Apps have vanished - but not deleted???

Hello,
A few minutes ago I was grouping my apps into folders.
I moved my News folder back a couple of pages/screens - but it seems to have vanished!!!
However, when I do a search of the iPhone the apps are still there and working - they just do not appear on screen with the rest of the apps.

I resynced with iTunes and then I could see the folder... though I am now doubting whether it was actually really missing in the first place... but I did look through the apps several times!!!
Confusing, it is!!!

If you intend to ever sync your phone with your Macbook then you can't delete the app from your Macbook, otherwise the apps will also delete from your iPhone (as you've discovered).

You don't have to do anything with the first iPod that you don't use anymore. If you are planning on keeping it, put in a drawer in your house and forget about it.
You don't need a second account to use with the new iPod. I use one Appl e ID and iTunes library for two iPods, and two iPad. I have different content on all four devices. You can select exactly what you want to sync to each device and it can be different content on all devices.

My apps have vanished

I've just upgraded to a 4s but I've not sync'd my other phone for ages (laptop was dodgy for ages). Now that I've had my laptop fixed, I started syncing my old iphone today in preparation for sorting my new iphone.
All my apps have vanished! I don't know where, and I don't know how to get them back. Everything has now transferred over to my new iphone, except all these apps.
Can anyone tell me what's happened? Is it reversible?

If you synced with a different computer than the one the devices was setup on it would have wiped it and resynced to what was in that library. You can redownload your apps from the iTunes store.
Make sure you are signed into iTunes with the Apple ID the purchases were ,made with and that the computer is autorized.
Computer: iTunes Store > Purchased (in the Quick Links section on the right) > Apps
Phone: Open App Store app > Updates Purchased

With your phone plugged in, open Image Capture and see if the iPhone shows up. If not, you are having a sync problem. If it shows up in Image Capture, but not iTunes, I'd delete iTunes and reinstall it.

Unless you are attempting to download a sizable file, 2.7 GB should be more than enough to continue fucntioning. Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps from the tray BEFORE doing the reset.

Contact can be edited but not deleted

Hi there,
New poster here and I wanted to share something peculiar about my new kin twom. I seem to have one contact that can be edited but not deleted. When I click the contact, all I get at the top are "favorite" and "edit" buttons. However, all my other contacts seem to have an "edit" button on top as well as a "more" button that, when clicked, gives you the option to "delete", "link", or make the contact a "favorite".
I can live with this non-deletable contact but I'm very curious as to how/why this happened. Anyone have any ideas?

Not sure what the original contact was but I guess it's possible that it was my own contact card. I did not know that the phone creates one for you. What name does the phone assign to this contact?

Is it possible to create a table (SE11) which allows users to enter data into the table but not delete data from the table?

If you generate a maintenance dialog for your table you will have to check, if the user tries to delete an entry and just send an error back that this is not allowed,
You could use e.g. event 03 - 'Before deleting the data displayed' to check if the user tries to delete something.
If you do not use a standard maintenance dialog but an own screen to maintain the data, just don't offer a delete option to the user.
However if someone writes a report where he does a delete on that table there is no standard way to prevent that.

When you go onto iTunes and you have plugged the device in it comes up at the top saying 'summary' 'info' etc if you press onto 'apps' does it show that they are ticked where it says sync apps? if not then tick it, sync it and hopefully that will help?

The e.mail was sent to me and I forwarded it. The e.mail is not in any other folder in the phone or on my mac. But it might be in my backup to the mac via itunes.

1. apple id username, that is not locked or disabled.
2. serial number of an apple product registerd in your name
