Apps. are not updating in 3.0

My apps need to be updated on my phone, when I go to update, something new comes up about the apple store agreement. Keep hitting OK,OK,OK,OK depending on how many apps you need to update. It starts loading your apps, then stops and back to the agreement again.

i had the same issue. what i did was I just hitting the ok then after a few tries, I got out of it then went back in, pressed the ok a few more times and it finally went through. if you can, try updating from your computer, that may be a bit easier. other than that, just keep pressing the ok until it lets you update. once you get through the intial time, you should be fine with other updates.

    Hi Kanishk,
Those apps are forever tied to the Apple ID they were purchased under. You can either delete them and re-purchase them, or you can go to Manage your Apple ID and reset the password on the old Apple ID so you can use it to update your apps: Apple - My Apple ID
If you decide to continue to use them under the old ID password, I would suggest that when you reset that password, you change it to be the same password as the one you are currently using. That way when apps need to be updated you will only need to know one password and you won't have to be concerned with which Apple ID is displaying.

  • My Apps are not updating on my iPad just showing "waiting" why?

My apps are not updating and just showing "waiting" why? Anything I can do?

Having the same issue.  Tapping it only pauses it or sends it back to waiting.
Did you get your issue figured out?

  • Apps are not updating, keeps asking for Apple ID,can anyone help?

Apps are not updating, keeps asking for Apple ID and then goes back to saying update?

    Try reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected.

  • When I updated my apps, the apps are not updating but say waiting.  This is the 5th day they say updating.  What can I do?

Last week, I hit update all apps.  Unfortunately, the apps have not updated and continue to say waiting.  What can I do to fix this, so I can use the 26 apps that are pending?

If there are multiple apps trying to download at once, only one can download at a time and the rest say "Waiting" until it is then their turn. Try this. Double tap the icon of the Waiting app, and it should resume the download.
Another thing to try - Turn the iPad Off & then back ON.
    If that doesn't work:
    •  Log out of your iTunes store account.  Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.
    • Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.
    • After restart, the Waiting should be gone.

  • My apps are not updating

Every day I come in and my creative cloud button at the top of my mac says that I have 3 updates (Illustrator, Photoshop and inDesign). Every day I update them. Wash, Rinse, Repeat. Day after day. The problem with that now is that my co-worker has updated her apps and now we are having problems retaining the original files when she shares them with me. The file tells me that the file I am attempting to open was created with a newer version of illustrator. Then when I ok past that pop-up, illustrator will only display one of her 3 artboards.

Close Creative Cloud App and reopen (quit, from the cogwheel menu and reopen from the Application folder, assuming you are on Mac). This happened to me as well, and this process fixed it.
Just a warning: If you are specifically interested in the new features in Illustrator, many long-time users, including myself are very disappointed. For me, the changes in the Pencil/Smooth tool relationship and the "path segment reshape" features are a HUGE step backwards. Just my opinion. Once updated, you cannot go back to 17.0.

  • After updating My iPad 2 to iOS 5.1.1 , my newly installed apps are not working.

After updating My iPad 2 to iOS 5.1.1 , my newly installed apps are  not working . When I try to open the app the screen just flashes and then nothing happens. Built in apps works fine . Please help

I realize that installing apps is not the problem. Installing another app from the app store is a recommended troubleshooting tip from Apple if all of the third party apps will not open. It resets your iTunes authorization when you install the app because you have to enter your password.
If you didn't install another app try it. Read this support article as well.
iOS: Troubleshooting applications purchased for the App Store
Try this as well. Quit all apps, reset the iPad.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad.
Go back to Settings>Store>Sign in and then see if the apps will launch.

  • My apps are not being updated when pressing the update all button. It just says installing and no update is being done., my apps are not being updated when pressing the update all button. It just says installing and no update is being done.

my apps are not being updated when pressing the update all button. It just says installing and no update is being done., my apps are not being updated when pressing the update all button. It just says installing and no update is being done.

Must be serious because you have stated the problem 4 times now.
Here are a number of things that you can try and maybe one of them will help.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your app preferences and device settings again.
You can also try going to the App Store, find an app that needs an update, tap on the app icon to bring up the description page, then tap on install that way, rather than using the Update option from the app updates screen.
And ... You can always install the updates in iTunes on your computer and then sync them to the iPad.

No - but thanks! I read about the fix here on the discussion site. I'm glad it got your apps working again.
From the Apple kb article about troubleshooting app store issues ....
If all user-installed apps are not launching, it could be an Apple ID authorization issue. Download and install an app that isn't already installed on your device to reset this information.

  • Does MAS show updates if apps are not installed ?

I got several apps from the Mac App Store but deleted some of them. In fact I deleted all traces of these apps even .bom and .plist files in "receipts".
Now updates of not installed apps are not shown in the App Store application. Is this due to the fact that these apps are not installed OR because I deleted the .bom and .plist files in "receipts" ?
    Thx.

steps to find these "invisible" resources:
    1) In Finder type Command F (Find)
    2) In menu bar select "Kind"
    3) Scroll down to "Other"
    4) Wait a moment (menu has to rebuild itself)
    5) Scroll down and select: "System Files"
    6) In Finder type Command F (Find)
    7) In menu bar select "System Files" and "Are included"
    8) Type: "receipts"
voila ,with search results you will get the complete path which should be like: yourharddisk/private/var/db/receipts
