Approved-Capital 1 & Victoria's Secret with low score & other updates.

Hey just wanted to update. I got a secured card maybe 6 months ago (hasn't been much more than that) from Capital One. I applied for a new card today and got approved for their Mastercard for $500. I have a TU (credit karma) 499, EQ 526 and EX 503. So I was pretty shocked I got it but I guess having the other one helped? I also got approved for a Victoria's Secret Card for $250 (same scores) --- didn't get the pop up for SCT so I just applied. My husband got a Kohls card for $300 his scores are EQ 569, TU 590, EX 585 (all from myfico). ----tried for Barclays and got denied tho. Hit the LUV button on his VS & Torrid Card. VS went from $150 to $350. Torrid went from $250-$450. Tried on Marathon card but it didn't go up (they did give him an automatic bump of $250 not that long ago tho). He also got an Auto bump from his Capital One Journey card from $300- $500 last month. Overall good news. Especially for me because my credit is horrible and I cannot believe I got a normal unsecured mastercard. And my husbands is good news too. His credit has gone up quite a bit since I've been working on his. Hopefully this time next year and we will be able to do more. Keep focus on the Cap One card, they will truly reward you for on time payments and their increases will be fair and often. You may want to try the pop up for Overstock. They normally offer higher than average credit lines. The pop up pre approvals may come after many tries, but it is worth it.

Why low score with 3DMark 2003

hello friends,
i wanted to know why i am getting low score in 3D Mark 2003 with my MSI Geforce FX 5200 T128 (64 bit) i got the following score
3DMark 2001 = 5500 score
3DMark 2003= 1150 score
3DMark 2003= 865 score using 45.77 driver version
now the question is i heard does Nvidia use CG language or something and ATI company does not why. if so did Nvidia actually got success or something if they got out Geforce 6800 now does it also use the same language ?

3dmark2003 is pretty hardcore intensive. Its intended to test upcoming game performances (Doom 3, HL2, STALKER), so naturally, with a card like that (I have that card and around the same score), its going to get a low score. I think Direct X 9.0, Havok, as well as a bunch of other important game innovations are going to be tested.
The FX5200 is a low range, budget card, not for running Doom 3 and HL 2.
I dont know about the CG language business....?

I got the itchy finger again and applied for a Victoria's Secret Credit Card. I thought my chances were good because I was just approved for an Express credit card and they are both issued by WFNNB...boy was I wrong. Got the good old "7-10" message. I even called in and the lady told me that the approval is not always instant...yeah right lady! So fustrated with myself right now. My credit isgood, no baddies and I've been approved for good cards tthe last two months. Just concnerned now for the inquiries...sucks!! There needs to be an app addiction group on here cause I'll sign up! LOL!!!! I am going into the garden...I promise! NO MORE APPS..atleast for the remainder of this year. Pray for me ya'll!

Running director on with low resolution

I´m trying to run some multimedia slides from a dvd with director, but unfortenly on a monitor with low screen resolution director doesn't adapat the slides to the size of the monitor so you can see only the top of them.
Do you have a solution?

Director WILL do bitmap resizing with a bit of help from Lingo.
You can put on stage a placeholder "imageThatFits" image member and use copyPixels to squeeze each individual slide into it.
Create a bitmap castmember called "imageThatFits", paint a square in it, set the registration point to top left of the square, then place the member on top left of stage.
Use an "on prepareFrame" script :
sourceImgObj = member("<big image member name>").image -- pointer to the original image that you want to resize
sourceRect = sourceImgObj.rect -- gets size of original
destImgObj= member("imageThatFits").image -- pointer to your full screen image member
destRectOrQuad = _system.deskTopRectList -- set size to current screen resolution
destImgObj.copyPixels(sourceImgObj, destRectOrQuad, sourceRect) -- update your full screen member.
member("imageThatFits").regPoint = point(0,0) -- line it up with top left of screen
If you already have the oversized images in the score you could move them offstage and calculate "sprite(<big image sprite>).member.image" to get sourceImgObj.
Or you could use member().fileName to point to files on the DVD

So Dave, you should have even less problem. The Bombich software is all that your parents need. They should know that in the SMD dialog box, the area to the left of the IP address and Port is a buttton marked something like 'Start sharing' and when they click it, a password will appear. They will then have to tell you the password.
Our broadband screen update was v e r y s l o w, so be warned.
Also, a small problem is that the password is very random characters, and when you enter it at your end you don't see the characters, only dots. The first few times we tried it the password contained hash symbols and @ signs, (which on UK keyboards do not have direct keys) and we had difficulty distinguishing a lower case l from a 1. Best is to have a text chat going and use the fact that the Bombich software automatically copies all of the info (IP address, port and password) to the clip board, so it can simply be pasted into the chat. Don't have a video chat or there will be no bandwidth at all for screen updates.

Yahoo IP's with Low SBRS and Mail delays

Cisco IronPort has seen an increase in spam and other unwanted emails originating from IP addresses registered with and belonging to Yahoo! This spam originates mainly from Yahoo! Mail and Yahoo! Groups email addresses. This increase in spam has been reported by our customers through end user complaints as well as an increase in spam trap reports. The result has been a drop in the reputation of up to 5% of Yahoo’s IPs from good to the neutral range (between -2 and +1).
Cisco IronPort recommends that ESA customers throttle incoming connections from IPs with a neutral reputation score once the maximum number of connections has been reached. This results in Yahoo! IPs being throttled with the comment “Too many connections this hour”. Several customers have complained about not receiving emails from Yahoo! based not on Cisco IronPort intentionally blocking Yahoo’s IPs, but instead providing a reputation score based on the complaints we have seen and the threat of missed spam to our customers globally.
How can I avoid throttling Yahoo mail?
Cisco IronPort Email Security Appliance can be configured to not throttle mail by creating custom mail flow policies and sender groups for Yahoo domain mail servers (.yahoo.com).

This should help against some of the missed spam issue if the customers were to take steps to accept all emails from Yahoo! and run IronPort AntiSpam on them. We request that customers continue to submit spam messages to [email protected] or use one of our plugins (MS Outlook or Lotus Notes) to report these missed spam emails.

I'm very interested in this as (a) we do have a small but ongoing spam issue from all of the major freemailers including Yahoo, and (b) the posting specifically names an organisation. I didn't know if this was a major taboo on the forum as in some cases it can invite all sorts of legal problems. If there are any general guidelines for posting that I've missed then please point them out.
Regards freemailers in general and the latest Yahoo issue in particular, is the problem mainly sweatshop spam or are the mails being automatically generated? Do they pass through the organisation's "official" MTA (if there is one) or are they simply emerging from some assigned IP that happens to be port 25-enabled?
I ask from the point of view of doing something via header parsing if possible, though I admit that that's hardly following the "customer hands-off" ethos of appliance ownership.
In either case thanks for the heads-up; I'm off to check my logs now.

3DMark 03 Low Scores 6600GT

I only get scores between 6995 to 7080 in 3DMark 03 at default speed (500/900), no AA/no AF.
I don't have problems with games, 3D applications, etc.
The temperatures are between 55 to 85 (full Load)
All works fine. The system its stable and never crash.
I used different drivers... from 66.93 to 71.50 and the results were similar with every driver.
I was expecting at least scores between 7990 to 8050...
This is not a real problem... I'm happy with my new video card but... This scores (6995-7080) are normal for my system??

I believe that the relative low scores in bechmarks are because my processor... Athlon 3000+ (at default clock) is a little weaker than the systems used for test the card in differents internet reviews

That's strange because we have the same exact card. I see no reason why you should have corruption and I do not especially at only the dexktop which is 2D. You might want to try different chipset drivers or check for some other cause for the corruption.

Low scores in 3dmark..

tried to run 3dmark01 SE today on my machine and i thouh i got so freaking low score, only 13000 points, and i was thinking if i have forgot to install any drivers for something that can be the cause why games are so freaking slow on my machine?
or if anyone have any tips what the problem can be?

Yes, PROVIDED that the file has not been saved with any layers containing any of the specific new features introduced starting with Photoshop CC and higher.
If the file has been flattened or if it was flat to begin with there will be no problems.

Duplicate Image object in PDF file with low resolution

Hi all,
On creating images in bitmap mode using illustrator into eps format and convert the eps file into pdf using acrobat distiller.
On pdf file its showing two objects in the content panel with one object present in low resolution other one same as its original.
It will not happen in direct pdf from illustrator
Please anyone help on this.
Note: It will not happen in grayscale mode.

Hard to follow what you are experiencing, can you post screenshots?
You may want to experimnent with your .eps settings, especially preview & inlcude linked files since you have duplicate images.

23.98 fps advanced pulldown removel with lower field dominance??

When ever I have captured 24p advanced material shot on a DVX100B, I have always used Final Cut Pro 5's advanced pulldown removel easy set up (2:3:3:2). I haven't run into any issues until now. When I try to capture 24p advanced material, for some reason Final Cut sets my field dominance as lower (even). I made sure I was using the capture pre-set for advanced pulldown removel (23.98) and I was. Is there any way to fix this? I tried trashing my preferences but that didn't help. This is progressive scan material so in the past Final Cut Pro has always set it to field dominance as "none". Also, because my 24pa material is having a lower field dominance and as 29.97fps, I have to render in my 24pa sequence which I have never had to do. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
PS: I'm using OSX 10.4.8 (the OS choice drop down menu hasn't been updated)
Update: I tried capturing a short clip (about 30 seconds) and it worked fine, but when I try capturing my clip, which is about 10 mins, I get it capured at 29.97 with lower field dominance.

Try resetting the iPad:
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10-15 seconds).
