Apps From folders re-appearing on the home screen

This is the second time. An app I downloaded a week ago and put into a folder re-appeared back on the home screen outside of the folder when I woke my iPad (2012) a few minutes ago. It's just weird. I think it might be happening when the iPad is syncing via wifi.

That is a very distinct possibility that what you suspect could be happening. How to pervent it, I don't have a clue. I have seen other users talk about folder corruption or folder destruction when they sync their iPads, so while I don't think it's a widespread issue by any means, it does occur, even thought there is no reason why it should.

I downloaded AirPlayIt yesterday from the app store. It was on my iPad yesterday. Today, however, the app icon does not appear on my home screen. To reset the icons on your iPhone home screen to the factory default, follow these steps:
1. Touch Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset Home Screen Layout

Why does my iPod exit apps by itself and go to the Home Screen?

I have a black 4th generation iPod Touch with iOS 5.0.1. I haven't dropped it, spilled liquids on it, etc. I've never jailbroken it. Sometimes when I am running an app, the iPod exits the app and goes to the Home Screen by itself, without me pressing the Home Button. Anyone know why this is and how I can fix the problem?

Try the standard fixes:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

When i click on the music app or the video app, it just flashes back to the home screen?

So yeah, basically i just click on the music or video app, it looks like its about to show my music with the usual white background and then it just flashes back off onto the home screen. Very confusing! If anyone could be of help i'd be very greatful

I would try this sequenc first
- Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.

When I'm on an app sometimes my ipod shuts off the app and brings me back to the home screen. Whats wrong with it?

It only happens on some apps but sometimes it will shut off and bring me to the home screen i think its happened while im using safari on my ipod to.

It can happen from time to time, especially with third-party apps, though shouldn't happen too often with the ones created by Apple, such as Safari. Turning your iPod completely off and then on again can sometimes help.

Everytime I open anything on my Iphone, it exits whatever I have opened up and returns to the home screen. I have deleted most all of my apps thinking this would solve it. The information detailed below can help you locate Facetime.
If you can't use FaceTime or find the FaceTime app, follow these steps. FaceTime might not be available, or might become unavailable, on devices purchased or used in certain countries, including Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Check your device's region of purchase for more information.
In Settings > General > Restrictions, make sure FaceTime and Camera are on. Disabling Camera also disables FaceTime.
Update to the latest version of iOS.
Restore your device:
Back up your device to iCloud or iTunes.
Tap Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings. This will erase all user data from your device.
When complete, set up your device by selecting your region and language, then restore your data using the iCloud or iTunes backup. When you set up and restore a backup from iTunes, make sure that your computer's language, country, date, and time are set correctly.
If you still can't find the FaceTime app, see if you can go to Settings > FaceTime. If Settings > FaceTime is present, try using the Spotlight Search to find the FaceTime app.

I downloaded the app imovie but it disappear on the home screen

Everytime i download iMovie it shows me the app on the homescreen for few seconds and then it just disappears. Help me please. I paid for this app.

Every time I download something from the app store, in never actually installs on the home screen.

So I'm sitting there on my bed, going through the App Store looking for some new Apps. I download some but I notice when I click the home button their nowhere to be found. I look in folders, everything. I go back to the App Store and try to open the App from there, but every time I tap the button it does not work. I decided to restore my IPod to factory settings hoping it would help the problem. For a short amount it did. I could download apps and nothing would happen. Finally I tried to install and App, and it did not appear on the home screen. The problem happened again, and I would really like to know how to fix this.

If you successfully restored (went through all steps without error) to factory settings/new iPod via iTunes (Not via Settings>General>Reset>Erase all Content and Setting) and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem.

When turning Off Restrictions, iPad moves previously restricted apps to the home screen

I this normal?
I've had the iPad Air for about 2 weeks now... and I'm sure I haev set and disables restrictions about a week ago with no problem....
But now..
If I restrict apps for age 9+ for example... those apps will be hidden from their folders... which is good and works as it should be.
When I then disable the restrictions it takes the app shortcut out of the folder and leaves it on the home screen!
To test this again I again enabled restrictions on ALL apps and then disabled the restrictions.... and the result was that ALL of my downloaded apps got moved out of their folders and placed on the home screen.
The apps like calendar and face time that come with the iPad were left in their folders.
What's going on????

Thanks for the help... It's too bad that it works that way.... I have folders for each person in the family and wanted to age-restrict apps when my kids were playing, then disable restrictions whenever I was going to use it.... I guess I'll just have to leave those age restricted apps on the home screen.
