Approval requirement for Z1 and F-04 Journal types

Hi There,
T.Code:  FB01/FB02
1)
Currently we have a custom workflow for SA journals. Everytime the workflow gets triggered for each SA document type. But now we would like to add Z1 as another document type to which the workflow needs to be trigggered.
In the SWB_COND onlly the workflow path is taken. The condition is written as follows :
Parked Document.Release Indicator = 'X'        and
Parked Document.Approval Path      = 'Z001'
The functional guy has no idea on this so it sat on top me. Could you please let me know where do I need to do the configuration to get the workflow triggered for Z1 ?
2) Does anyone have idea on F-04 txn. Can we trigger the same workflow for this as well ? if so please let us know. Thanks a lot.
Your help is greatly appretiated.
Regards,
Sree

No, there should be an event in the event trace if an event is raised by the transaction. This doesn't mean a workflow is linked to the event.

You probably will need to create a workflow for the transaction, but you also will need to make sure an event is raised for the transaction as it is not per standard. So you will need to find a user-exit or Badi or enhancement point suitable to raise the event by FM SAP_WAPI_CREATE_EVENT.

I think you are talking about the Global Object Services button. If you can see an overview of started workflows there it means the object related to the transaction is used in a workflow. It doesn't necessarily mean a workflow is linked to that transaction directly, it could be the corresponding object is instantiated for the key you have selected in the transaction.

For 810 i think the procedure would be the same but themseeburger mapping program that validates the ANSX 810 would be different. As far as 997is concerned 997 is a functional acknowledgement. Its a genric format that is used to send acknowledgement for any EDI transaction set that has been sent.

The logic will be based on the trading partner guidelines which will contain the description of all the semantic and syntactiic description about the segments ,its feilds.we need to consider the guidelines and target side specifications too while mapping.

  • GRC AC V10 - one approval step for manager and role owner

    Hello Community,
I have one, perhaps easy, question. Where is it possible to maintain the solution of one approval step for manager and roleowner, if both are unique.
    E.g.:
simple approval workflow: manager stage afterwards roleowner stage afterwards auto-provisioning
So if the request is routed to the manager and the manager is also the roleowner of the requested authorization role (same UserID). The user has to approve one and the same request twice.
Is it possible in V.10 to change the config that the user has only to approve the request once? And then to decide on which relevant stage settings are valid for this process.
    Thanks,
    Alexa

    Hi Alexa,
We have had a similar questions raised in a project. In an ideal world, a single "Sign-off approval" would be a great functionality where the same user has to approve the same consecutive stages, but the reason for different stages would entail that the responsibilities entailed per stage differ, e.g. Line Manager would just check the over request, and the role owner etc may be reviewing the elegibility of a specifc role etc.
If it is likely to be the same person reviewing the 2 consecutive stages, maybe a single stage workflow would be sufficient to cover this scenario.
I think the logic you are trying to configure in the workflow is possible but will require alot of work with knowing how to create a clever custom workflow with BRF+ or the actual WF stuff in SAP itself.

  • Approval required for assignment of more than one Role+AccessPolicy

    Hi,
we noticed the following behavior with OIM11gR2 (11.1.2.0.0):
2 Role each one with it own Access Policy to provision AD resource
case 1: if we request one Role at time by Catalog, no approval is required
case 2 if we assign both Roles at same time by Catalog, one Request that requires approval il generated
    Questions:
    1. Is it default behavior?
    2. Is it possibile to avoid approval step for case 2? If yes, is there any side-effects removing the approval step?
    Thanks

    Hi,
It is very much possible. Configure that settings in the IMG path
SPRO -> Logistics - General -> Tax on Goods Movements -> India -> Basic Settings -> Maintain Series Groups
Click on new entries and enter 122 and assign excise registration 12 to it.

  • Why is a sender communication channel not required for IDOC and PROXY ?

    Hello,
In case of IDOCs, metadata will be available in PI for the IDOCs used both at inbound and outbound.
Why is a sender communication channel is not required in case of IDOC and PROXY outbound scenarios (i.e. IDOC to File or PROXY to file ..)  when a receiver channel is required for scenarios like file to IDOC or file to PROXY.
Though this might be a regular question, I am not able to find a proper reason.
Please let me know the reason for the above request.
    Thanks & Regards.

You will create RFC destination in ECC , it will have details about PI system details, when ever you send IDoc, ECC will use Port and RFC destination to connect PI Integratiion engine to deliver data to PI.
But when receiver side you will create RFC destination in PI with ECC details, but to call RFC destination and Port we need medium that was the reason we create IDoc communication channel.
Even the same case for Proxy also, but HTTP deastination establish the conection between ECC and PI, but receiver side you have to create XI channel with PI integratioin engine adress to post data.

  • Requirement for client and server installation

    Hi,
I am using Oracle database 10g and Oracle Developer 10g.I'd like to make a client server application.
    1. What installation is required for the server side?
    2. What installation is required for the client side?
    3. I'd like the client to access the form application using internet browser. What are the configuration should I fullfil?
    Many Thanks,
    Imelda

    Hi,
there is no client-server anymore in Oracle Forms. Its a web only deployment. So 1-2 no longer apply.
    3) You need to install Oracle Jinitiator on the client or the Java 1.4 Plugin. Both can be configured for automatic installation.
See the Oracle Application Server documentation and whitepapers on otn.oracle.com/products/forms to learn about how to install and run Forms Services

  • Approval procedure for item and for business partner

    Hi
Anyone has done somekind of approval procedure for an item or for a business partner?
Is there anyway to make this? Or just for documents?
    Regards,
    Vasco

You can only use SAP approvals for documents. You can construct a less controlled approval method for master items by first creating a BP mandatory "Approved" UDF", and using an auto refresh FMS to set it to blank unless "on hold" is checked when the BP record is created. This will prevent it from being used in documents. Then another UDF for an authorised user to initial the BP record as authorised and uncheck the hold flag. There is nothing to stop this method from being abused but you do have the History log so that you know who did what. I have not tested the exact procedure described but have done similar for documents (to force a save as draft) when the SAP Approval has been too restrictive. Otherwise it's SDK.

  • Exchange 2013 IOPS Requirements for ActiveSync and anti-virus

I am currently planning to replace my Exchange 2003 server with Exchange 2013. I have used the Exchange Server 2013 Role Requirements Calculator but I'm stuck on how much additional IOPS to add for ActiveSync and my anti-virus solution (Symantec Mail Security
for Microsoft Exchange). The only info I've found for ActiveSync in regards to additional IOPS is to add .5 but nothing for SMSMSE. Symantec's web site has nothing on this (the question has been asked but not answered). I've also seen the ActiveSync question
    asked but not answered.
Any advice or guidance would be appreciated.
    Thank you.

Only Symantec can answer that for the A/V, but for ActiveSync, assuming you are using mostly Android/iOS, I would recommend using 1.3 for both IOPS Multiplication Factor and Megacycles Multiplication Factor.

  • Hardware Requirements for OC4J and Oracle DB

    Hi,
I'm looking for some information about hardware requirements for a server that will run a Oracle DB and OC4J. It will be used for training purpose (about 10 people) and for running small apps using ADF.
Does anybody knows how much hardware I need?
Is there any documents from Oracle for hardware requirements?
    Any help appreciated. Thanks

    Greetings,
We routinely develop and test on a Dell Vostro laptop with OS Windows XP and 4GB RAM. The key is to either run the Oracle db in a VM (10.2.0.1) with at least 0.5 GB RAM for the VM or use the XE db. I personally prefer the XE db as it is lightweight and easily configured or uninstalled. As far as oc4j is concerned, a lot can be done to improve the efficiency by modifying the oc4j.cmd file in driveletter:/oc4j/bin:
set JVMARGS=-Xmx512m -XX:-UseGCOverheadLimit -server -XX:MaxPermSize=256m -Dclass.load.trace=class-not-found -Dclass.load.log.level=finestThe JVM args settings are fully explained at:
