Apps bought on Iphone no longer sync to iTunes on PC

The subject explains it all, my iPhone no longer syncs any of the apps purchased on the iPhone back onto iTunes on the PC. In fact, the itunes doesnt see any apps when connected to my iPhone - and I can't move or edit the apps contained on my iphone within the software.
What a nightmare, and another example of how annoying and pathetic iTunes is.
Please help.

Disable auto sync when an ipod/iphone is connected under preferences in itunes. If using windows, this will be under the edit menu. Make sure the account you're signed into in itunes matches the account on your phone Settings>Store>View Account. Connect your phone, itunes running, go up to Store>Authorize this Computer(to make sure your computer is authorized). Then File>Transfer Purchases. This should put all of your purchased content into your itunes library.
FYI: The sync for content like music & apps is ONE way, computer to phone. Content you purchase directly on your phone is transferred to your itunes library.

Are you signed into iTunes on the computer with the same Apple ID the apps in question were "purchased" with? Is the computer authorized for that account?

Migrated to new MB Air version 3 and iPhone no longer syncs to iTunes

Just purchased the new version 3 MacBook Air and used the migration assistant from my version 2 MB Air. My iPad will sync with the new version 3 MB Air, but my 3G iPhone is no longer recognized by the MB Air and will not sync with iTunes.
I reloaded the Snow Leopard OS and completed all updates, still no luck. Any thoughts?

Sounds like the problem is with the phone. Do a hard reset and go from there.

IPhone no longer syncing with iTunes

I updated my iTunes to 9.2.1 and now, my iPhone can't sync with it. I've tried disconnecting and re-connecting the usb cable (which is connected directly to the computer, a Mac Pro), but it never appears.
There was one other change as well. When I first installed my new OS a few days ago, iTunes kept coming up on startup. I went into Login Items, and found that iTunes helper was there, as usual, but with a check mark to hide it. So I tried un-hiding by unchecking the box, this didn't seem to help at all either.
Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Im having issues too, My phone is shown in my devices like a camera and when i connect it it says that i need to delete itunes and reinstall. I found this info ,but I am working so I cant try it till the morning maybe it will work for you.

IPod and iPhone no longer syncing with iTunes

First my iPhone would sync. I would get a "could not sync" because iPhone timed out. It would start and do several things (backup, sync contacts) but then seemed to get stuck transferring an application purchased on the iPhone to iTunes.
But then I realized that my iPod won't sync either. Again it starts but then I get a beachball.
So at first I thought I had an iPhone problem, but now i think something must be wrong with iTunes.
Anybody have any suggestions?

I have 2 ipods.
I have an Ipod Nano 2nd Generation, and an Ipod Touch 2nd Gen.
My 1 year old HP has been in the shop for 7 weeks now, i bought a Macbook Pro.
I try to sync either one of my Ipods and the device does not show up under "devices".
I have authorized the Macbook Pro.
What do i do???

My photos used to sync seamlessly to iPhoto, then one day that stopped happening.
I can't find any preference or setting on the iPhone or in iPhoto that seem to address this.

IPhone no longer syncs with iTunes after Leopard upgrade - HELP!

Not sure if this is the exact forum, but I just upgraded to Leopard and did all the proper software updates and now when I connect my iPhone 3G - iPhoto launches to load the pics like my camera normally does, but when I open iTunes my device does not appear. I tried rebooting both the phone and the computer and I am on iTunes 8. If I look in preferences for devices in iTunes my phone is listed, but it does not seem to want to sync.
Any and all thoughts are GREATLY appreciated!

I'm having the same problem on my iMac (works on a different phone on my MBP). I restored the iphone and no dice. I'm also constantly getting a beach ball... Hope someone out there knows a workaround.

when I connect my iPhone, iTunes does not open, and it is not recognized not sync! However, it is well recognized as storage device like a USB key. I also tried to connect my I phone with I tunes of another computer .. Not recognized neither..
I tried to follow the assistance provided by apple support but nothing worked..

Usually re-starting the router and both iPhone and Mac helps. However, I am having this issue now as well ( as of last few days) and cannnot see the iPhone from iTunes...

It now says that I'm "not authorized" to sync my iPhone with my iTunes. How do I fix this problem?

USB 2.0 is a system requirement for the iPhone, USB 1.1 may work but is not supported.
Is your iTunes up to date on this computer?
It should mention specific tracks that were not authorized in the details of the error message.
If you find that song or video in your iTunes library and Get info (right click or ctrl-click) on that song, and go to the Summary tab. It will show what account that song was purchased with. Make sure that account is authorized, and that song or video will play in iTunes.

New iPhone no longer syncs with iTunes or charges via MacBook

Hi,
seen that there are quite a few varied posts concerning iPhones that aren't syncing but none that have the exact problem that I've currently got, which is:
I have a week old iPhone 3GS, I have connected it to my mac a couple of times and it worked and charged fine via the usb cable, however it is now not doing anything when attached, if the handset is turned of it automatically turns on but doesn't show that it is charging or syncing.
I have followed all of the trouble shooting advice via mac support but still no joy, any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
I was hoping that my new toy was going to be a little more user friendly than this, I'm an experienced Mac user and am a little dismayed at problems so early into the honeymoon period with my shiny new iPhone.

Just out of interest, I have read that this can be caused by syncing certain podcasts but I've only put a couple of dozen tunes that I already had in my iTunes library onto the phone, any ideas as to why the issue may have happened?

I upgraded my computer to Leopard today and everything seems to be working properly. However, when I plug in my iPhone it doesn't start and show up in iTunes. Is there something I've missed?

Delete then re-install iTunes & Delete the following files:
The iTunes application (located in /Applications)
com.apple.iTunes.plist (from ~/Library/Preferences)
iTunes.pkg (from /Library/Receipts)
iTunesX.pkg (from /Library/Receipts)
then re-download the latest version of iTunes.

IPhone 5s will no longer sync to iTunes now that I download iOS 8.1.2

iPhone 5s will no longer sync to iTunes now that I downloaded iOS 8.1.2 I get the message that it "failed to sync because the sync failed to start." Doesn't work with cable or over WiFi. Anyone else having this problem? Any suggestions?

Before connecting your device to iTunes to sync, double-click the Home button, and close all open apps by sliding up on the thumbnails until all open apps are closed. Then try the sync again.

With iOS8.1 I can no longer sync MAC iTunes playlists to my iPhone. Purchased new song with iTunes and it is on my MAC but will not update to iPhone when I sync!

With iOS8.1 I can no longer sync my iTunes MAC playlists to my iPhone! I purchased a song on Itunes store and put it into a playlist on my MAC. When I sync (as usual) with my iPhone, the playlist no longer updates to include the new song (i.e., playlist stuck at 16 not 17 songs)... yes, all devices are authorized... If I turn on HOME SHARING it will work, but the moment you disconnect, everything goes away... What is APPLE doing?

Take the following steps:
1) while connected to wifi, toggle off then back on the Show All Music and iTunes Match options shown in my original post. Important: I did this step before, but wasn't connected to wifi, and my music disappeared. Subsequently, I connected to wifi and turned off and then back on those options and everything came back though it was grayed out and my only option was to download music.
2) To get streaming over cellular back, go into Settings>General>Cellular and scroll down to the "Use Cellular Data for:" options and make sure the iTunes option is set to 'On'
The above steps will bring back the streaming capability which seemed to go away when you update to 6.1. It didn't ACTUALLY go away, but something about the update toggled off the iTunes option in step 2 above.
I did a final test by turning off wifi, opening Music app and selecting a song. It played successfully without downloading! Crossing my fingers, but I think I'm good to go!

Bought a new iPhone 6 and synced from iTunes but vibration doesn't work. I did the reset option using side and home buttons but in vain. Please don't tell me to set up a new device coz its gonna be a hassle restoring apps, emails, contacs...etc.

Try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose any data by resetting, but it can cure some glitches.

Are you using the original cable that came with Nano and not your iPhone's cable? Have you worked through the troubleshooting in this Apple support document?
