Apps crashing on iPad

Is anyone else having problems with every app crashing on iPad 2 on iOS 7. If I even have one app open with one open in the background, my apps close out. Sometimes the device will shut off and restart. I've done factory resets, wiped the device, and reinstalled the OS and nothing helps it. I am honestly about to switch to a Samsung Device because this iPad is so awful and I can't get anything done. It has crashed 4 times while I have typed this post which took less than 5 minutes to create!!

Take it to the Genius Bar for an evaluation. You've already done everything that we could recommend.

Try a Reset [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release. The screen will go blank and then power ON again in the normal way.] It is app and data safe!

  • Mail app crashes on ipad

My mail app crashes each time I try accessing it.  I can't get my emails.  It happened after a recent update to some apps.  How can I get this fixed?

Try force quitting the app.  Double tap the home button. you may need to scroll sideways to see the preview for the mail app. When you see it, flick that preview up and off the screen. Single tap the home button to exit the mode. Try your mail app again and see if it will stay open

  • Calendar app crashes on iPad after adding Google account

I just loaded my Gmail account on my iPad 2.  The native mail app works fine but when I try to access the native calendar app, it flashes on for a second and turns off leaving back at the home screen.  I deleted the account and went back to the app and it works fine (no sync with my Gmail calendar obviously).  When I re-enter my Gmail credentials the app continues to crash.  Thoughts?

    SOLVED!!!!

News about the Calendar Syncing problem with iCloud!
First of all: Now it works! Yeah :-)
    What I did:
    1. Kill my iCloud account just on the iPhone. Not on the iMac, just on the iPhone. And I told the iPhone to kill all contacts etc. JUST on the iPhone.
    2. Activate iCloud on the iPhone with my Apple-ID.
    3. After about 3 Minutes all was back again! :-) Including all my calendars now! Yippieh...
That worked for me, I hope, it will help you.

  • TS4255 How do I stop my apps crashing on iPad 2

Every time  I go on any app it crashes in around 5 minuets (or less.) I have tried rebooting, restarting and restoring. Nothing will work. All my apps are closed and it still crashes. I also have very few apps. Please help! I can't go on my iPad any more!!

Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430

  • Mail app crashing on IPad 2 IOS 8

I have a school issued IPad and randomly the mail app started crashing. It was maybe a week after I installed IOS 8.1 and updating to 8.2 did not help. It opens up to the mail format but loads nothing then crashes. I have tried a full reboot and deleting the mail account and logging in again. Since it is school issued I can't plug it into my computer. What should I do??

Try to login to your mail account from a computer's browser.  If there are many emails in your inbox, try cleaning them up, creating new folders to move them to.  After you've done that, try retrieving the mail again.  You could also try using a third party email app to see if the mail loads using it.
If the above doesn't work, then you may need to take it to the school and have them do a full restore setting it back to factory settings....that cleared the issue for some.
I had the same problem & after moving the emails from my inbox using another email app, I was able to retrieve my mail again & the problem hasn't occurred since.
    Hope this helps!

  • How come apps crash on ipad's when deployed through iphone configuration utility?

When installing app's to nine iPad 2's, they install, however, they crash on startup for each user. How come this happens?

I purchased the app on one of the ipads, sync'd it to itunes, and imported the app file into the IPCU and selected install with the ipad's connected to the computer that IPCU is running on.
What is best practice to deploy these app's (without having them crash) to multiple ipads (whether it be with a wire or wirelessly)?
Also, to answer your question, yes the ipads have all other functionality - safari works, settings are able to be customized, and everything else works (except for the apps installed)

  • Help: app store app crashes on Ipad when I try to open it

    Hi
After the latest update to my Ipad, I now can't open the app store app. As soon as I click on it it opens and closes directly. Apparantyly it is still open in the quickmenu at the bottom of the ipad, but I cannot seem to open it up from there either.
Can someone help me with this.
I don´t feel like paying for service that I only need because the latest update didn't work....
So if anyone knows why this happens, please let me know.
I have tried logging of and logging in again, doing a reboot, connecting it to my computer etc etc....nothing works.
    This *****!!!!

    HI..
    Try "resetting" ...
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that didn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
    Try the App Store.

  • My message app crashes on my ipad 2

Two days ago my message app on my ipad 2 started to crash mid message.  I tried restarting the ipad by holding down the home and power buttons.  That did not correct the problem.  This morning I updated to iOS 7.0.4.  This also did not correct the problem.  I deleted all the feeds I had going with people.  Then started a new feed with one of the people.  It still crashes.  Also, I am unable to delete specific messages in the feed like I use to be able to do.  Is there anything else I can try other than completely resetting the ipad?  Thanks!

The feature to delete specific messages stopped working today as far as I know.  I was not working before I did the iOS update today.  I did all that you suggested above.  So far the app has not crashed.  However, I still am not able to delete specific messages by tapping the message and then tapping the more tab.  In fact many times when I tap on a specific message, nothing happens.

  • Why does the YouTube app on the iPad Air 2 crash after posting a comment?

I got a brand new iPad Air 2 about 2 weeks ago, and ever since I started using the YouTube app, I've had a few issues. Every time that I post a comment or reply to a comment, the app crashes. This can be very annoying, especially when it happens in the middle of watching a video. When I re-open the app, I have to go back, find the video I was watching, and find the exact time that I was at before the app crashed. I need to do this every time, and this prevents me from being able to reply to comments or post anything at all. I had the YouTube app on my old iPad 2 which I had for about 4 years before upgrading to the iPad Air 2, and I never had any problems such as this one. I am not sure whether there is something wrong with my iPad, or maybe it could just be a bug within the app, which in that case, the developers would need to fix. Please let me know what you think of this issue, thanks.

Delete youtube app from iPad and then download it again. Or try clearing out youtube like press home button twice and clear the Q out.

  • The video app on my iPad now only shows a black screen. Used to work fine then crashed in the middle of a short video.

The video app on my iPad now only shows a black screen. Used to work fine then crashed in the middle of a short video.  When I open the app the screen is just blank. As it is a default app I can't delete and reinstall. Anybody else experience this?

Try searching for the name of one of your videos on the iPad's spotlight search screen - swipe your first homescreen to the right, type in it's name, and if it finds it tap on it to see if it plays.
If that doesn't work then try closing the Videos app via the taskbar : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Videos app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Videos app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option if the two above don't work is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • Ipad: photo app crashes while "make new stream" for icloud

    HI,
I have a problem using the photo app on my ipad (with the most actual ios software IOS7.1). I would like to generate a new shared photostream. When I touch "make new stream" the app crashes and needs to be closed with "doubleklick" on the home button and close it. Otherwise it does not work again.
I already made a soft-reset, a complete reset of the ipad. I also de- and reactivated the Icloud setting.
