when i am about to approve one purchase order i dont see the fax, email it is disabled ? how do i enable it?

I setup an approval process so all Purchase Orders would require approval. When a PO is entered, the Approval Process does not kick in, and the PO is instantly available without approval. I have built approval processes before, it's active and looks fine. Any suggestions?

Approach to create a generic Approval process using SOA human workflow ?

Hello Experts,
I'm looking to create a generic approval process using oracle soa human workflow component using JDev 11.1.1.5
Have about 7-8 existing applications which do some kind of 'approval' . So need to create a generic solution for all 7-8 applications, instead of users logging into 7-8 different applications to approve by logging into different systems. Just want to have like a 'one stop shop' , where i can just go and approve for any application without having to log into separate applications.
I'm looking to get some suggestions and ideas, on how I can achieve this functionality ... Any suggestions/ideas are appreciated .

Approval process appearance in the PLD of the documents

Hi Experts,
I am setting an approval process for the Purchase Order.
Under approval stage am giving 2 authorizer and No of approvals required is 1. because i want to take GRPO even if anyone of the authorizer has approved. But i want the Purchase order print out with the field print in the corner of PO has Unauthorised until both the authorizer is approved.
how to do this in the PLD and please give me the solution

My view is that,
Can't we create a UDF in the PO at title level and write a FMS query to capture the status as "Unauthorized" when anyone of the authoriser is approved. At same time the second person is also Approved means the status should turn as "Authorized".
is it feasible.

Now, we use ME11 to creat Purchasing Info Record. And use ME12 to modify Purchasing Info Record. I feel it is very dangerous. Becase if someone make a mistake. Nobody know.
If the price is lower than actual price, vendor must ask us modify it. If the price is higher than actual price, I am not very sure what will happen.
So, we are seeking for an approval process in SAP system.

There is no approval process in standard,Since it serves as master.
Better provide authorization for ME11 & ME12 to restrict it.
Raise quotation to maintain vendor prices.

Oracle EAM Work Request Sequential Approval process

Can anyone confirm Oracle has standard functionality of sequentinal apprvoal process for eAM Work request.
Our current Oracle eAM project has requirement of multiple approver for Work request. Multiple approver means sequential approval process. After first approver approves it should go to second approval and continues.
I know Oracle eAM Work order has sequential approval process, but i want to know the same funcionality available for Oracle eAM work request as well. If Oracle has the functionality please provide the details. If Oracle doesnt have the functionality please let me know if this can be achived using Customization.
We are using Oracle R12 version.

Work Requests do NOT use AME. Only 1-level approval is possible with Standard Functionality; NOT multi-level
Work Request Approval needs :
1. Oracle Workflow
2. Department Approver functionality
Here are the steps:-
1. Go to EAM parameters window. Under Work Request region uncheck the Auto Approve flag.
2. Define Primary Department Approver (Setup > Department Approver)

What process goes behind "Return Requisition" in oracle purchasing

Hi Guys,
In Oracle Purchasing, When you click "Autocreate", where you will get the form "Find Requisitions Window".
You will find the requisitions and then if you want to return a requisition by telling the reason for returning
the requisition, the you will go to Tools--> and Click "Return Requisition" and specify the reason for returning
in a text provided.
May I know what workflow or what process goes behind when you click that Return Requisition from Tools Menu.

If you are in forms, then check the special triggers 1 to 30, these would be available in the tools menu, check the corresponding code in the form library, or the custom library, if this is a custom menu item.

Retail in-app purchases and the apple approval process

Hi, I'd like to clarify and discuss a workflow for the submission of retail folios and apple's in-app approval process. When submitting the in-app purchase for a retail download how do i allow apple's review team to demo/test the in-app purchase? Since the in-app purchase isn't yet approved and I publish it in the folio manager as public + retail, it won't show up in the library view. Does apple first approve/enable the product ID before testing? Just how does apple review this retail folio?

Yes, it is recommended submit an in-app purchase with a demo Screenshot of the issue in advance. Apple reviews in-app purchases based on the meta data and screenshot. Most of the publishers get a batch of in-app purchases pre-approved to avoid any issue near the publication date.

Req approval process with Purchasing groups

Hi Gurus,
Can anybody please help me with this. I need to setup the req approval process with purchaisng groups. how do i do that? The scenario is this: 1) A computer is requested and it is worth 1200 USD and the requestor puts the pur grp in the PR. since this is level 1 the email should only go to one person. ( The levels are 1000 -4999 - level1, 5000 - 9999 level2, 10000 and above level3). Can anybody please help me with this. Quick response is greatly appreciated

Approval Process to require Approval for non-Euro Purchase Orders

I am trying to create an Approval Process whereby any PO that is raised in a Currency other than the EURO will cross my desk.
I am having difficulty creating the SQL query necessary to isolate these Orders. Anyone able to help me?

This query will give capture if the currency of the BP is EUR in the documetn that is being added.
If it is true then you can pass this for Approval.
Set the Query based Approval procedure.

Approval process (Release strategy of scheduling agreement)

Hi,
Recently we are trying to implement the approval process of scheduling agreements.
Client requirement is when ever there is a change in price irrespective of the following
1. Retrospective price change in any line item
2. Current price change in any line item
3. Future price updation in SA in any line item
4. New addition of line item
the system should trigger the release process (i.e. Approval process).
Our idea is to design the approval process based on document type and net value of SA. Based on which trigger should happened. But when we test it we find the following issues.
1. Trigger is not happening for future date price change or price for new period as the net value of SA is based on validity time.
Becuase the net value change will happen only on that onwards..
Also we are not using any cumulative pallned values in agreements.
Any can suggest the best solution to over come this..or Any user exit is avaliable to handle this issue.

This is pure configuration.

I have run into the same problem with SOA 11.1.1.5 version. In my case after fixing the following two errors it seems to work fine.
If you have followed the guide, there must be some errors:
First the java code if copied then contains an extra enter value:
Instead of:

Based on the error trace
Caused By: java.sql.SQLException: ORA-12899: value too large for column "DEV_OIM"."REQUEST_APPROVALS"."APPROVAL_STATUS" (actual: 442, maximum: 32)
you are inserting a value too large for REQUEST_APPROVALS.APPROVAL_STATUS column. It should contain values like COMPLETED, approved, rejected etc... Check your custom approval process again.

Request Approval Process exception in OIM 11g

Hi,
We have upgraded oim 9.1 to oim 11.1.1.5 and we did not have any request approvals in oim 9.1.
Now we are using oim 11g to develop request approval process. We have tried to raise a request for "Provisioning Resource" - Application Access and "Assign Role" - Business Role Request in OIM 11g environment. Both the Requests are failing with the same exception as below,
Error:
IAM-2050014:An error occurred while initiating approvals for request oracle.iam.platform.workflowservice.exception.IAMWorkflowException: Tasklist mapping failed for workflowdefinition: default/DefaultRequestApproval!1.0 due to javax.naming.NamingException: String index out of range: -1. The corresponding error message is {1}.
Any idea on the above error?
