Apps icon gone from iPhone

I let my friend play with my iPhone the other day and now the "apps" icon is gone from my menu. Is there anyway to get it back? I have no idea what he did to get rid of it.

It cannot be deleted. First, swipe through your home screens was it simply moved to another home screen? If not, your friend set Restrictions, and probably a passcode as well. Go to Settings > General > Restrictions. If it asks for a passcode, Restrictions are ON. Restrictions can be used to 'hide' the icons for Safari, YouTube, Camera, iTunes, and the App Store. You'll need to get that code from your friend. The only other way to turn them off is to perform a Restore in iTunes, not from backup (meaning you'll lose all your data and settings).

There never was a FaceTime icon for the iPhone, so nothing has disappeared. FaceTime is accessed by opening Contacts, selecting a contact, and near the bottom of the contact, one of the buttons should say FaceTime.

Check Settings.General>Restrictions and make sure Installing Apps is set to On. If it is, look on all your screens and inside all your folders. If you still can't find it go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout. This will restore the home screen to its original configuration but may move other apps around to do so.

So I upgrade and uploaded/matched all my songs to iTunes Match. Everything seems to be fine, except I noticed I don't have the genius functionality on my iPhone. Basically the little atom icon is missing. Does anyone have a solution for this problem.

This is what works for me.
I do this once: I keep quite a bit of music loaded on my iPhone using the normal sync process with my Mac (via USB cable) prior to turning on iTunes Match (...let's me listen to at least some music even when disconnected from the net, like when on a plane). And then I turn iTunes Match back on (and leave it turned on) and it gives me access to the rest of my music library from iCloud when I have network access (3G or Wifi) for normal listening using my whole library over Match.
I start playing a song on my iPhone (one that doesn't have the iCloud icon)
I click the home button (physical button on iPhone that closes the Music app)
I then double click the home button (opens the task manager at the bottom)
Quit Music (press/hold on the Music icon in the tray until the little red circle with an x appears to quit the app)
Then restart Music (tap the Music icon on my iPhone home screeen)
When the Music app restarts, it opens to the last song playing. if it was one of the songs downloded to my iPhone, it has the litlle atomic symbol again and I can create a genius playlist from it.
FYI: you can enable/disable iTunes Match on the iPhone without affecting songs loaded on your iPhone (even though it says it'll replace your iPhone library, the songs are still there if you enable/disable again). Settings>>>Music>>>iTunes Match on/off.

Make sure your phone is connected to the computer and iTunes is open
1. Visit Instagram.com from your computer web browser
2. Click "Download in the app store"
3. It will download and show up in your iTunes
4. Highlight and sync the app to your iPhone (note: it will not show up on your phone, even after it says syncing is complete).
5. In iTunes, select the Instagram icon and click "Remove" or "Uninstall"
6. Click Accept and Uninstall when it asks you to confirm as it will remove instagram and its data from your iPhone
7. Disconnect the phone from the computer
8. Manually reboot the phone after exiting all apps
9. Upon re-start, you will be able to access the app in the App Store, and install it

If you can't find it on any of your homescreens or app folders, and you can't find it via the spotlight search screen (swipe your first home screen to the right), then is it hidden by Settings > General > Restrictions > Installing Apps being set 'off' ?
If not then have you tried a reset to see if you can find it after the iPhone has restarted ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the equivalent of a reboot.

How do I get it back?
In Oracle SQL Developer 3.0 I clicked
Help->Table of Contents
to bring ut the Help Center window.
It the Help Center window I used to have a Favorites tab next
to the Contents TAB on the left side of the window.
I did an unpin some how and now I can't get the Favorites
TAB back.
On the right side there is a Star + icon that does
Add to Favorites.
I can add links to favorites but I have no way to go to these
saved favorites anymore.
How do I get the Favorites TAB/Icon back?

SQL Developer depends on JDeveloper code for the Help. After closing the Favorites tab I see no way to re-open it in the UI, so I imagine there may be a bug on the JDev side. Fortunately, there is a manual fix:
In file product-preferences.xml
In directory C:\Documents and Settings\<userid>\Application Data\SQL Developer\system3.0.04.34\o.sqldeveloper.11.1.2.4.34
use Notepad to look for the lines like:
<value n="helpDynamicLinksNavigatorLocation" v="3"/>
<value n="helpFavoritesNavigatorLocation" v="0"/>

Its a easy fix,it will take too much time to type out all of the steps,
Check your email account. see if they are their, You can then import them on your DAV card, The best thing to is add them to icoud then they will be safe.
Apple support can talk you through it.

It seems really simple, I found the relevant place in the user manual it said this: "Customize the Home screen using iTunes: Connect iPhone to your computer. In iTunes on your computer, select iPhone, then click the Apps button to see the image of the iPhone Home screen".
I did that several times; if I unplug the phone and plug it back in the "apps" the in iTunes reverts to the same annoying arrangement on my home pages, if I do not unplug the phone iTunes stays the same. I have restarted both my phone and comupter.
This started because I synced my phone last night and this morning Facebook will not load although it tells me that I have messges. It seemed like a good time to get the dang thing in order. So I deleted the old Fb app and tried to add a new one via iTunes and it shows it as "will install" but when I sync nothing happens.

One of two ways:
1. Sync your iPhone using iTunes on your computer. If the app is on iTunes on your computer, and you have not stopped it from syncing to the iPhone, it should reappear.
2. Open the App Store on your iPhone. Click "Updates" in the lower right, then "Purchased" on top. Find the app there and download it again.

All of the app icons on my iPhone have disappeared...why??

Help! I ran an update on 6 apps in the app store and some were sat at 'waiting' for 5 hours. I tried to click on them but nothing was happening, so I switched off and then on again. This seemed to erase the icons but they could still be found using the spotlight search. I went to the app store but it wouldn't let me delete and reinstall as it needed the icon to do this, so I did a screen layout rest on my iPhone to see if that would help.....er, no - now ALL of my purchased iPhone app icons have been completely removed from my home screen. WHY???

Try resetting the phone:
Hold the home and power buttons at the same time until the Apple boot logo appears. No data will be lost.
After that, try going to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout again.

It's not an ad/demo. It's the app needed to use the Apple Watch with your iphone. Like all apps that are part of the iOS, it can't be deleted.
