Apps abort installation when fully downloaded

please can someone help me solve this problem.  I have been frustrated after purchasing to new apps on playbook,with the installation process aborting.  The apps are monopoly and scrabble.   download completes then install error 0008 appears.    Require help immediately as i am highly frustrated.  spend almost half and hour to download repeatedly and installation aborting.

    Go into your account in the App Store, sign out, do a Reset [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release. When the screen goes blank then power ON again in the normal way.], go back to the Apps Store, sign in and try again.

    If Demo's suggestion doesn't work, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
    Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.

    i just answered another question with the same problem...
    anyway, try sync you iphone with itunes
    if that doesn`t work, try retreiving all your shops in itunes (file>dispositives> retrieve your shops) - my itunes is in portuguese, i actually don`t know exactly the words of the menu, but if you try u can find it
    if none of that works, try logging out of your itunes account on your phone... after that log in again, and try to download the apps you have purchased.
    none of that works, try restoring it with a previous backup, if it doesn`t work, do it from scratch!

    So I was downloading an app (keynote) but it never fully downloaded. Like it froze mid download. So I refreshed the iPad and when I checked, it was nowhere in my apps.  So I went back to the App Store to re-download it, but when I found the app, the only option was to "open", as if I had the app on my iPad. So I clicked "open" but nothing happened, the iPad just froze and crashed. I keep trying and the same thing keeps happening. So then I  went to settings and found the app there, but the logo is all weird.  But there's nothing I can do about it there. So I went to Search iPad and typed "keynote", but nothing showed up, as if I didn't have the app. So, summarized, I want an app that I don't have, but I can't download it because Settings and App Store think I already have it.
    What should I do?

    or you could try to hold your finger on top of the icon until it begin ti wiggle and have an X which if pressed will delete the app so you can redownload it as one can only buy an app 1 time all other attempters to rebuy it with the same appleid will result in a free redownload

  • Missing Installer when I download Flash 10.0.32.18.

    It appears that the flashplayer-installer is missing and all I get when I download the latest Flash is the libflashplayer.so file.  If anyone else is having the same problem, I was able to install this using the installer from an older version 10x.
    Why is this not included in the download anymore?

    Forgot to mention that this is in the tar.gz download for Linux.

    I've tried using a different broswers and allowed pop ups like the adobe website suggests.

    What computer operating system is involved?
    Let us cut to the core of the matter. From where are you downloading Premiere Elements 12...I would assume that this is not the tryout since it is no longer available from Adobe since it has released a new version 13 which should be the only tryout that it is making available at this time.
    Are you downloading another set of installation files from "My Orders" at Adobe or from another web site? If so, then you would be dealing with two
    files, one with an .exe file extension and the other with a .7z file extension. You DO NOT attempt to unzip these files.
    1. Make sure that you have disabled the antivirus and firewall(s) beforehand.
    2. First, double click the.exe (Adobe Application Manager) and then run it. When that is completed, then it is time to double click the .7z file (your main program file) to start the process of getting the Adobe Premiere Elements 12 Folder saved to your computer.
    3. At the end of this process, you will have an Adobe Premiere Elements 12 Folder at the computer location that you designated.
    4. You open that folder, and find the setup.exe that you double click to get the program installed on your computer.
    Just make sure that the installation files that you are using were selected for the operating system you are using.
    More details to follow if necessary.

I don't know what type of in-app purchase is in that app, but not all types can be re-downloaded for free.

    In iOS 6 you should be able to delete apps that are downloading... if you're not on iOS 6 just update to it and you should be able to do that. If not that, connect the iPad to iTunes, download the apps on your Mac or PC and then sync them with the iPad. That should work.

    I understand that your device becomes unresponsive when installing an App.  If this issue persists, try forcing all applications to close and restart the device.

    There is nothing anyone else here can say. None of us work for Apple, and only Apple knows exactly at what point they register the purchase for the purposes of the contest. All we know is what Apple states in their official rules:

    and they don't say exactly when the purchase is recorded.
    Again, you'll just have to take your best shot.

  • App-V packages won't run until they are fully download - App-V 5.0 SP2

    Hey guys
    we're using App-V 5.0 in our Pooled VDI environment
    we waited for HF4 for a long time to be able to upgrade from SP1 to SP2
    now we have a new Base Image with that client and with %APPDATA% folder redirection (unlike the Base Image with SP1 client that the %APPDATA% is local
    we're facing a weird issue that I couldn't find any solution for it
    When user logs on to the SP2 HF4 image, it takes FOREVER until we see App-V package shortcuts and can start using them (Some of the packages are a few GBs).
    Finally when the packages fully arrive I see on the App-V Client UI that the package is ready for offline use! though we never check the
    Force application(s) to be fully downloaded before launching (recommended for low/WAN networks) during the streaming phase while sequencing
    when I go to the Event viewer I see thousands of these:
    it's like there's an event for each file in each package
    The same user with the same permission logs on to an image with SP1 client and he can start use App-V packages immidiately.
    even if we load the packages manually it doesn't take so much time like it does on the logon refresh
    nothing has changed in our client configuration settings between the versions
    any suggestions?

    thank you for your reply. I know this is not an error. it's just there's event for every file of every unsynced package and it can take an hour until the sync completes.
    * my environment is non-persistant VDI
    * We do have some Applications on the master image so it includes C:\ProgramData\App-V
    * This is a tricky one. I use standard folder redirection on my %APPDATA% folder, so... you tell me. I use citrix UPM for roaming. from my understanding it is useless to exclude the catalog folder from there as %APPDATA% is not managed via UPM.  tried
    to find what is the best practice in this case and couldn't find a documentation about running a logoff script that will delete this folder.
    we don't update our master image very often so there are some applications that are synced only when the users logon (BTW, we also use Share Content Mode)
    but my complain is about the fact that Office 2013 for example, it can take 20 minutes to sequence, which in fact it doesn't need to download the package as we use Shared Content Mode so I don't uderstand why it is taking so long

    You should check Windows update for Service Pack update, if there is any.
    Otherwise, try to fix and update windows system filesas follows:
    Go to command prompt (START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES right mouse click "command prompt" and choose "Run as Administrator"
    type in
    sfc /scannow
    let Windows fix any system files that need to be repaired.
    Restart the computer if it did actually repair any files.
    Then do the download again.
