APPS ARENT SHOWING

I downloaded creative cloude but not able to see the apps. its been like this for hours, no idea what to do.

Are you on a managed network. Please navigate to ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE/opm.db and trash it (http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/access-hidden-user-library-files.html). Launch CC desktop and sign in with your Adobe id. Check whether apps are showing. If still the same issue then enable root account and launch CC desktop and let us know if still the same issue: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH11331 .

You maybe must set these apps to have notifications. See Settings>>Notifications
Be sure if you did not turn on Resctrictions (Settings>> General>>Restrictions).

Downloaded playbook apps not showing up on playbook?

I'm posting this on behalf of my dad, who like me has a playbook, but i live miles away so i've not been able to set it up for him, so this is a slightly garbeled message from him:
When he got the playbook he did all the inital signing up (he doesnt have a blackberry phone, just the playbook) and as far as he is aware he signed up for a blackberry account. He is able to go onto the app world and download apps, which go into the 'My World' section and have a delete opeion etc. So to me it sounds like he is logged in and can download.
However, they arent showing up on the playbook? With mine I download them and then they appear with all the icons on the bottom screen, but his are nowhere to be found?
Has anyone come across this or got any suggestions?

I feel real intelligent right about now!
The icons were there all along on the first page of the Home Screen where all the App Icons are kept.
All I had to do (on that first page) was to scroll down to the bottom of the Page to see the newly installed Apps.
This solved my problem, which turned out to be a Layer 8 issue as suspected.

Apps are permanently tied to the account used to download them. It was behaving exactly as it should have.

App Store shows 2 updates but doesn't open

After 4 months of non activity (I have been away) I checked for updates. The App Store shows 2 in its icon. When clicking to open it opens but nothing is there - feels like a dead-end. How to make App Store work?

I have a problem with my 4s camera which has come up recently. Everytime I take a picture and look it up via the 'Photos' app, it shows as blank. But when I click on edit on the blank picture, it comes up and I am able to save it back on my photo album.

There are a few things that are confusing in your question.
As far as I know, you dont have to install Time Machine on this OS as it is already installed for you. You only need to connect a hard drive to your computer via firewire or usb, click on the Time Machine icon, Open Time Machine Preference in the drop down menu and select a disk: your connected hard drive.
You can of course reformat this connected device, partition it into a few volumes to organise data if you so wish.
I find it strange that your mac's hard drive is divided into two volumes... perhaps this was created through bootcamp?
You can access the configuration of your hd through Applications/Utilities/Disk Utilities.
Clicking on one of the icons on the right hand panel will bring the details of the contents of your hardDrive and volumes. From there you can decide to erase a partition, reformat etc....
If your hd contains more than one volume, and one of them is empty, you could decide to remove it. Back up all your important data before doing so.

I'll try to help a bit.
ITunes match space is different to icloud space. With iTunes match you get storage for 25,000 non iTunes purchased tracks and other than a limit for individual file size, there is no memory limit.
You can turn match on individuallyon each device (I have it turned off on my iPod but turned on on my iPad and iPhone). When you turn it on then you get access to all the tracks, and in my experience any playlists I create have transferred over very well. I understand that some people have had trouble with playlists though.
I'm not quite clear with exactly what you mean regarding cleaning up your library, but be careful about using Match for this. There is no guarantee that matched songs will be exactly the same version as your own copy, due to some mismatches, so you could find some problems there. Personall, I am cleaning up my library before matching, but I am rather particular about keeping my library the way I want it. If you aren't as fussed then match could be the answer.

Creative Cloud App just showing blank white box! Cannot install Photoshop

I'm trying to install a Photoshop trial - have followed instructions to install the CC app. The icon appears on my desktop and a Creative Cloud folder appears in my Explorer folder but when I click on the CC app, all I see is a white box.
Occasionally, I have managed to get list of apps to show - but when I click on the "Try" button next to Photoshop, again it goes to a blank white box. Can't do anything! No spinning icon showing that something is loading - just blank white.
Very frustrating. Just want to download the trial so I can decide if I want to buy. Am on Windows 8 (64 bit). Have tried uninstalling and re-installing using a different browser (Firefox & Chrome) but still same result.

Hi again Jeff - I just read on a similar thread that another user had the same issue with blank CC app and realised the problem was her username having an ampersand "&"
I have an ampersand also in my username on the computer - do you think this might be affecting the issue?
She gave instructions for changing the username (although the link is for Win 7 and I'm using Win 8) - but I'm nervous about changing big system things like that. What happens to "permissions" on certain folders - am I likely to be locked out of making changes in certain folders?
Here is what she wrote on that thread:
If you have ampersand (&) or other non-alphabet characters in windows user folder name (Example: C:\Users\Bob & Mary), then Flash Builder will fail to install (happened to me), Creative Cloud will display white screen, and/or other miscellaneous problems.
I confirmed this to be true and works:
1) I had blank Creative Cloud window as shown in the first post.
2) I renamed the display username and window user folder name by doing the instructions here:

(Example: Change from "Bob & Mary" to "Bob n Mary" - without the quotes)

I have also since tried uninstally CC, deleting both the OOBE folder and the AAMUpdater folder, then re-installing CC again... same result. I always get to the list of Apps fine but the minute I click on the "Try" button next to Photoshop, the whole App window goes to a blank white screen and freezes.

Tap and hold an app until they all start jiggling and an X appears in the icon's top left corner. One by one tap the X to delete the app. when they are all gone you are free to buy them again with your own account.

Wekk Cal app not showing up in notifications

I have a very nice calendar app, "Week Calendar". One option is that you can place a badge on the homescreen icon showing the week number, day of week and so on.
After iOS5 it was no longer possible to put such a badge on the icon.

On my iPhone4S the badge was easy to get back following the instructions.
On my iPhone3GS, I can not get past nr 3 on the list, because "week calendar" does not show up under settings-notifications. It is not possible to enable week cal under notifications, there is no trace of this app on the list.
The 3GS is runnning iOS5.0.1 and the app is installed (and in use) on the 3GS.
I have contacted Utilitap, but they have noe idea why the app doesnt show up on the list.
Any ideas?

Normally no, updating iTunes won't affect your library at all. That said, it would be wise prior to the upgrade to make a backup of the iTunes Library and iTunes Music Library.xml files and of any tracks you've purchased from the iTunes Music Store or that would otherwise be difficult to replace, just in case something does go wrong.
