Apps and passwords stored in keychain I did not set up

I appreciate you patience if this is a stupid question, but I am just trying to understand security basics and how somethings have appeared in my keychain.
I have never used facetime, iMessage, jabber or GameKit, yet they all appear in my key chain. Some with my actual password and id, others (auth-tokens I think) with my id and some incredibly complex password, all for services I never set up directly. Is this part of the automatic set up on mountain lion?
Gamecenter shows up in console as ignoring User and Group permissions, yet I did not activate game center..
There is also a com.apple.scopedbookmarksagent.xpc that I did not set up and does not show a password when I try and view it in the keychain app.
Are any of things normal? Are there any security risks here?
I would just like to know for my own education and peace of mind and would not want to accidentally delete something that is important to the function of my machine.
I would deeply appreciate some insight here.
Thanks!

As stated, Keychain Access doesn't just store passwords, but also authentication services used by lots of services every time you boot your mac. FaceTime, iMessage and Game Centre will all have their own entries once you have set up iCloud. The bookmarks agent you mention is a part of the Apple sand boxing security feature.
Most of these are created by the system, or Apple's defaults from the install. The only ones that are "yours" are the login keychain or any secondary keychains you create.
The names will tell you what the items relate to, so you can troubleshoot individual problems. For instance, if you are having trouble logging on to a particular service, like a FTP server, you could delete the entry and re-enter the password.

You must of set a password on the computer when you kfirst turned it on. Otherwise you wouldn't be using it.
What I think you are talking about is a user name and password for an Apple ID.
Apple IDs use a email address and a password you create for that email address on Apples website.
There should be a link on whatever page you are on to Create an Apple ID. Click that link.
Or just open App Store from the link on you Dock then Find the link to create an Apple ID.
Absolutely not.  You can create a blank password.  Yes it's stupid.  Yes it's unsafe.  But from helping people with their Macs, I find most do not set up a password.  <facepalm>

  • TS1702 There are two apps in my update section that I did not install and I want them gone.  1 says it has mature content, what the heck is this?

there are two apps in my update section that I did not install and do not want.  How do I get rid of them without?

Web browser apps display the same warning - and as Rkedge pointed out - any app that accesses web content may show that warning.
Atomic, Mercury, Google Chrome, iCab Mobile ... All web browsers and I think that they all display that same warning.

  • Asking for administration userid and password..i dont remember and i did not set one

asking admin user and password did not set anything..yesterday i bought new i mac..problem comming as i wanrt to upgrade to Mavricks OS X

If you didn't set one, then you will likwly need to set one.
I've heard that you can just click "Continue" or the "next" arrow, but that doesn't always work.
I've set up OS X withotu passwords before, and you only need to go to Users & Groups in System Preferences and click "Change Password"
Leave the "Old Password" blank and add a new one, confirm it, add a "hint" and click "Change Password" again.
Then use that Admin password to install.

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
    1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
    2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
    3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
    4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
    5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
    6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
    7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
    8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

Try it and good luck. You have nothing more to lose if it doesn't work for you.

  • HT5312 after I entered the password of my iCloud ID, it prompted out asking me to check email from an emai address that I did not set for rescure and then I cannot login? now my iPhone has got all the cotacts lost.

after I entered the password of my iCloud ID, it prompted out asking me to check email from an emai address that I did not set for rescure? and then I cannot login.

Try going to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

  • TS4062 my iphone 4 has mild water damage and will not sync with cable.I want to sync it over wifi to reload data I deleted during my troubleshooting, but I did not set up for wifi sync before the damage. Is there a way that this can be done now ?

My iphone 4 has mild water damage. As a result, it will not sync with it's former XP computer with the cable. I deleted the phone's data in the troubleshooting process. I want to get it back by syncing over wifi, but I did not set up this capability before the damage occured.is there another way to initiate this feature ? I can tell that they are connecting in the cloud because an app I just downloaded on the phone is showing up in itunes on the computer.

You don't need to access your e-mail account, just get into your Apple account and change the e-mail address. If you can't access your Apple account, then you have a bigger issue to contend with.

  • I am trying to download an app and keep getting this error message: "Could not sign in. An unknown error has occurred" keeps popping up.

This is a question for a mini iPad...
I am trying to download an app and keep getting this error message: "Could not sign in. An unknown error has occurred.  I have tried shutting down and restarting. I've tried changing the password. I get the error message with free and not free apps. Any suggestions on how to fix?

Reports are that this is a problem with the iTunes Store that they're working on. Some people have had success after signing out of their account and back in. If that doesn't work for you, wait a few hours or perhaps until tomorrow and by then they may have the problem sorted out.
    Regards.

download the creative cloud desktop app (after signing in with your adobe id), Download Adobe Creative Cloud apps | Free Adobe CC trial

That is the problem. You are supposed to use your own Apple ID. If the person who owns the ID is not a user of your computer and will install the apps with the ID on the computer for you, you need to buy the apps with your own Apple ID and install them instead of the versions that you do not own.

  • Pass codes were set and i did not set them now it will not reset, pass codes were set and i did not set them now it will not reset

my itouch has started asking for pass codes i did not set. i have used the same 4 digit pass code for many years. i was attempting to update to iso 7 when i went to reset the device i was prompted for the code. i tried my standard 4 dig. number. also my restriction setting is on also asking for a pass code. I have never used restriction setting EVER. i dont lock my device i dont sign out of mail. worry? no nothing to hide. it agrivates me that i learned that certain apps ive downloaded may be changing my settings and accessing information without my knowing. i dont mind the info leave my settings alone.

    To restore from backup see:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:

If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

  • I have attempted to update a few apps and the install has frozen on 'waiting' not allowing me to either access the app or delete it, any idea why this has happened and how do I get around it?

I have attempted to update a few apps and the install has frozen on 'waiting' not allowing me to either access the app or delete it, any idea why this has happened and how do I get around it?

See if either of these things works for you. In the future ... Only update one app at a time. Forget that the Update All button even exists. It causes more problems than it does good - IMO.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
