Apps allways wanting to install on 64 bit linux

Ive got Air installed on 64bit Ubuntu by following the instrcutions here
i then went and installed BBC iplayer
everything worked fine.
but when i try to download somthing from bbc iplayer, it says that i need to install the app, I click ok and air redownloads the app before saying that i allready have it, do i want to lauch it?
to launch the app i have to stop it as its most likly allready running, then allow air to lauch it which finally completes the download....
how can i make it so that Iplayer sees that i allready have it installed and just start the download
works fine on my 32bit laptop

Installing AIR Runtime and/or an AIR application from broswer is known as 'Seamless Install'. This feature basically detects whether AIR runtime is already installed on the system and behaves accordingly.
Unfortunately, this feature is not yet supported on 64-bit Linux distributions.

How do I disable the blocking mode so I can use the apps I want to install.

I want to disable permanantly this stupid blocking firefox does when I want to install or upgrade an app, particularly Java. It is my decision what goes on my computer not firefox. I was going to go to another browser when a person from firefox on facebook said I could disable it but didnt tell me how. So I want to know how to so I can disable it for good or I shall have to find another browser. Security or not its my choice what I put on my computer and I wont be dictated to about what I can or cannot have on my computer.

i have r12.1.1 stage of compatibility linux 32 bit
Now currently i have installed RHEL5 update 6- 64 bit and finished the all pre-requisites as per the documnet id:761566.1
when running rapidwiz it is asking for rdbms disk where as on 32 bit it is not asking and starting installation process.
Please let me know how to do the installation of R12.1.1 on 64 bit linux using 32 bit R12.1.1 stage.

ShaikYou either install a 32-bit OS and use this stage area directory or create a 64-bit stage area directory and install EBS on your existing OS.

App store wants to install same update twice?

Specifically, iTunes 11.1.2. I installed it already early this morning, as the App Store admits; it's there under "Updates Installed in the Last 30 Days." It's also, though, above that as something that needs *to* be installed, red "1" on the icon and all, and the notification when I ignored it was unreasonably demanding, offering no option for never installing it at all.
I'm downloading it a third time now. If that doesn't stop this, anyone know what will?

I had one of them show up twice in the installed list after installing it twice like you did.
However, after a day, the second installed one disappeared.
Go figure.
It will work itself out. And they only show up in the installed for 30 days anyway.
So if all else fails, you won't see them next month.

im not sure if this is what your talking about but i just put a 256MB radeon 9600 pc/mac edition in my MDD twin 867 powermac, into the agp slot with no problems. i have it running a 20in apple cinema display and another sony 17" flat crt. No issues that i have noticed so far, i can run the itunes visualizer in one screen and watch a movie in the other without the people looking legos. only problem i have found is when you rotate the views with ati's software the screens go funky for a little bit. but idk why youd want to look at your screen sideways anyways. as long as its agp i dont see why it wouldnt work.

I have downloaded Oracle Lite for Linux. I use SUSE 7.3. I have unpacked it, but when i type ./runInstaler it says that i need to set the ORACLE_HOME. I would like to know what value do i have to set it to. Or if there is any instalation guide to download becuase i have not found it.

But before install Oracle 11gr2, you need to unzip both files on one folder like below

Installing 64-Bit Linux distro on MacPro 2,1

Hi,
I have a MacPro 2,1 and want to install either 64-bit linux or 64-bit CentOS. I have tried using bootcamp to install the bootstrap then installing linux as per the guide here:

But there is no "Windows" drive when I boot and hold 'alt'...
I'm running OS 10.5.8 if that makes any difference.
Is this a case of not being able to do this because of my hardware? I know that my MacPro 2,1 doesn't allow me to boot into 64 bit version of Snow Leopard (even though the hardware clearly supports it) is this the same deal. I'm 'locked out' of using 64-bit with my Mac Pro?
Any help would be greatly appreciated...

I suggest you use Oracle Enterprise Linux on your lab. There are a lot of step-by-step guide to install RAC on OEL. A good example is by Tim Hall, search Google for "Tim Hall Oracle Database RAC Installation".

Flex 10 - 32 bit Linux Distros

I am considering getting rid of Windows 8 completely on my Flex 10 and installing a 32 bit Linux distro, probably Lubuntu. I was wondering if this is possible on the Flex 10? I have been reading the forums here and see people have problems with the installation of 64bit Linux distros and was wondering if it would be any easier to install a 32 bit distro?

The local filesystem is actually ext3 on linux, not UFS... my bad. The server is an Isilon storage cluster, which by default returns 64-bit file handles via NFS. Understandably the OS kernel shouldn't care about the app, but when a 64-bit file id is presented back to a 32-bit application such as sunstudio CC, the results lead me to believe it's not supported.
This case is further shown by the fact that when I constrain the NFS share to present 32-bit only file handles, the sunstudio compiler works like a champ.

The message said that you should have one of this OS:
Redhat-3, SuSE-9, Redhat-4, UnitedLinux-1.0, asianux-1 or asianux-2As previously posted, you should check from the Installation Guide that you have the right OS requirements before running the Installer.

Awesome, thats what I thought, so in that case, if I want to install Essbase server on Linux, I have to download the essbase files for linux and select only the essbase server while installing, and if I want to install essbase components on windows, I have to download the same set of files but for Windows OS and select to install only the essbase components that I need. Is that right?
