Apps don't update properly on iOS 4.3.5

Ever since updating to 4.3.5, I have a new problem when updating my apps via the App Store.
I see the badge telling me I have updates waiting, so I tap to open and then choose "Update All". I then enter my password and watch as all the progress bars start updating my apps on the Springboard.
The problem is that when they have all updated, the progress bars stay at full and still say "Loading..." for all apps. I can no longer use them. I have to shutdown my iPhone, wait and reboot, and then the apps appear to have been updated and are usable again. Unfortunately though, they are no longer associated with their correct folders and I have to go through all of them and drag them back into the correct folders, which can be really time-consuming if I'm updating about 10 apps at a go.
Does anyone else have this problem? Is it a known issue? Is there any workaround? Next time I will try doing my update via iTunes on the Mac, hopefully that will solve my problem for now.

You can update the device with another computer, however you will have to have your content backed up and also synced to that device. The only place to get synced content is on the computer it is synced to. Music, apps, as long as they are purchased from iTunes can be moved back, but other content cannot. Backup does not backup synced content. Also, if you were to lose contacts, or calendar, without the synced content, they would be lost. You are going to have to get a computer you can sync this info to, or you will lost content if you try to update.

You may of had a corrupted install. Connect to iTunes backup then restore. Or update the apps on itunes then sync to the iPhone

Apps don't update after region change in itunes!

I have changed my free USA iTunes account region to Hungarian (and added my bank account to it).
After that my previously bought apps don't update automatically, and manually too.
They don't show up in the purchased list either.
I have tried to update Skype manually (I have the 3.7.6 for my iPad), it downloads the newest version (3.8), but still keeps the original version.
The automatic update keeps saying no updates available.
If I redownload any previously purchased it still doesn't show up in purchased list (iTunes says I have to buy again),
Please help me! I can't change my region back to USA, because I don't have any bank account in the US (Apple won't allow to "downgrade" my paid account to free).

I lost all of my iPad apps when I updated it to IOS 5.0.1 They all went to my iPhone 4S however. I did backup my iPad before the update. How do I get them back? Any help? Thanks

Rich Symbol Contents don't update properly

Hi Fireworks people,
I have a Rich Symbol in which you can type text and set a few properties. Saving works but sometimes when there are many instances of this Rich Symbol in a document only parts of the entered text are displayed on the stage. In the symbol properties the text is still there.
It looks like the Rich Symbol doesnt update properly for some reason. Is there a way to "refresh" the symbols to show the full text from the symbol properties on stage as well?
I thought by calling the applyCurrentCalues() function of the Rich Symbol, Widget.UpdateWidget or smth like that. BUt the documentation on these methods as well as other properties of the Widget Object isnt sufficient!
In some cases when many Rich Symbols with text are on stage the text is even lost. Its visible in the symbol props but wrapped in a new line(red outline in image). You cant access the text anymore and have to re-create the symbol.(see screenshot) and an error is shown (blue outline)
I guess the second problem is some sort of bug but maybe someone has a tip/trick/advice for the first problem, to update the Rich symbol.

Pagemaker is old software, it was designed for use when fonts were quite limited. It will only display the first 256 characters in a font. Modern fonts have moved way beyond this limitation. The solution is to stick with older fonts, or to upgrade to indesign. It does sound like your souvenir font could be corrupted, running font management software is a good practice no matter what program you use.

Apps won't update properly

I think that this is a common question that I haven't found an answer to but I despratly need one. I currently have 17 out of my 21 doenloaded apps that need updating. (no it's not storage space) I enter my password and it's confirmed, then suddenly goes right back to when I began. Nothing changed. It's increasingly getting worse as more and more apps need to be updated. Some of the apps I can't use because "an update is avalible!" But I can't get it so those apps are unless. Yes I have tried deleting the apps and redownloading them. It works, but all my data for said app is gone (I'd rather not do that) yes I have tried resetting the phone. Yes I have tried calling apple. But I ran out of complimentary calls, but none if the people I talked to could fix the issue! Anyway if you know how to fix this or anything that may help please reply. Thanks!

Also I have not gotten any error messages of any kind, I just enter my password and the loading thing spins and goes right back to "update" and nothing has happened

How come my apps don't update/refresh unless I open them?

I'm using an iphone 4.
I'm coming from android so I'm not sure if this is something particuler to my phone as far as the problem is concerned.
But what's going on is that aside from the built in mail app, messaging app, and phone app...none of my apps will refresh or be aware of any new messages,notifications, or anything unless I actually click on the app and open it.
On my old android, for example, I would recieve a notification almost immediatly if someone commented on my facebook post and/or if I had recieved a new text message to my google voice number.
On my iphone (which is running the most current version of iOS) if I want to know if I have any new facebook notifications, I actually have to click on my social folder then tap on facebook, open the app and then proceed to wait for facebook to update and refresh the ENTIRE app before I know if I have anything new.
This is extremely annoying coming from a phone that would automatically keep me informed on anything new.
I am currently spending time at a location where i don't have service unless i go into town.
So I use the google voice app to text people over wifi.
So it's really annoying being required to remember to constantly check if i have any new texts by opening the google voice app, rather than just being notifyed automatically by the OS if I recieve a new message.
Anybody have any idea why this feature isn't working?
Or am I just unaware that iOS doesn't have this feature...which I highly doubt.

Sounds like a defective book or copy. Try deleting and redownloading and then user the Report a Problem link on your receipt or in your iTunes account page.

Cannot connect to itunes or app store after updating 5s to iOS 8.1.1 - have already gone through troubleshooting.

I'm super late in updating the iOS on my phone because I heard people were having so many problems with this one. I updated today and low and behold - issue. In order to make room for this update I reset my phone and erased all content - then preformed the update to iOS 8.1.1. This is done and I logged back in and started to set it up again.
However, now I can't connect to either itunes or the app store. I've already been on apple.com and gone through the troubleshooting section there. Meaning:
- My date and time are correct.
I've turned off automatic setting, made sure it was correct and turned it back on as a second step.
- Obviously it's updated to the current 8.1.1
- I'm unable to connect either on LTE or when connected to Wifi however, my computer connects to wifi and can get to itunes.
Even though I am connect to wifi - data is turned on for both itunes and app store.
- Restrictions are off
I have fully closed the apps and restarted my phone after taking the above steps but still no luck. I don't get a specific error number only "Cannot Connect to itunes".
Any ideas with this one?

I had the exact same issue. try log out of the App Store in Settings. Then make sure to close all apps running, and log in again. worked for me. Good luck!

After having installed iOS 8 on my IPhone 5, which has never let me down before, I have had this ridiculous problem, which goes like this - I can't update the existing apps on my phone. Anyone else with a similar problem?

I just fixed My Wife's iPhone 5.
steps
1. deleted all apps that were trying to update
2. Reset iPhone By holding down the home and power button.
3. When the iPhone powered back on it immediately prompted us for our iTunes account information
4. Once I put that in it started downloading the apps but they got hung up again!
5. Turned off WiFi, connectEd to LTE (AT&T)
6. Apps finally pulled down.
Not sure what it is because my iPhone 6 plus can pull down apps and updates from the App Store and iTunes while on WiFi. So can all of the other iPads and iPhones in our house. And Her iPhone worked on Safari, Facebook etc.
I think it's an issue with iTunes credentials. Like they're not being passed from the device to Apple.

Since two months ago, i don't able update my Apps (for my iPhone 3G) from my mac!
iMac Intel C2D with 10.5.6 and iTunes 8.0.2
I downloaded 60s apps (free and paid), if i try "Check updates" from Application in iTunes a pop-up show me that there aren't any update for all my apps!!
So, if i try to check updates from my iPhone, iTunes show me the updates normally!
I tried to logout and re-login in my iTunes Store Account but without result.
Any ideas?

Twitter app broken after update (iPhone 3G/iOS 3.1.3)

I updated the Twitter app on my iPhone 3G to version 3.0.2 earlier this week. The app does not work at all. I click the app, it goes to a white screen, and then closes again. I'm on iOs 3.1.3; no problems at all with the phone since upgrading to 3.1.3. Any thoughts?

I have App Store accounts 1 in UK 1 in Ireland. Keeps forcing me back to Irish Store so UK only apps don't update

I have signed into the UK store. I tap update all, and the pop up then asked me to sign into the Irish store with that email address and password. I've checked in many places, but have not found where this Irish store info is being " remembered" - except maybe iCloud? Anyone had a similar issue ?

Change to Irish App Store
1. Tap "Settings"
2. Tap "iTunes & App Stores"
3. Tap on your Apple ID
4.Tap "View Apple ID"
5. Enter your user name and password.
6. Tap "Country/Region."
7. Tap "Change Country/Region"
8. Select the country/region where you are located.
9. Tap "Done".
Note: If the change doesn't take effect, sign out of account and sign in again.

Apps don't work after installing ios 6

after I installed Ios 6 on my ipod touch 4th two wks ago none of my apps work correctly and I can't even connect to app store or itunes. I get an error "cannot connect to itunes".. also can't connect to safari. I sent my ipod over to apple but because i have physical damage they would not repair. I had no problems with it until i installed ios 6. i have restore back to new and still same issues. thanks for any help!

If you still have the problem after restoring to factory settings/new iPod that indicates a hardware problem.
