Apps Icon on Ipod Touch Missing
My apps icon is not on my home screen, No Apps tab for sync on itunes either, need help
If the Apps option is missing in iTunes, go to Edit>Preferences>General and check the Apps box to show them. You should see it then.
Also, make Restrictions are turned off in your iPod's Settings. You can find it by heading to Settings -> General -> Restrictions. That might be why your Apps Store icon is missing.
Has your iPod been jailbreaked? I don't believe you can delete the Apps Store icon normally. The other thing is you can only show 11 screens - do you have more than that?

You can't seriously believe users would be *that* idiotic, even on a sue-happy country like the US… And while Apple could get sued, it's not like Apple Legal would lose a case like that; for someone to die in the first place *because of the iPod Touch*, first-responders (be them regular bystanders or medical professionals) would have to be stupid enough to believe they could use it to make calls and not try doing that using instead, duh, a regular phone that they would likely be carrying with them anyway, and for Apple to be in the least bit accountable, the interface would have to misdirect them and make them believe they could in the first place.
Except it doesn't. It never did. The iOS interface, on the iPod Touch, has no references whatsoever to calling functions, be they regular or emergency-related. If you tap a phone number detected by smart filters, you can't dial it (I believe you're offered the option to save it on the Address Book, though), and on the lock screen, there is no “Emergency Call” function (nor would there be such a function on the Health ID page, either). So… I fail to see your point.
And you can't seriously believe Apple would risk, on purpose, a lawsuit by the family of someone who, having both an iPhone *and* an iPod Touch (not very likely, I know, but please bear with me) dies because s/he is carrying only the iPod Touch and unwittingly (but understandably) expects *all* Health and the potentially *life-saving* Health ID info to sync across devices via iCloud.
Nope, this is an oversight by Apple devs, and a massive one at that.
P.S.: A massive legal/functional disclaimer, such as “Warning: This device cannot connect to the cellular network. For emergency calls please use an appropriate device” or something along those lines would pretty much exempt them from any legal responsibility, while still enabling a life-saving feature. -
No App Store icon on iPod Touch - No Restrictions option
I have no App Store icon on the iPod Touch. When I go to Settings, General, there is no Restrictions option to check. I've even reset it to factory options, removed all apps and restored. Still no App Store. What now? I have one iPod Touch that is just fine and the other with this problem.

What generation iPod do you have and what OS are you running on it? You need at least version 2.0 to download and sync apps to your iPod Touch. To determine what O/S version you are using, see this Apple support document.

What is the purpose of the iTunes app on my iPod Touch?
All it does is connect to the iTunes store if I'm near a WiFi connection. It appears to be useful only for impulse purchasing of media. So why is it not named "iTunes Store"? It appears to have no other function.
Also, to listen to my iTunes music on iPod Touch I have to click on the Music button...not the iTunes app. What logic is that?
Also, iTunes has synced a movie for me, but I have no clue how to view it on the iPod Touch. It doesn't appear in iTunes on the iPod Touch, and there is no "Movie" button anywhere. What am I missing? I can't find it anywhere.For purchasing music, downloading podcasts,etc.

i'm facing problem to open any app in my ipod touch from this morning- after clicking the app icon, it goes nowhere- i can open facebook using the safari but not through facebook app- same for rest of the apps!
Holding down the center/select button and the menu button will reboot your ipod. See if that helps. Also, I'd recommend something else- I had nothing but trouble with my ipod classic until I spent $20 to get Mac OS Mountain Lion. It did what you said and sometimes wouldnt play, or wouldnt power on...
Try rebooting your ipod and let me know what happens and maybe in the future obtain Mountain Lion to aide your ipod in functionality.

Hi there, when I was trying to purchase an app on my iPod touch it asked me to answer sequroty questions which I did not know the answer to. So now I am not ble to get any apps on the iPod from the app store which is very annoying. This is a must and needs to resolved ASAP. Thanks :)

What iOS is curently on your iPod (Setting>Genral>About>Version) you need as lest 2.0 for apps but most apps need 3.0 or later. -
The touch screen is not working when I am in the Music app of my iPod Touch. How do I get it to begin working? It just stopped today.

How do I transfer my music and apps from my ipod touch 4g to a new computer?
The hard drive on my old computer failed so I no longer have access to my itunes library that was saved onto that computer. Is there anyway I can transfer my music and apps to my new computer? I would prefer not using one of those shady online tools... I don't want to lose any of my music or apps since I have some paid ones on there. I'm afraid that if I connect it to the new computer then everything will be lost. If that happens the I'll never be able to get any of my music and apps back (or at least it'll be real difficult). I am traveling out side of the U.S. and I am trying to up-date some apps on my iPod touch. Now I'm getting this message... "Account Not In This Store. Your account is NOT valid for use in the Ecuadorian store. You must switch to the U.S. store"

I think I found a fix...I went to Settings, iTunes & App Stores, then click on your Apple ID...view Apple ID...change country region to USA (even though it was already USA...just do it again...go through the steps making sure the United States store is selected...agree to the Terms of Service, THEN I think what the key is is to RE-auhorize your credit card...in my case all I had to do was enter the security code...and it worked...I am now able to download the YouTube app for example...couldn't do it before. -
Everytime i go to download an App from my Ipod Touch, the app begins to download with the words, "Waiting" underneath it.
