MMy apps have stopped updating, just sitting there. what do I do?

1. Try update these apps using iTunes and sync to iPad.
2. You can also delete apps from storage and re-download them again (data will be lost)

  • My Apps have stopped updating

My apps won't update the circle turns and then straight back to update.

I am also having problems with Apps not updating since the 22nd July.
I have an Iphone 5 and Ipad 3rd gen - Both are not performing or even looking for the updates.
Have tried wifi/3G restarting and signing out/in of the apple id, switching Auto updates on and off and the devices can download apps and music fine and even sync between the 2 devices when downloading music on the phone.
They just are not looking to even entertain the idea of updating apps since the 22nd ?
My other half has the same phone, same level of os, 7.1.2 and she has had updates on the same apps i have on the 23rd.
I cannot seem to get the apps to update ...
Is it really going to mean that i have to get a cable and update them through Itunes on my Macbook ?

  • My apps have stopped updating automatically

My apps on my ohone and iPad are not updating automatically can anyone tell me what have I done to cause this ☺️

I suppose it's possible to forget what email you used (although it shouldn't be too hard to go through a process of elimination). Even if you don't have access to that email address anymore you can still contact Apple to gain access to that account. Again, this is what I did. I think it's more likely that you no longer have access to the original Apple ID email address than it is to absolutely not know what the email address was. If you still have access to the computer that has the purchased items on it from itunes (even if the computer is no longer authorized to play the items) you can look at the info for the file and it will show you the Apple ID it is associated with.

  • I have a new generation Product (Red) 64GB iPod Touch...about 2 days ago my apps just stopped updating, any suggestions?

I have a new generation Product (Red) 64GB iPod Touch...about 2 days ago my apps just stopped updating, any suggestions?

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - go to Settings>iTunes and App Store and sign out and sign back in.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • HT201317 shared photostream appears to have stopped updating

My shared photostream appears to have stopped updating to other users, any thoughts as to why this may have happened? It has worked for the last 3 weeks with no problems, I still have 4.8gb of iCloud storage and I have only uploaded 83 pictures.

At that point I would recommend just waiting and allowing it some time. Last year, before IOS 6 came out there was some backlog in some Apple systems. If problem does not fix itself in few days, I would suggest re sharing the new stream and deleting old one.

  • E-mail accts have stopped updating

As of lastTuesday (09/25) e-mail accts have stopped updating and have a continous "updating" comment

    Hi Jim,
Start with checking the services to see if tyhe SBO mailer is running. If yes check the definition of the alerts so that they are still defined to send email. ALso chech the outbox in B1 to see if there are mails not sent.
Further, check with your IT guys that the name or IP of the SMTP server has not changed.
    I hope it helps,
    Jesper

  • Firefox and all beta versions have stopped updating

All vrsions of Firefox, including Aurora and the Nightly have stopped updating.

    Hi,
Please also try deleting the '''updates.xml''' files and the '''updates''' folders in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Installation_directory installation directories.] Please note that updates usually occur between 24hrs or less, and if an update is missed a new full installation program may have to be downloaded.

  • I just installed ios 8 update and now my email won't open and I can't receive calls.  All of my apps have been updated.  How can I fix this?

I have an iphone 5 and I just installed the latest ios update and now I can't open my email app and I can't receive calls.  All of my apps have been updated.  How can I fix this?

Try a reset on the phone. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot. If it still isn't working, then restore the phone.

    Simon,
There is a lot of information on this problem in this thread: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=1498326&#1498326
It has been around since 10.4.4. For many of us (me included) the problem seems to be having .Mac bookmark synching turned on. If you have bookmark synching turned on, try turning it off and seeing what happens. Also, some people are reporting that changing the sync frequency from "automatic" to "every hour" (or presumably the other settings would work, too) corrects the problem as of 10.4.5. It would be nice, of course, if Apple would just correct the problem altogether.

  • All of my apps have stopped working

  • Apps have stopped working one by one...

I have an iPad 2.  Every time there is an update, I install it.  My problem however, is that the individual apps have slowly stopped working one by one over the past several months.  I will tap one and it will start to load, then crash.  Sometimes the app will load and start, then crash after a few seconds or when I actually try to do anything with it.  I would say that at least 50% of the apps on the device are now doing this.  I don't understand what is going on!  All apps are showing as being updated, there is no new system update needed.  Seems like my iPad is slowly rendering itself useless to me.  Thoughts? Suggestions?

  • ITunes says Apps have available updates, but none exist

In iTunes, the "Apps" page says that there is one update available, but when I click on the link to go to the download apps page, it says that there are no updates available. This problem persists through reboots, and has been going on for a month or so.
It is not really a big deal, but the obsessive compulsive side of me gets a little annoyed by it
I think it might have started when I put the computer to sleep while updates were downloading.
Does anyone know how I can "reset" what iTunes thinks needs updating? Or at least find out what it really thinks is out of date?
    Thanks,
    Ron

This happened to me as well. I use an iMac as my main machine, but have a laptop that my daughter uses. I use my Apple ID on both computers. I would occasionally see on my iMac that I have updates available and would click update and get the No Update Available response, yet the red badge remains displaying that I have an update. Found that a few people had this happening as well via these forums so I checked on the laptop and it updated. I then noticed the red badge on the iMac had disappeared as well. If you have any other computers that share your Apple ID, I'd run update on those to see if it fixes your issue.
    Thanks,
    Bryan

  • Cannot read how many apps have an update.  The number is not aligned with the little oval that shows the number.  Please help.

I know that I'm probably the only person with this problem, but it is annoying, any help will be appreciated.

That doesn't solve the problem.  I have updated my apps, however new updates appear all the time.  Impossible to see how many this way, and it also makes it impossible to see how many TV shows are in my iTunes library.  I know it's not an earth shattering problem, but I'd like a real solution.  Not one equal to telling someone they can survive cancer by not dying.

  • IOS 7 apps have been updated wifi but a badge still shows

IPhone has iOS 7 and apps have been set up to download on wifi. But there is still a digit that shows 9 apps need updated. Then when I go to updates everything shows up as updated already. Why does this digit 9 stay there?

    Hi Toyboy,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
    To address this issue,
I would suggest restarting and/or resetting the iPhone:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1430
If that does not resolve the issue, refer to page 146 in the iPhone User Guide to Reset All Settings:
iPhone User Guide for iOS 7

  • All Google and Twitter apps have stopped working on iPhone 6

I've had a new iPhone 6 for about a month now and suddenly on the same day last week, all google/twitter related apps have completely stopped working, like they can't access my network connection.
Google Maps, Hangouts, and Gmail are all showing the same issue, they say there is no network connection even though there is.
Twitter won't even let me sign in because it says it can't locate the server when I enter my login credentials (and I've tried multiple accounts, all with correct information).  Most odd is that even 3rd party twitter apps like Tweetbot don't seem to work either, as they won't let me login.  When I try to login using the Twitter section of iPhone settings, it tells me my login info is incorrect even though I have checked multiple times and it is.
I've tried deleting all of these apps and re installing, to no avail.
    Anyone?

settings - general - reset - reset network settings -
you will have to reconnect to any saved wifi
    Peace, Clyde
