Approval Request assigned to DELETED User

Hi All,
I have created an approval process with type "User" and "APPROVER" as user and then I have deleted this user in OIM. But still the approval request is getting assigned to this user "APPROVER".
Is there way to assign this request to "SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR" or user's manager or display a kind of error message in the "Approval Details" page.?

Don knwo why it is going to Deleted User. It shouldn't go. If it is going then you can raise SR with Oracle.
For your question, with custom Task Assignment Adapter you can assign it to System Administrator. If your Resource Object has some then you can make one more field with some Default Message.
If Approver is deleted then you can update the form field with any message you want.

CUP - Unable to assign and delete role at the same time

Hello everybody,
I have an issue with CUP.
Regarding a change account request, if I assign roles, it works. In the other hand, if I delete roles (also with a change account request) it works too. But if I mix both of them in the same request (assigning and deleting roles) it doesn't works. Only the deletion works. Some times we have no error message and some times we have:
Error provisioning your request. Request no: 94. Error occurred in the system(s) : n/a, error details :
DR1CLNT200-ZTEST01-USER CREATE-Function template /VIRSA/BAPI_USER_CHANGE could not be retrieved from DR1CLNT200
Do you have please an idea to solve this issue?
For information the CUP used is a 5.3 SP 5.0 version.

Hi Ben,
There may be a possibility of such a behaviour in SP05 as many of the changes in code has been done
till now which may result into such issue and we can't confirm your findings by re-creating it. However, you can check few things functionally which may resolve this issue:-
1) This error usually comes when the role selected is already assigned to the user or user doesn't exist in the system for which change request is created.
2) when this error encounters the system, please take the system logs for that time from 'Monitoring' tab under configuration in 'English' and there the error cause can be found out or please paste the logs so that we can analyse.
3) Also, you can refer to SAP Note:- 1168508 where many of the role related issues have been resolved after SP05, therefore, for smooth functioning of GRC-CUP 5.3, it's better to upgrade to the latest SP i.e. SP18.11(available at SMP).

Approval request to dynamic user --- task assignment adapter

Hi All,
I have a requirement.
1. User will be requesting for AD Group Memership.
2. The approval request should go to the owner of the AD group. (AD Group owner will have an OIM Account)
is it possible to add custom "Target Type" in "Assignment" tab of Approval task?

Hi Thanks for the info. I have tried the approach.
Task Assignment adapter has two adapter variables - "Adapter Return value for key" ( Type - Object) and "Adapter Return value for key type" ( Type - Object)
1. I have added a task which invokes my custom java class method -- getApprover() - returns approver Name (User Id) -- String format -> I have mapped the output to adapter variable "KEY"
2. I have added another task which invokes my custom java class method -- getApproverType() - returns statuc string "User" -- String format -> I have mapped the output to adapter variable "TYPE"
I have attached this adapter to approval process with the mapping
Variable -Adapter Return value for key & Adapter Return value for key Type
Map To - Task Information
Qualifier - Note
When I request for the resource , the task assignment adapter assigns the approval request to the USER itself instead of the approver. Anything I am missing here??

You can use the exact same technique for any of the other requests submissions through APIs that have been posted on this message forum. Just supply the template name for your request template you plan to use.

Create one approval workflow and create one Process Determination Rule like
If
Request Action == "Revoke"
Attach this rule with RO.

You can create Dummy Resource with Approval workflow for Deleting User. And after getting approval you can use DeleteUser API to delete user from OIM.

CUP: Delete user certain time after request has been created

Hi,
Is it possible to define in CUP a delete account workflow that once the request has been created user deletion waits some time (i.e 1 month) before user is finally deleted? We would need a workflow without any approver.
Delete User request creation >> 1 month >> User is deleted

Hi,
Automatically deleting user IDs after a specific # of days is not possible in CUP. However, while creating the stage, you can define the wait time and then trigger the escalation. You can make the escalation to the Security Manager who can immediately take up the proper action, i.e., deleting the ID or making it inactive.
Infact, this is the reason why it is recommended to have an alternative approver.

How to trigger approval request for resources after assigning role

Hi,
We have a use case where we need to assign resources to user via assigning roles.
In order to achive this use case
1. we have created a role and assigned the access policy to it which contain the resources to be provisioned once the role is assigned to the user.
2. Created a SOA composite having manager approval and assigned this composite to a approval policy of type 'Assign Role'.
3. I am already having the approval policy for the resources which are present in roles. The approval policy of resources is of type "Provision Resource".
4. Also the SOA composite for resource apporal is deployed in OIM and assigned to the approval policy.
5. Now when I am raising the request from OIM of type "Assign Role" the approval defined in the SOA composite for Role approval gets triggered. After approving the role request the role is assigned to the user and also the resources defined in the access policy gets provisioned to teh user account.
Now I want to trigger the resource approval process after the role approval instead of directly provisioning the resources. So that once the role is approved the individual Approval Process of resources part of roles should also gets invoked. Based on the approval or rejection of resources approval, the resource gets assigned to the user.
Please let me know how to achieve the above use case.

Access policy is saying whoever gets xyz role, will get this abc resource. Now once a user gets xyz role, you are stopping to get abc resource? both are contradictory. Don't go through access policy. User is anyway going to request for roles. Modify your flow and make user request for resource. Have your composite and approval policy attached. User will get resource once it is approved.

We are facing an issue in our quality system while this issue doesnt come up in dev system!
if I try change a PO and then click on the ADD APPROVER button and then on the link "ADD HERE".,I get the foll pop up msg :

While changing approvers in the approval preview the system displays message 'Approval Workflow fragment has no user assignment'. In our case WS10000271 and TS10407972 are both set as general tasks. Any idea why the system would be generating this message?

If all your task are classified as general, this is a bug in a FM (SRM5, SP4). No idea if a note exist for this but check source of function BBP_PDH_WFL_APP_ASSIGNTYPE_GET, the task type (WF, TS) is hard coded, you may want to change it )

Thanks for the quick response.The workflow rule will work only for certain combinations.
I am trying to avoid using different combinations of the word "Convention Center" in the workflow rule since the word convention center could be spelled with mixed cases by the sales people.For example - Convention center or convention Center or CONVENTION center.
I don't want to check for the different combinations of the convention center string in the workflow rule since i need to check for other fields in the opportunity and the expression could get very long.
I am trying to convert the opportunity to upper case and then check for 'CONVENTION CENTER' so that it will handle all the scenarios.

Error "Approval workflow fragment has no user assignment"

Hi all,
We are implementing the workflow for n level approval of SC WS14000133.Now when we try to add adhoc approvers by clicking on the ADD APPROVER button,we get the foll error:
"Approval workflow fragment has no user assignment".
I have already referred similar threads on SDN and also the corresponding notes including this one,Error "Approval workflow fragment has no user assignment".The latest note for this error applies for SP08 while we are on SRM server 5.5(SP11).
Has anybody faced a similar issue before?Any inputs will be appreciated.

Assign / delete user to EBP Org ID

Hi all
I have assigned one user to wrong org id, then I have deleted from that org.
Now I am trying to assign user to other organisation.
There I am getting no hits found when I searched for that user through organisation structure search.
When im trying through su01 user_gen, there im getting "central user exist".
can any one help how can I assing the user to org id.
Is there any wat to delete central user?

Hello,
Go to TC SU01 , give the user *** and display the details
open the role tab and note down / take screen shot of the roles
assigned to that user.
Convert that user (SU01) to normal users using USERS_GEN
check the role assignment to the user. Now go back to SU01 and check
whether all roles are retained
In BBPUM01 transaction assign some roles and save the same - after
this check the role assignment to the user. - Now also check whether
the roles (non - EBP roles ) are retained in SU01.

Sometimes it's possible to forget this one:
Transaction SWDD, select the workflow WS12300111 and press CTRL+F8 (Basic Data)
there's another button "Agent assignment for task" (SHIFT+F9)
set task to "General task" with the "Attributes..." Button. (EVERY user can start this task).
And check this to:
Using transaction SWFVISU, check the following entries and correct these where required:
TS12300097 Java WebDynpro APPLICATION LeaveRequestApprover
                 PACKAGE sap.com/ess~lea
TS12300116 Java WebDynpro
                 APPLICATION LeaveRequest

(check this, because usually you have an error, instead of sap.com you have com.sap)

OIM 11gR2- Approved Requests remain in Operation Initiated Status

Hi,
We are using OIM 11gR2 and we are seeing the following behaviour whenver we request for Application Instance
1) End User logs in and requests for Application Instance.
2) The request is created and assigned to the manager for approval.
3) Manager logs in and approves the request.
4) The Requested resource is assigned to the user and the status of the resource is Provisioned. All the tasks in the Resource History are in Completed status.
5) If we see the status of the request, it remains in Operation Initiated status.
We expect the status of the Request to be Request Completed and not remain in Operation Initiated. We are sending a mail notification to the manager once resource is provisioned.
If we remove the notification part, the status of the Request is coming as Request Completed as expected. However with notification getting triggered we are getting problem.
Please suggest a solution.

Usually after the request is approved and if there is any pending task in provisioning it goes to 'Post Operation Processing Initiated' status. If 'Task to Object Status' mapping is not done properly the request stays in the same status even though all the tasks are completed.

In your case it is going to 'Operation Initiated' status when notification is attached. Can you tell where have you triggered notification? In SOA approval task or in Provisioning process? If it is in SOA check whether proper status is returned to the callback webservice after that. Else if it is in provisioning check for task object status mapping.
