For AMPL(approved manufacters part list) in SAP,what is the equivalent module which has got the Approved Manufacturer part list in Oracle apps R12.If any one knows anything in this regard.Please put some light on. it.

Oracle E-Business Suit Upgrade from R12.0.6 +10.2.0.3 to R12.1.3 +11.2.0.2

Dear Experts,
Let me update you that one of our client is looking to upgrade their Oracle E-Business Suit Verion from R12.0.6 to R12.1.3. and database version from 10.2.0.3 to 11.2.0.2.
Current all the financial and SCM modules are implemented on there production instance.
We would like to know what are the pre and post upgrade activities needs to be performed ?
What are the list of patches which needs to performed while doing an upgade from
R12.0.6 to R12.1.1 - R12.1.3.

API for creating new User in Oracle E-Business Suite through BPEL

Hello,
I would like to use a BPEL process to create a new User in Oracle E-Business Suite. In the Integration Repository I was able to find an API called FND_USER_PKG/LOAD_ROW that creates/updates Application's User data. Is this the API I should be using? If so, I would like to better understand how to use this API.
I have created a simple BPEL process and added an Oracle Application Service, which uses this FND_USER_PKG/LOAD_ROW API. I set the following parameter before Invoking the Oracle Application Service: X_USER_NAME, X_ENCRYPTED_USER_PASSWORD and X_START_DATE. When I run the BPEL process I get the following error. I suspect that I am not passing all the required input parameters. Does anyone have any sample data I can use to get this API to load correctly? If I am using the wrong API, please let me know.

I have made the following changes in BPEL based on your recommendation: 1) Added Oracle Application Service and used the API, LDAP_WRAPPER_CREATE_USER, found in the Oracle Application Module Browser* under: Applications Technology (ATG_PF)> User Management (UMX)> User (FND_USER)> PLSQL> User (FND_USER_PKG)> LDAP_WRAPPER_CREATE_USER

Upgrading oracle database 9.2.0.5 to 9.2.0.8 for Oracle E-Business suite

I have applied patch to upgrade Oracle E-business suite(11.5.10) database from 9.2.0.5 to 9.2.0.8. but after applying patch also it showing 9.2.0.5. please help me.

server OS is windows server 2003 std. i have performed following steps
1.     First I installed 11.5.10.2 Technology Stack Validation Patch (Revision 1 July, 2005) on both application (D:\Oracle\visappl) and database (D:\oracle\Visdb\9.2.0) home. (p4318672_11i_GENERIC.zip)
2.     Then I review the html log file generated for both the home. Html file generated for oracle home with ALL PASS status. But html file for DBMS oracle home has return FAIL status. I review the reason in txkVal11510MP_DB.html. it gives me following reason to fail
“11.5.10.2 requires that your Oracle 9iR2 database version to be 9.2.0.6.0 or higher on Windows platform. Please refer to Oracle MetaLink Note 216550.1 "Oracle Applications Release 11i with Oracle 9i Release 2 (9.2.0)" to upgrade to the latest certified version of Oracle 9iR2. After upgrading to 9.2.0.6, you must apply 9.2.0.6 patch 5 ( 4287598 ) before upgrading to 11.5.10.2. “
3.     I went through the Metalink Note 216550.1. I refer Section 2 of it. I applied patch 5035661. when I applied this patch , output of this patch mentioned that OUI 2.2 is already installed on both the Home.
4.     Then I applied 9.2.0.6 patch 5 (4287598). Prior to this I applied patch 2617419 because patch 4287598 require OPatch 1.0.0.0.52.
5.     I performed patch 4287598 post installation task also. I didn’t apply windows patch 6, because my database was not showing 9.2.0.8 as required by windows patch 6.
6.     so this is the complete task list I have done to upgrade database from 9.2.0.5 to 9.2.0.8

Oracle ADF security integration with Oracle E-Business Suite SDK JAAS

I have an Oracle ADF 11.1.2.2 application that is using ADF security for authentication and authorization.
When we deploy this application to our JDeveloper integrated weblogic server, we utilize the security setting of "Custom" and use weblogic users and roles to map to the ADF application roles. In that environment our security is working properly.
I have a Weblogic 10.3.5 standalone server that has the ADF runtime installed as well as the Oracle E-Business Suite SDK JAAS implementation installed.
When I deploy the Oracle ADF application to the standalone weblogic server, I am directed to the JAAS login page when I attempt to access any JSF page (including those that I have granted View access through the anonymous-role. Does the Oracle ADF anonymous-role work (allow for anonymous page access) when JAAS security is handled by the Oracle E-Business Suite SDK JAAS implementation?
Per the SDK instructions, when we install the Oracle ADF deployment on Weblogic we have selected "DD only" for our security setting. We have defined enterprise roles in the Oracle ADF security setup (jazn-data.xml) that are assigned the appropriate application roles. Those enterprise roles have the same name (i.e. UMX|YOURROLE) as the E-Business Suite roles that are assigned to our test users. When we login with an E-Business Suite user / password we are receiving an error:
Error 401--Unauthorized
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
10.4.2 401 Unauthorized
Any thoughts on why that would be?

Is there a query to find out a list of users who were created but never logged into the system. I believe these users do no appear in FND_USER table since they never logged in.

Is Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1.3 certified with Oracle Application Server Single Signon 10.1.4.3.0 on Linux x86-64 SLES 11 (not SLES 10) ?
I do see Oracle Application Server Single Signon 10.1.4.3.0 listed on the certification matrix for R12.1.3 , however when I click on the OAS, it does not list SLES 11 , it only lists SLES10
Database is 11.2.0.3.0

Oracle Application Server Single Signon 10.1.4.3.0 is certified on SLES 9/10 only and it is not certified on SLES 11 for (64-bit).

Oracle E Business Suite 11.5.10 wont load using Jinitiator 1.3.1.21

Need help.
We are using Oracle E Business Suite 11.5.10 with Jinitiator 1.3.1.21 but can't load the forms.
It automatically closes the IE 7 browser.
Hope u can help me on this. I remember before, there's a file that needs to be replace in the Jinitiator in order to properly load the forms but i forgot the details.

Want to start a Career in Oracle E - Business Suite.

This is Hitesh Parsawala. I am working as a SAP B1 Project Head. Till date I have completed 4 Implementation Projects. Basically i am a functional Consultant.
But as SAP B1 Product has various contraints and Limitations hence i have found interest in Oracle E - Business Suite and make my career in Oracle EBS.
So can any body give brief about the modules covered in Oracle E-Business Suite. And just brief me about Oracle EBS.
Also can anybody suggest which are modules covered in Functional side in Oracle EBS (Especially in the MM and SD ) side.
Can anybody tell me is it possible for me to shift myself from SAP B1 to Oracle E-Business Suite. Also is it possible for me to learn the Technical Module in Oracle EBS. And which are Technical Modules covered in Oracle EBS.

How to run R12 Oracle E-Business Suite Pre-install Patches Report

I have downloaded, unzipped this report as per R12 Oracle E-Business Suite Pre-install Patches Report [Video] (Doc ID 1448102.1)
What then? The instructions say
Unzip the file, extracting the entire contents, which creates the "EBS_12.1_Preinstall" folder. (The unzipped folder will use <1 MB of storage space.)
Navigate to the EBS_12.1_Preinstall folder
Open the file 'index.html' in a browser
Do not rename any of the the files in the EBS_12.1_Preinstall folder. Such an action will break the report.
But the "Index" is supposed to show what? At the moment all I see is a number of sections that have nothing in them (the other html pages, like AP etec, do provide information)

I-recruitment ( Oracle E business Suite)

I'm a newbie in Oracle E-business suite. I have 4 yrs of experience as Oracle DBA. Our company is implementing i-recruitment module. The approahed with some issues.
They want to enable attachment functionality to the i-recruitment website. Basically joseekers should be able to upload thier CVs to the database. How can we enable this feature.Once CVs are uploaded where is the CV stored? Is it one of teh tables as CLOB datatype? Or as an external file (BILE).
How can we limit size of CVs that can be uploaded?
Pls advise. Thanks in advance.
