Apps deleted when syncing; never happened bifore ???

Hi, I've sync'd many times but today my apps disappeared.
(Since previous sync, I had updated to iTunes 10.1.2.17)
I saw in discussions I needed to deliberately load purchased items in iTunes; I had never known that but had never had this problem.
I did have it set to sync automatically when I connect phone.
Does it mean I must have had box unchecked for "sync apps"
and when I updated iTunes, it reverted to a different state?
I found the apps are not in iTunes either.
All my apps had been loaded on iPhone, not through iTunes.
Is there a way I can get my apps back? (some paid, some free) Thank you. Ralphiel

You can only sync to one iTunes library at a time, if you change computers, all content will be erased and replaced with the content of the new iTunes library.
So, did you make sure that you set up your iTunes account on that computer before connecting to it?
Try to backup manually to save your data and settings by right clicking on your ipod on the device list and choosing "backup". After your ipod got erased due to the change of the computer, restore the ipod again using the manual backup.

If you have your bookmarks in Firefox, then no, they are stored on your computer and have no connection with iGoogle at all.

Previous photo's deleted when syncing a new folder.

Trying to sync photos with Itunes (windows 7)into separate albums, but when syncing a group or folder it deletes the previous album or photos. I can't see anything in Itunes to change to avoid this. Apple is not making "Photo" PC friendly.

I have a 16GB 3G iPad. I sync it to an iMac 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo running 10.6.3.
I have a desktop folder that I use for syncing photos with the iPad. Recently I modified some of the photos in the desktop folder and when I try to sync, I get a dialog saying: “The iPad is synced with another photo library or folder. Do you want to sync with your photo library and replace all existing photos on this iPad with those from your photo library?”
When I open the iPad Photos pane in iTunes, the “Sync Photos from:...” check box shows only iPhoto and when I check the box, a dialog pops up saying, “Are you sure you want to sync photos? All existing photos and albums on iPad will be replaced with photos and albums from the current photo library.” I don’t WANT to sync to an iPhoto library, I want to sync to the photo folder on my iMac’s desktop. I am not given the opportunity to pull down the menu beside the “Sync Photos from:...” menu.

Let's say I buy a few songs on my iPad. Will they be deleted when I sync with iTunes on my computer?

They should not be, they should be synced to the computer.
Before syncing , click File>Transfer Purchases if you want to be sure.

Hi. New iPad, syncing with OS10.5, iTunes 10.1.2
Purchased some apps (NYTimes, Pages, Sketchbook Pro) on iPad during trip. Came home and sync'ed. Apps deleted (along with data?), although free apps still present. Re-purchasing from iTunes allows me to pay full price. Account activity shows the apps were purchased. Download queue is clear. I'm logged in to my only Apple account.
I haven't yet tried to restore the iPad from iTunes, as I'm afraid of losing data.
I lost some paintings I did and a eulogy for my step mom. Any help restoring this stuff would be greatly appreciated.

From the iTunes menu bar click iTunes / Preferences then select the Advanced tab. Click: *Reset Warnings* and *Reset cache*, click OK.

Any apps you have installed on the iPad, whether paid of free, are listed on the left side of your iTunes window under Library / Apps.

The only way is to create an Apple ID without a credit card. The one you currently created will not work, it has to be a new one, and use this support document to do it. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2534 Make sure you follow the directions exactly.

Can I prevent old calendars to be deleted when syncing?

I was wondering if there is any way to prevent iCal from deleting old calendars when syncing Blackberrys or other phones that usually force cancellation upon sync of events which are older than a certain time frame.

Apps purchased on iPad are being deleted when syncing with iTunes

Hi,
I am having a problem with the apps that I purchase using my iPad not syncing with iTunes. I have purchased several apps and books. When I use my iPad to make the purchase and then plug the device into my computer to allow it to sync, iTunes goes through the process of backing up the iPad and then transfering purchases over. When it gets to the step for syncing tracks it goes and removes all of the apps that it just said it was transfering the purchases over for. Nothing I do seems to work to fix this issue so that the apps aren't removed when I sync. So far the only ones that stay on my computer and device are the apps that I used my computer to buy and then are synced onto my iPad. Please let me know what to do about this as I have lost several apps.

I am not sure what the problem could be.
You may want to try disabling auto-sync, make some purchases on your iPad, and then transfering the purchases and see if they show up in your iTunes library and the checkbox for the apps are checked for syncing to your iPad. If they are then you can try syncing and see if that deletes them from your iTunes library.

Apps are deleted when sync ipod

When I sync my touch, apps on it keep getting deleted so i have to stop the sync

I just tried again and it says "you have authorize this computer, if you don't your apps will be deleted"
i keep authorizing it and it says "this computer is already authorized"
But it keeps asking me to authorize it anyway

Restored Iphone App always deleted when synced with iTunes

I inadverantly deleted the iPhone App, 1Password. Although I am able to re-install it by either a new download from the Apple Store or by a full iTunes Restore, the app keeps getting purged from my iPhone everytime I sync with iTunes. How do I correct this?

Check your list of applications in iTunes. If it isn't there go to the App store and download it again. Connect your iPhone and before syncing starts select the iPhone in the sidebar to the left and then select the applications tab across the top. Find 1Password in the list and make sure it has a checkmark.

So I'm unfamiliar with the older iPod touch's and my little sister asked me to put music on her iPod. I'm not sure what gen. it is but when I try to sync the music it says "Are you sure you want to remove existing music, movies, TV shows, books, and tones from this iPod and sync with this computer?"
This means is will only remove that stuff right? I don't want to do it and then have it turn out that it erases everything and then have her cry, especially because Sunday is her birthday! All it says other than that is "Remove and Sync". What does it mean EXACTLY?

Game level deleted when syncing with new library?

I created a new library in itunes. I logged on with my apple ID. Game apps i paid for where downloaded to itunes. When i now sync my ipad with the new library, will the levels in the games still be on my ipad, or will they be deleted?

Thanks for the tip. However, the document does not contain the answer to my question. That document says that the music library is completely deleted and then new library is uploaded from the computer. I guess that the same will happen to movies and TV-shows. The questions is, if this will happen to apps also in a way that all the settings and saves will be lost. I would not want to try this without knowing what will happen, because losing all my saves would be annoying, even though there is nothing really important.
