Apps no longer on itune library

Apps not on itunes library, having trouble syncing apps, apps from another device are in my library and old apps are not there anymore

- If they are not in the library you have to redownload them.  See:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
- For the othr apps, it appears tha someone cnnect their device and transfered them by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer
- What trouble are you having syncing the apps? Is iTunes signed into the account that purchased the apps?  Is the iPod signed into that same account?

  • How do I "transfer app purchases to [my] itunes library" on a Windows machine?

I'm on Windows 8.1 and using iTunes 11.1.5.
I was just going to update my phone from iTunes and I got a messege saying, "There are apps on this phone that aren't in your iTunes library. You should transfer all app purchases to your iTunes library before continuing." I decided to just download without updating, but now I'm wondering, how do I transfer app purchases to my computer?
Supposedly (according to mac users who I've seen post this in this community) they get a dialog when they plug their phone in asking them if they want to transfer their app purchases or if they want to synch their phone. I only get the option to synch my phone. So, how can I transfer my app purchases into my iTunes library? (I know how to back the phone up, I don't think that's the same thing).
    Thanks!

    Hello iTouch questions,
This can be done by choosing the File menu in iTunes (if it doesn't appear, you may need to hit the 'Alt' button on your keyboard, it will appear at the top of the window), then Devices, then Transfer Purchases.
After connecting your device to the computer and its icon appears in iTunes, go to the File menu, then Devices, and choose Transfer Purchases from "(Your device name)".

  • Transferring iPhone apps to a different iTunes library

    Hello!
I accidentally purchased two apps from within an iTunes Library that isn't the one I use to sync my iPhone 3G. I moved the .ipa files from the Mobile Applications folder of the incorrect Library to that folder in the proper iTunes Library, but the apps do not appear in my App listing in the proper iTunes Library.
How can I get these two apps to be recognized by my main iTunes Library?
If I download them again to the proper iTunes Library (from the same iTunes account), will I be charged again for them?
    Thanks!

  • Remote app on iphone with Itunes library / Erratic connection problems.

I have been using Remote app on my Iphone to manage Itunes for months with 100% pleasure and 0 trouble.
For a few days, it has some erratic behaviour like having difficulties to connect to my Itunes library.
In such case if I touch the Change Library button on Iphone remote screen, it connects quite instantly...
I have a simple wifi network generated by my adsl box and a single computer.
The remote setting option "stay connected" on Iphone is On.
Generally when I get connected if I quit remote on Iphone and restart it within a minut it will find the library in a jiffy most of times ... but sometimes not.
I disabled firewall : no change.
I scratched all remotes in Itunes and paired the Iphone again : no change.
Does anyone with some idea ?
    Thanks in advance.
    Jean.

Almost the same issue here. And this only started yesterday.
Initially iTunes would not pair at all, but I went into add/remove programs (Win 7 PC) and ran a repair on Bonjour, Apple Mobile Devices, and iTunes. I did not remove or reinstall any of these applications.
After this my iPhone remote app would be found by iTunes, the passcode accepted, plus the library showed up. I thought I'd cracked it...
But after a few minutes - usually when the screensaver kicks in on my PC - my iPhone loses connection to my library and WILL NOT reconnect unless I restart iTunes.
I have to say that over the years the remote App is without doubt THE most buggy, inconsistent and erratic piece of software I have ever used. If there was a decent alternative I'd have ditched it a long time ago.
Looking forward to a solution from one of the experts here (not expecting Apple themselves to even respond!).

  • Recover app no longer in iTunes store

    Hi folks,
I have an app that I bought fair and square from the iTunes store shortly after getting my first gen iPad in August 2010. This iPad is synced to my Apple ID on a PC laptop.
Since this was set up I have moved to a Macbook and bought a second gen iPad. The new iPad is synced with the same Apple ID as the old one. I have had no trouble using the iTunes store to reinstall all the apps I've purchased that are still in the iTunes store, music, addresses, blah blah...
    But...
That one coveted app is not among them and I understand that this is on account of the fact that it is no longer "sanctioned" by Apple. Is there any way without jailbreaking my new iPad that I can get this app transferred from my old iPad (PC's iTunes library) over to my new iPad (Macbook iTunes library) so that I can restore my old iPad to factory settings to sell it without loosing my beloved app forever?
I don't want to have to sync my new iPad to my old PC laptop, either!
Thanks in advance for any insight or suggestions!

    Got a link?
There is the possibility that Apple actual removed the podcast since it hadn't been used or the link was dead. And then it takes a while for it to work its way out of the directly completely (hence the already there error)
You can try re-submitting by changing the filename of the XML and the title of the podcast. You can change the podcast title back after it has been accepted.

  • What options exist to transfer app purchases to the iTunes library from an iOS device?

I have an app on my iPad that has been discontinued from the App Store, and for some reason is no longer in my app library on my macbook pro . I'd really like to transfer it to my new iPhone (this was originally an iPhone/iPod app on my old iPod touch, runs on iPad in 2x mode), however it won't sync because it can't find the source file on my MBP.  I've tried to go in through iTunes 11 into File/Devices/Transfer Purchased from iPad, however the file didn't return to my library.  Are there any other means of getting this app over to another iOS device on my account since the cloud isn't an option any longer? Thank you for any help!

If you have the 'pointer' to that app in the Apps part of your Mac's iTunes library then Transfer Purchases won't copy it over as it assumes that you already have it somewhere (even though the file itself may no longer exist) - try deleting that pointer from your library and then re-try the Transfer Purchases.

  • Why does my remote app not find my iTunes Library?

I am trying to use my Remote App on my iPhone 5 to connect to my Windows 7 laptop, the iTunes is upgraded to the latest (iTunes 11). My HomeSharing is on in both spot (iTunes and Remote App). My Apple TV shows up in Remote App but my iTunes Library does not, even if I try manually to add iTunes Library, iTunes does not pick up my phone under "Devices". Please help

  • HT1947 can the remote app access the same iTunes library while paired from 2 different iPhones

my husband and I want to use the remote app on each of our respective iPhones to access the same iTunes library via AppleTV.  is this possible?

how do i do that?  it's already working on mine, and he just loaded the remote app on his iphone and set up home sharing with my apple ID.  However, when he tries to add my iTunes library, it gives him a code but I can't see his iphone device name so we can't pair his iphone.

  • I no longer have iTunes library.xml on my PC but I have all of my songs.  How do I download them to my iPhone - it won't allow me to drag and drop though my PC recognizes the device.

My PC has all of my iTunes and it recognizes my iPhone 4 device but I cannot drag and drop the songs.  How do I copy the songs to my new iPhone without having to re-purchase everything?  Unfortunately, It appears I no longer have iTunes Music Library.xml on my PC.

My husband and I are using the same iTunes account on all mac & pc computers, but the libraries are different on each machine.  We always manually manage our music (no auto sync).  iTunes is up to date on the PCs.  My husband uses our joint iTunes account on his pc, but once again, has a different collection in his library from those on the other machines.  He can't load any music from his PC to his iphone 4.  I can load music from my mac library to my iphone 4s, but cannot load from my pc library to my iphone 4s.  How can I switch my main library that it syncs with from the mac to the pc?
    Thanks

  • Apple TV no longer "sees" iTunes library

    1.  Our Apple TV is no longer playing nice with our Mac.
    2.  iTunes on our Mac no longer plays nice with an external screen.
    SPECS:
We have a 3rd generation Apple TV (3.2) running software version 6.0 (6646.65).
Our internet is via cellular on either an iPad mini or an iPad (4th generation); both are running iOS 7.1.2.
Our MacBook Pro, where the iTunes library lives, is running OS X Mavericks 10.9.4.
    That iTunes is version 11.3.
    1.  Our Apple TV is no longer playing nice with our Mac.
This morning, all was working as it should.  This evening, the Apple TV is connecting to the internet via the "hotspot" on the iPad (4th generation).  The MacBook Pro is using the same network.  All three devices can connect to the internet, but the Apple TV is no longer "seeing" the Mac or the iPad (and they don't "see" the Apple TV, either).  Neither the computer nor the iPad will see the Apple TV to mirror with it, even though they are all on the same wireless network (again, provided by the iPad).  The Apple TV does not know that iTunes on the Mac is online.
Yes, iTunes on the Mac can connect to the iTunes Store.
Yes, homesharing on the iTunes is still turned on.
No known changes have been made to any of the three devices.
Restarting the Apple TV and the Mac didn't fix the problem.
It was just working this morning, and this evening it isn't.
    2.  iTunes on our Mac no longer plays nice with an external screen.
After re-booting the Apple TV didn't work, and still wanting to have a movie night, I connected the computer to the display used by the Apple TV.  The screen and the Mac could talk to each other.  My default is to have the larger flatscreen tv set up as an extended screen.  That worked for everything except for iTunes.  I could shift iTunes to the extra screen.  But when I started the movie, it would only play on the Macbook, leaving the extra screen only displaying our desk wallpaper.
Next I tried to set the screens to "mirror."  That started to take, but then would not.  "Aha," I thought.  "Maybe this is the problem with the Apple TV, too?"  So I rebooted the Mac.  That fixed the mirroring problem.  Except for iTunes.  When trying to play a movie in "mirror" mode, it would only play on the Mac, and the extra screen would go black.
This is a completely new problem that we've not seen before.
    Any ideas or suggestions?
ps:  the Apple TV is downloading the software update as I type ... but we'll go to bed long before it is likely to finish downloading.

!!! Apple waht have you done !!!
We have equiped our house with 5 Apple-TV's 3. Gen. and an Apple-Server (MacMini 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo) and since about 6 Month's i'm going nuts.
The Apple TV's are having randomly problem to connect to iTunes-Library (via WiFi) no matter how near or far they are away from the router.
after switching off and on iTunes all works fine. BUT THIS IS ******* ENNOYING (excuse my french). It looks to me that there is a stupid time-out
in the SW that somehow drops the WiFi. The issue could be the reconnect doesn't work. Did anybody ever investigated on this ?????
I found some forums where the apple-support was handling this with the update of the iTunes-SW and with the AppleTV-SW. Unfortunately this still doesn't work here. I even installed a new WiFi router (Apple Air Port Time Capsule) but didn't change anything !!! It looks like the stuff is getting pure quality !!!!!
Anyone having any suggestion or expiriencing the same issue please reply. It would be highly appreciated for any constructive help from Apple since is a killer
kriterium to buy more apple stuff !!! It all worked fine for more then a year and suddenly ...booooom ... and we have this ****-service now !!! What a good advertisement for apple. !!! What you think i will answer anybody asking me .... ohhh you have a few AppleTV's here can you recommend them ????
SO PLEASE APPLE FIX THIS IMMEDIATELY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • My books are no longer in iTunes library on my MacBook Pro. Not on my iBooks, either. Had over 200 books in itunes library, all synced to my iPad 2. I deleted them as I read them, knowing I still had them in iTunes. I updated to iOS 7. No books! Where?

My books are no longer in the iTunes library on my MacBook Pro. They are not in my iBooks, either. I had over 200 books in my iTunes library, all synced to my iPad 2. I deleted them from the iPad as I read them, knowing I still had them in iTunes. Then I updated to iOS 7. I still have the books I haven't deleted from my iPad, but all the other ones are nowhere to be found. No books in iTunes, no books in iBooks. Where are they? Also, going forward, if I want to add more books to my iPad, especially PDFs that are not available for purchase from the iBooks store, how do I do that? Help!

let's try working through this document. (you can skip the reinstall itunes step.)
No music shows up in iTunes after upgrading

  • New computer how do i sync my existing apps and songs to itune library

Hi my computer crashed with my itunes library so i got a new labtop and authorized the use of my i phone but i tried to sync my songs that are saved on  my phone to the itunes library but i ended up loosing most of my songs????? is there any way i can import my apps and songs that are on my phone to the itunes library without loosing them????

    1. Disable automatic syncing on connection: iTunes Prefs > Devices > Disable....
    2. Connect phone
    3. Right-click the divice tab on left border of iTunes window and select "Transfer Purchases."  This will transfer all apps and iTunes purchased music and media to the iTunes library on the new computer.
4, It's now safe to sync.
Note that this does not transfer music and media not obtained from the iTunes store (i.e. your own CDs).  These will get deleted from the phone when you sync.

  • My apps are not in iTunes library

I had to restore my iPad as new.  When I downloaded my Apps over the Cloud, many did not appear on the list of purchased Apps.
I went to iTunes on a computer to Sync directly and almost no Apps are appearing in my library.
How do I get my Apps back.  Do not want to plug in iPad for fear of making it worse.
