Apps doing malware activity?
Hi guys,
I know that the applications on iTunes are checked at least for stability issues. Are you guys aware of any checks for virus like/malware activities? I have a wireless account which I only use with my iPhone, and got a warning about copyright infringement.
It says I share files over BitTorrent protocol using Port: 46367. I don't have any BitTorrent applications and my phone is not jailbroken. All the applications that I have are purchased through iTunes (and they are mostly free apps).
As I cannot pinpoint which application is doing this backdoor activity, I don't know which app to get rid of.
Can I file a complaint giving the list of the applications that I have, and have them checked for this kind of activity, and possibly have them removed from iTunes?
Or what do you guys suggest?
That was what I thought (without having solid information about it), I specifically told them I was using associated wireless account only with iPhone, but the IT department person that I talked counted me 3-4 application names which he said was working on iPhones (unfortunately I don't remember the names).
This could be useful information though. Thanks for pointing out.
It is kinda getting out of the focus, but is it possible that DHCP logs may not reflect accurate information?

Does the anyone know if the IHandy flashlight app contain malware?? If so what are the removal steps to insure the malware is removed??
There is no malware that can affect an iPhone unless it's been jailbroken.
Some apps request to do things, like access your location or contacts, and can continue to do so in the background. If this app requested permission for either of these things, you should delete it. A flashlight app has no need for such information.

Most of the default Mac Apps does not work after Mavericks Upgrade
Hi, I did everything, but nothing has brought me out of this misery .
I Updated Maverick just 2 days after its release. Had no problems, other then slow Finder. I restarted my iMac last week, and got caught with these issues, known to me, not sure what all bugs are there.
All these apps does not work: App Store, TextEdit, Preview, Terminal, iBooks, Maps, Calendar, Contacts, Mail, etc
I do not know how to do a clean install, as I had upgraded from Snow Leopord to Mountain Lion and to Maverick using App Store, which does not open at all.

How do you get quicklook app. back on Activity monitor
I am not very technically minded.
I accidentally deleted the Quicklook App. from my Activity Monitor,can
anybody tell me how you can get it back on the Activity Monitor.
Thanks in advance.In Finder`s top menu bar there is no Icon of the Quicklook App.
Is the Icons up above "View" where it shows the option`s to show has
a List,Cover Flow,or Grid.
The titles on top of the Finder window are Back,View, Action,and Path,and that`s it
What does the Quicklook Icon look like.

I was successfully creating Windows Store Apps using Visual Studio 2013, using my dev account. VS has recently re-registered my ID as well.
Today, any Strore App (including "Mail", "Store", "PC Settings"...) not running nor any of project is not launching when I start debugging. It gives dialog as shown below. Also, as the app starts showing as installed in the
start screen, when I tap it there, it doesn't run. Just splash screen flashes for a few seconds and then disappears.

Open Activity Monitor in Applications>Utilities, select All Processes & sort on CPU%, any indications there?
How much RAM & free Disk space do you have also, click on the Memory & Disk Usage Tabs.
Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens.
In the Memory tab of Activity Monitor, are there a lot of Pageouts?

Good question. You don't need to worry about running those. They will run automatically when needed by the system. The information they generate (some) is sent to apple automatically (unless that setting is disabled).
If you want to look at the output of these files, most can be found in the console (Utility/Console). Open the app and look at all the system messages your Mac generates....on the right hand side I would bet you already have a crash log or spindump that was collected without you even knowing it. -

It's well known that Android phones are highly susceptible to malware. One of the security companies a few months ago identified 297 apps that were malware. All but 3 were for Android devices. The 3 that could infect an iPhone all had been removed from the App store and deleted from phones within days of their release. -
Video app does not show movies or tv programs. What can I do?
The Video app does not show the movies and tv programs stored in the Ipad. They are still there. In fact, I can play them back in my computer when the Ipad is connected. I have closed the app, turned off/on the Ipad to no avail. What can I do?

<Email Edited by Host>Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.

Android App does not work for me
Hello:
I have an Android Tablet with 2.3.3 version.
The tablet has flash player 10.1 and Adobe Air 3.0 installed.
I have made a simple apk in flash CS5.5 iwith Adobe Air SDK 3.1.
The application only has a frame with a "Welcome" label.
When I install the application in the tablet is OK but when I run it I have no error only a black screen,

thank you very much.The device I run from is Android 4.1. It does work but the screen ratio is wrong. Not slating BT. The app is brilliant but want to watch in full 16:9. I think it's a slight oversite on there part which can be easily fixed.
My device connects to the TV via HDMI so I suspect the BT sports apps does not recognise this and plays it in 4:3 left justified.
