see anyway to update this through the DI API.
I can update it through the UI API but this is not the best way.
The field is called Base Price for Gross Profit in the B1 client.

Activesync not working for Windows Phone with certificate

We have a new Exchange Server 2013 setup and using activesync. We have setup a policy to require simple password and to send an email to provision a device when it connects. Activesync is setup to use self signed certificates, this was
tested first on the Ipad. Certificate installed entered the settings and the device appeared in the quarantined devices list awaiting to be approved. This was also done on the Iphone and worked.
When putting the same certificate on the windows phone device it errored with there is a problem with {as.domain-name.net} and does not appear in quarantined devices screen.
I tested again with another Ipad and an android device and they work without an issue. Tested with a Windows RT device and got the same issue. If I look in the IIS log files I can see the windows device making a connection then when I presume
to be the error 500 at the end of the line.
This is not a user issue as I can use the same user on the various devices. The windows devices just do not want to connect. We have looked at the certificate but if it works for apple and android devices why does it not work for windows?
Is there any additional security settings that need to be turned on or off for windows phones? Is there something specific on the certificate what windows devices need that others ignore?

I did inital think it might be a widows phone issue but there are no other settings for me to use. I have also tested using a windows 8 surface and I get the same issue.
I have raised the event log level on the exchange server to expert and I have seen 2 messages when I try to connect.
I get Event ID 1100: Exhcnage ActiveSync device requests for your uses are being blocked. This problme frequently occurs when HTTP OPTIONS method is not allowed.
I know it is allowed as the test exchange connectivity worked and passed that test.
The other error Event ID 1309 ASP.NET warning. Part of the exception messge is DeviceTypeMissingOrInvalid
I have come across a comment that says for certificates to work you need to use windows intune or SCCM which we don't have. Do we know if this is true?
