APPS 11i Workflow mailer
Hi Guys,
The clients notifications mailer is ending multiple emails to them .
Can't seem to recollect the option or where to set up the notification mailer so that it does not keep the notifications open after sending them by e-mail.
Any idea will help.
Please go through old threads for similar discussion -- http://forums.oracle.com/forums/search.jspa?threadID=&q=%22Unable+to+make+a+network+connection%22&objID=c3&dateRange=all&userID=&numResults=15&rankBy=10001
Thanks,
Hussein

I tried to restart it several times but still not working.
Thanks.Did you complete the manual steps for correcting workflow mailer settings on the target instance as per Rapid Clone doc (Cloning Oracle Applications Release 11i with Rapid Clone [ID 230672.1])?

Oracle Apps 11i - Workflow #WFM_CC attribute
Hi,
I read in Using #WFM_CC attribute and Multiple Attachments and Multiple Recipients with CC that Oracle Workflow allows CC and BCC. I have had our DBA check the version of our instance and it seems we already have the version Oracle Applications Technology 11i.ATG_PF.H.delta.5 (RUP 5) applied.
However, I'm still having problems using CC feature. I added Message Attribute with Internal Name #WFM_CC Type = Text and Source = Send. Also placed 240 for length. For testing purposes I set Default Type to Constant and hard-coded my email address to the Value field. When I run the workflow and check the workflow activities and go to the activity and click the Notification detail page icon to check the message, it doesn't show the Cc field. Only the From, To, Sent and Id are available. Does it show here if there is a Cc value? Currently we have our Notification Mailer off since this is only a development instance so this is the only way I can test it.
Appreciate any help.
Thanks,

You cannot see the CC field value which you set for message attribute in worklist Notification details page as the CC field is applicable only to email. You need to setup mailer to receive the email notification and verify if the correct CC was was set. Thanks for the tip.
Will request the DBA to activate our workflow for testing.

Concurrent Processing - R12 Output Post Processor Service Not Coming Up. (Doc ID 460578.1)
Can anyone help me to fix the issue? Your assistance will be highly appreciated.
DB version: 11.2.0.3

In ICM log file, I see occurrence of these error messages in bulk.It looks Mangers are wrongly defined or fnd_nodes having some incorrect values.
Do I have to perform the application clone again or is there any another way to fix it.

Workflow Mailer - 11.5.10.2 0 CU2
Starting approximately 7:30 a.m on Dec 8th, 2008 (this morning), the workflow notification mailer stopped sending out messages to all users via Microsoft Outlook. There are (now) about 756 notifications in a 'Mail' status in the WF_NOTIFICATIONS table.
The notification Mailer is up - connections to the exchange server have been verified - the ./WFJavaMailerSetup115.sh tests have been run - and entries in the mailer log file (that have stopped as of this morning - 8:19 a.m. was the last mailer log entry) are provided below....

Has anyone seen such behavior before - everything (all notification emails) were processing fine until this morning - all the necessary service components on the Workflow Manager configuration page are up and running.
We are running on HP-UX PA-RISC (64-bit). In my Oracle SR, the analyst seemed to have pinned this down to the fact that we are on HP-UX.
Any tips/clues will be much appreciated.

Install instructions for Search Modeler and integrating with Apps 11i
Below are all the steps I took for creating integrating Search Modeler with an Oracle E-Business Suite 11.5.10.2 ATG RUP 7 instance called ERNIE.
Much thanks to Oracle Support ( Rajesh Ghosh, Vikas Soolapani and Roger Ford), as this simply wouldn't have been possible without them.
There are a few things in this document that may not be pertinent to your environment if you're doing this. I've made attempts to clarify those possibly optional sections in the documentation.
I've broken the document down into the following multiple parts
o Setting up a new RedHat 4.8 x86 server called ausSEARCHdev (The server is in AUStin, TX, is dedicated to SEARCH, and is for our DEV environment)
o SES (Secure Enterprise Search 10.1.8.2 install
o SES 10.1.8.4 patchset install
o SES CPU patch apply
o Standalone OC4J and ADF installation
o Search Modeler installation and configuration
o Configure ERNIE Apps instance to be on valid self-signed SSL certificate
o Import ERNIE SSL certificate into SES and Search Modeler
using aussearchdev initially

we're going to go with the standalone OC4j 10.1.3.3 and Oracle ADF 10.1.3.3 method
The URLs for these products are
http://blogs.oracle.com/ebssearch/2009/10/available_now_oracle_search_modeler_11_for_oracle_e-business_suite_11i.html
and specifically
OC4J - http://download.oracle.com/otn/java/oc4j/101330/oc4j_extended_101330.zip
ADF - http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/jdev/htdocs/adfinstaller10133.html
OC4J install
First you need to have Java 1.5 on the machine. Latest is 1.5.0_22. Package is in /mnt/oraclebackup/deathstar_patches/SES
as root on aussearchdev
cd /usr/local
cp /mnt/oraclebackup/deathstar_patches/SES/jdk-1_5_0_22-linux-i586.bin .
chmod 700 jdk-1_5_0_22-linux-i586.bin
./jdk-1_5_0_22-linux-i586.bin
yes
install OC4J just by copying over the directory
as oracle on aussearchdev
mkdir -p /d01/oracle/oc4j
cd /d01/oracle/oc4j
cp -r /mnt/oraclebackup/deathstar_patches/SES/oc4j/* .
ADF install
vi /mnt/oraclebackup/deathstar_patches/SES/adf/adfinstaller.properties
change the following
OracleHome = /mnt/oraclebackup/deathstar_patches/SES/adf
DesHome = /d01/oracle/oc4j/
type = OC4J
as root
cd /usr/bin
rm java
(yes)
ln -s /usr/local/jdk1.5.0_22/bin/java
su - oracle
java -version should now return 1.5.0_22
export JAVA_HOME=/usr/local/jdk1.5.0_22
cd /mnt/oraclebackup/deathstar_patches/SES/adf
java -jar runinstaller.jar -version
returns The version for the ADF libraries being installed is 10.1.3.41.57 - yes, that is apparently 10.1.3.3.
java -jar runinstaller.jar adfinstaller.properties
output looks good, do not be concerned by

as oracle on aussearchdev
export JAVA_HOME=/usr/local/jdk1.5.0_22
export ORACLE_HOME=/d01/oracle/oc4j
cd $ORACLE_HOME/bin
./oc4j -start
you will be prompted for password - we're setting it. use XXXXXXXXXX
after it's up, kill it (ctrl-c) and restart it with
nohup ./oc4j -start &

So, creating a self signed SSL certificate for ERNIE EBS instance (this will not work if you use an SSL certificate for another server like say, PROD)
doing this on ausernieapp
openssl genrsa -des3 -out ausernieapp.key 1024
PEM key is ausernieapp
openssl req -new -key ausernieapp.key -out ausernieapp.csr
PEM key is ausernieapp
Country US
State Texas
Locality Austin
Organization Name Corporation
Organizational Unit Name Information Technology
Common Name ausernieapp.domainname.com
Email address [email protected]
No challenge password
No optional company name
Now let's remove the passphrase from the key
cp ausernieapp.key ausernieapp.key.orig
openssl rsa -in ausernieapp.key.orig -out ausernieapp.key
Now let's generate a self-signed certificate
openssl x509 -req -days 1000 -in ausernieapp.csr -signkey ausernieapp.key -out ausernieapp.crt
Install the private key and certificate
cd $IAS_ORACLE_HOME/Apache/Apache/conf/ssl.crt

chown applmgr:applmgr server.key.backup.03102010
bounce apache as applmgr
cd /d01/oracle/erniecomn/admin/scripts/ERNIE_ausernieapp
./adapcctl.sh stop
./adapcctl.sh start
In IE
https://ausernieapp.domainname.com:8443
Continue
Click on Certificate Error next to URL bar
Install Certificate -> Next-> Place all certificates in the following store -> trusted root certificate authorities ->finish
close browser, back to https://ausernieapp.domainname.com:8443
no errors,

./searchctl startallBelow are all the steps I took for creating integrating Search Modeler with an Oracle E-Business Suite 11.5.10.2 ATG RUP 7 instance called ERNIE.
I've broken the document down into the following multiple parts
o Setting up a new RedHat 4.8 x86 server called ausSEARCHdev (The server is in AUStin, TX, is dedicated to SEARCH, and is for our DEV environment)
o SES (Secure Enterprise Search 10.1.8.2 install
o SES 10.1.8.4 patchset install
o SES CPU patch apply
o Standalone OC4J and ADF installation
o Search Modeler installation and configuration
o Configure ERNIE Apps instance to be on valid self-signed SSL certificate
o Import ERNIE SSL certificate into SES and Search Modeler
using aussearchdev initially

we're going to go with the standalone OC4j 10.1.3.3 and Oracle ADF 10.1.3.3 method
The URLs for these products are
http://blogs.oracle.com/ebssearch/2009/10/available_now_oracle_search_modeler_11_for_oracle_e-business_suite_11i.html
and specifically
OC4J - http://download.oracle.com/otn/java/oc4j/101330/oc4j_extended_101330.zip
ADF - http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/jdev/htdocs/adfinstaller10133.html
OC4J install
First you need to have Java 1.5 on the machine. Latest is 1.5.0_22. Package is in /mnt/oraclebackup/deathstar_patches/SES
as root on aussearchdev
cd /usr/local
cp /mnt/oraclebackup/deathstar_patches/SES/jdk-1_5_0_22-linux-i586.bin .
chmod 700 jdk-1_5_0_22-linux-i586.bin
./jdk-1_5_0_22-linux-i586.bin
yes
install OC4J just by copying over the directory
as oracle on aussearchdev
mkdir -p /d01/oracle/oc4j
cd /d01/oracle/oc4j
cp -r /mnt/oraclebackup/deathstar_patches/SES/oc4j/* .
ADF install
vi /mnt/oraclebackup/deathstar_patches/SES/adf/adfinstaller.properties
change the following
OracleHome = /mnt/oraclebackup/deathstar_patches/SES/adf
DesHome = /d01/oracle/oc4j/
type = OC4J
as root
cd /usr/bin
rm java
(yes)
ln -s /usr/local/jdk1.5.0_22/bin/java
su - oracle
java -version should now return 1.5.0_22
export JAVA_HOME=/usr/local/jdk1.5.0_22
cd /mnt/oraclebackup/deathstar_patches/SES/adf
java -jar runinstaller.jar -version
returns The version for the ADF libraries being installed is 10.1.3.41.57 - yes, that is apparently 10.1.3.3.
java -jar runinstaller.jar adfinstaller.properties
output looks good, do not be concerned by

How to configure oracle alerts to use Workflow mailer?
Hello Guys:
We were trying to setup oracle alerts using workflow mailer. I have created a dedicated mailer for handling oracle alerts related mail.
Here is what I need to clarify:
1. Having setup a new mailer for Oracle alert do I have to still configure the Options in Oracle Alerts. This is where you choose which type of mail u want to use ( like Unix mail,Windows NT mail )
2.How do I tell oracle alert to use the new mailer that I created exclusively for this? While creating the mailer at some point I remember putting ALR in configuration form.
I am on 11.5.10 CU2. I am on 11i.ATG_PF.H
Regards,
BalaHi Hussain:
Based on the note I realised that my oracle alerts will user unix sendmail. But then If u go to " Oracle Alert Options "
-- > Mail systems -- I check Unix send mail
-- > Mail server options ( Do I have to fill this section? )
My guess is that the send mail will post the email to a IMAP account ( I created oraclealert account ) and IMAP account will push the alert email to Recipient
Mail Database/Server Name --- imap.mydomain.com
Mail Priority --- Normal
Accounts
Application Installation username Password
Blank ** Blank ** oraclealert pwd
Blank ** Blank ** oraclealert pwd
** - It wont allow me to choose an application.
Is there a simple test to make sure that my oracle alert is working or not? I appreciate your help.
Regards,
Bala -
Regarding Workflow mailer error
Hi
Could anyone teach me how to troubleshooting these errors in log of mailer?
My customer made mailer available through OAM and could send notification.
However, a lot of errors were found in log of mailer.

Installation of Oracle Apps 11i Realese 5 with 11.5.6 Family Pack
I am having problem starting the installation of this program.......Oracle Apps 11i Realese 5. I have Windows 2000 and would like to do CD installation rather than Stage installation.
I have downloaded and ran the JDK-1_1_8_009-Win. Here are the steps taken: I inserted the Red CD "Start Here" in my CD-ROM, opened the DOS prompt, and changed the C:> prompt to E:> prompt which is my CD-ROM drive, I then typed E:>cd rapidwiz....Enter, this opens E:\rapidwiz>, I then typed rapidwiz.cmd which was supposed to open my Oracle Universal Installer, butI got: E:\rapidwiz>start.\bin\launch.exe.RapidWiz.cL
E:\rapidwiz>
What do I do from here, do I insert the Disk 1 or what, because I have 14 CD's to be installed.Hi Timi,
Nice to see that you're involved in the setup of Oracle Applications 11.5.5. I see that you've run into a few roadblocks and while I am sure that I have a solution to the problem you're facing, it's a tad too long to get into on this forum.
If you could get in touch with me via E-Mail ([email protected]) or call me at 732 423 8023 (I'm available after 8pm EST), I'd be glad to help you out. Forgive me for saying so but the installation process is rather long and I have no desire to outline the entire process here.
Just curious, are you professionally associated with Oracle Applications or does it stem from a personal interest ?
I look forward to hearing from you.
Best Wishes,

Hi Guru's,
I have inititally configured workflow mailer.
Now i need to add the imap feature. I have set up keystore for SSL certificate authentication and added it the applications by running @$FND_TOP/sql/afsvcpup.sql
When i send testmail from OAM, it reaches the user's inbox and i am able to send acknowledgement back from the user's inbox. I am also able to see the acknolwedgement mail in the inbox of the imap user's inbox.
But now how will it actually update the R12 applications from the imap inbox.
Shouldnt the the mails be arriving in PROCESS or DISCARD folders?
Will i get back a mail if the request has been processed or discarded?

This is the functionality of inbound email processing.

Once the workflow mailer receives a notification and acts on it, the message will be automatically moved to the PROCESS or DISCARD folders.

I do not believe this functionality of confirmation exists.
