Approver name as changed field in infotype instead of WF-BATCH

HI Experts,
I am working scenirio webdynpro with workflow. When user submits the reocrd  from webdynpro screen it should be stored in custom infotype. Creating record process should be done through workflow backgroud step.
In above scenirio ,Changed By filed in infotype  as WF-BATCH. But i need to display user name in that field.
Please refer below image FYI.
Thanks in advance

Thanks for quick reply..
In standard infotype 2002 has already field UNAME, So no need to add field in infotype.
I have tried like p2002-UNAME = 'SCNUSER'.
But it didn't work because updation done by backgroud through workflow.
Please let me know in you find any alternative solution.
Thanks,
Srinivas.

  • Approval process for changes in BAsic infotype

    Dear Gurus,
The customer wants approval process whenever hr changes BASIC infotype, a mail shpuld go to his superior, who will approve the request in the system.
    - We are not implementing Workflow, ESS.
    - Enqueue / Dequeue concept does not work with Time constraint 1.
    - We are not in favour of changing time constraint of BASIC infotype
How can we handle this situation thru GUI client ?

    Hi Kapil/Sikandar,
    Thank you for the reply.
As per my understanding, the steps involved would be:
    1. The dynamic action will be triggered during "Change in Pay" action.
    2. HR executive will make necessary changes in IT0001, IT0008, IT0014.
    3. Dynamic action is triggered when IT0008 is updated.
4  Current values & new values of IT0008 & IT0014 are moved to workflow container and create workflow request to the HR Manager.
    5. On approval of workflow request by HR Manager, the IT0008, IT0014 get updated.
    my doubts are :
    1. What would be the status of action till manager approves?
    2. Will HR Admin be able to see the entries made by him ?
(In Finance we have PARK option, is there any such option in HR?)
    3. Would the dynamic action triggered if bulk "Change in Pay" actions are generated thru BDC/LSMW ?
    Pl let me know...

  • In sets (t-code GS01-04): How to change Field name

    HI,
I have created sets for rule in validation by t-code GS01. Where I have given Tbale name BSEG and Field name KOSTL(Cost Center No). Now, I want to change field name SAKNR (GL NO) instead of cost center. When I am trying to change field name t-code GS02, there is field name is in display mode and no way to change it.
As I have lot of entries in each set, so that creation of new sets is very hard job again. Further when I trying to create new sets by reference it didnt change the table name and field name.
    Please provide me a solution.
    Khalid

    Hi,
Hope it is not possible, logically total field is changing and the dependent entrie will not stay as it is. I don't think this is possible.
Eventhough the values are same but the fields are different.

  • Dinamically change the name of a field.

    Dear all,
    Here is my problem.
I have a 3 text fields wraped in a subform.
I have also created a button so I can add new instance of this sub form at runtime.
    All that works nice.
However, I also have a HTML subbmit button, and when I submit the form to my script, I only get the last instance of the fields in the subform mentioned above.
I am not sure what is the best solution for that.
I thought that on option is if while adding the new instances of the subform, I can also dinamically change the name of the fields, so for example
in the first instance of the subform I will have fieldname2 then in the second I will have fieldname2 and then when I submit I will get both, not just the last one.
But apperantly I do not know how to dinamically change the name of the field as well.
Any help will be really realy helpful
    Thank you very much

    Hi Dhiyan,
    Thanks for raplying.
Your suggestion does work in the way that id does change the caption of the fields dinamically.
However, looks like when I use the HTML submit button the form still submits the data only in the last fields of the repeated subform and their names have not changed.
Probably when you say that the name of the field is its caption you mean just a static text. But I am refearing to fields where you can enter data inside.
Basically, what I am trying to do, is to be able to dinamically create a table in my acrobat form.
This table has let say 2 fields: InstanceNumber and YearOccured.
So when I lets say add 3 instances in my acrobat form, I want to user to click an HTML submit button, and then through a PHP script I can submit all the 3 instance to a database.
However, when I check the REQUEST array, I only see these 2 fields once (instead of 3 times) and they contain the data of the last added row.
I assume that the problem could be solved if I can somehow change their names while I add rows.
So for example in the first row I will have:
    InstanceNumber_1 and YearOccured_1
    in the second:
    InstanceNumber_2 and YearOccured_2
    and in third
    InstanceNumber_3 and YearOccured_3
And so when I submit the form it will submit the data of all the rows.
I am not sure if that is possible though. But definatelly I do not know how to do it ))
What I did to go around this is:
I have created 2 other (hidden) fields.
And when I click the submit button, before I do the actuall submit, I take the data from all 3 rows one by one and I put i in this hidded fields as (tab) delimited. And so now I have in my REQUEST array all the data from all 3 rows, in a single tab delimited field. And then I can work it out from there with PHP to submit it where ever.
However, I was hoping for some little more elegant solution, that is if I can change the names and so have all the fields data submitted. Or any other good suggestion
If anyone knows, will buy you a beer )
    Thanks again

    Thanks in Advance

Thank you all for your reply..
When i changed the configuration, now its allowing me to change the approver while submitting the leave request.
But now it also allows me to enter my user id itself to approve the request
Is there a way that system allows you to enter only your immediate supervisor or supervisor of the supervisor and so on?

  • Change Canvas Name of a field dynamically

Hi i want to know can we change a Canvas Name of a field dynamically ?
My requirement is that  i have "Street Name"  fields in many forms. Now i need to introduce a button next to "Street Name" field so that if "Street Name" values are available in LOV, then user can click on the Button and it will go the Street Master. Now problem is that "Street Name" Field is available in many forms. It would be too difficult to create a each field in each form. So instead of it i want to do it dynamically. If we can change a Field's (Item) canvas name dynamically then i think we achieve it.
    Thanks

From my knowledge, we cant change a canvas name dynamically.. Below are the possible properties we can change. You can get these from forms online help
    property
The property you want to set for the given item. Possible properties are:
ALIGNMENT The text alignment (text and display items only). Valid values are ALIGNMENT_START, ALIGNMENT_END, ALIGNMENT_LEFT, ALIGNMENT_ CENTER, ALIGNMENT_RIGHT. See the Justification Property for more information.
AUTO_HINT Determines if Oracle Forms will display help hints on the status line automatically when input focus is in the specified item. Valid values are PROPERTY_TRUE and PROPERTY_FALSE. See Display Hint Automatically Property.
AUTO_SKIP Specifies whether the cursor should skip to the next item automatically when the end user enters the last character in a text item. Valid only for a text item. Valid values are PROPERTY_TRUE and PROPERTY_FALSE.
BACKGROUND_COLOR The color of the object's background region. The property value is a reference to an RGB value such as r191g223b191.
BORDER_BEVEL Specifies the item border bevel for the specified item instance. Valid values are RAISED, LOWERED, or PLAIN (unbeveled).
Note: You cannot set BORDER_BEVEL if the item's Bevel property is set to None in Oracle Forms.
CASE_INSENSITIVE_QUERY Specifies whether query conditions entered in the item should be case-sensitive. Valid values are PROPERTY_TRUE and PROPERTY_FALSE.
CASE_RESTRICTION Specifies the case restriction applied to any text entered in the indicated text item. Valid values are UPPERCASE, LOWERCASE, or NONE.
CONCEAL_DATA Specify the constant PROPERTY_TRUE if you want the item to remain blank or otherwise obscured when the end user enters a value. Specify the constant PROPERTY_FALSE if you want any value that is typed into the text item to be visible.
CURRENT_RECORD_ATTRIBUTE Specifies VARCHAR2 name of the named visual attribute used when an item is part of the current record. If the named visual attribute does not exist, you will get an error message.
CURRENT_ROW_BACKGROUND_COLOR The color of the current record's background region.
CURRENT_ROW_FILL_PATTERN The pattern to be used for the current record's fill region. Patterns are rendered in the two colors specified by Background Color and Foreground Color.

Note: Setting Enabled to false will cause other item property settings to change.
FILL_PATTERN The pattern to be used for the object's fill region. Patterns are rendered in the two colors specified by Background Color and Foreground Color.
FONT_NAME The font family, or typeface, that should be used for text in the object. The list of fonts available is system-dependent.

  • Document set change field label for "Name"

    Hi,
is it possible to change the field names without changing the NewDocSet.aspx form?
I'm want to change the field "Name" to something else.
    Thanks,
    Peter

This is a very common question, and generally addressed by core ECM/Governance, where the users will view the name of Content Type and accept that the Name is the name of the content.
In undertaking split testing for multiple clients, I found that an overwhelming number of users easily accepted and preferred that the field was left as Name since the Content Type provided the context (Ex. if the Content Type is named Matter,
implicitly you would not need to repeat by having a field named Matter Name since the user knew that they were providing the name of the Matter).
This is a similiar situation as "Title" for a document. If I upload a document and select the appropriate Content Type such as "Summons", I know that I am providing the title of a summons document.
The challenge is not so much technical, but one of core ECM principles for context. I would flush out your Content Types so that they provide the description (ex. Matter, Summon, Pleading, Memo, etc.) and then the "Name" or "Title" fields do not become
a barrier since the user knows that when they select "Matter" as their Content Type, they are entering the "Name" for that "Matter File".

  • Cant change field names

I am working in the hierarchy and re-naming fields names for reference when pointing to them in scripts. Everything has been working fine for days now. Now for some reason I cannot re-name an object. I am allowed to highlight the object, delete the existing text, and re-type the new name for the field. But for some reason when I click on something else the object goes back to its original name. I have also tried right clicking and change the name there as well as in the binding tab. But still no luck.
Weirdly, I can change the names of other objects in the hierarchy, just not any of the ones I need to. Any idea's?

I have never heard of this before ...can you send the form to [email protected] and I will have a look. Please indicate which field is causing you the grief.

    Hi,
Please mention the application release along with the database version and OS. Also, please post the steps to reproduce the issue (if possible).
There are couple of hits about the incorrect approver name (as show in the docs below), so getting more details would help.

  • Names in Members field under the UNIX Attributes Tab have changed from standard format (i.e. John Doe) to the actual account name (jdoe)

    Hello,
Names in Members field under the UNIX Attributes Tab have changed from standard format (i.e. John Doe) to the actual account name (jdoe). The only time this happens is if a domain account is deleted and the remnant of the account remains and has to be removed
manually. However all of the accounts, with the exception of any new ones recently added, now show the account name only. Any ideas on what caused this and how to fix it?
    Thanks :)

  • Change the name of a field in the forms

    Hello, experts:
As I can change the name of a field in the forms?
When you change the name of a field on the form, the field name in the database also changes?
    Joan

    Hello Joan:
If you mean the label of the form you can do with CTR + Double Click.
Remember not to change the integrity of the database. Is only allowed to user fields
make changes at the level of views, stored procedures, among others, which do not compromise the integrity of
    data.
Remember, even if they change the label, has changed the field name in the database, only the presentation

  • How to Divert the changes to cdhdr table instead of dbtablog?

    Hai everybody.
I am new to this forum. i got a job in abap recently. The below is my requirement.I want solution for this one. Anybody plz help me.
    I am having ztransaction.
The change logs already were captured in DBTABLOG for table ZWPRFRUND (in transaction ZWPG).
The only report which is currently used to get the change logs is RSVTPROT
    Now my requirement is,
we need to display the change logs in the form of ALV.
We should divert the changes to CDHDR table instead of DBTABLOG, then we can use the RSSCD100 to display change logs.
The Important items for the change LOG needed in case of changes to table in “ZWPG” are,DATE ,TIME,USER,FIRST NAME,FILED NAME,OLD VALUE,NEW VALUE
The above fields need to be displayed in the grid. In the above list “FIELD NAME” denotes any field of the table in the transaction in “ZWPG”
    Thanks & Regards,
