Apps not deleting on IPAD 3, with IOS 8.1

Not able to delete or uninstall apps from IPAD 3 after upgrading to IOS8.1. Current OS is 8.1.1. x sign on apps icon not appearing after long pressing apps icon though icons shake.

THese apps were installed by me from AppStore and not the part of standard apps eg kids games, stereo moods etc

Since yesterday 21st september apps say "downloading" while nothing happens. Is anybody having the same problem?

Same thing happened to me for the first time last night.......one update and one app install just got "stuck" on waiting. I just turned my iPad off and then back on again. Problem solved.....no more "waiting" icons. Went back to the app store and did the update for Twitter, let it finish, and then re-installed the app I was trying to install previously.
As with smartphones and computers, I have found that when a problem arises, the first thing to try is the "shut it down, and then start it back up again" option .

Since my iPad works with iOS 7.0.4, i can't open the Notes App anymore.
On my iPhone 4S with the same OS and the same version, it's working well.

Try a Restart.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Resetting your settings
You can also try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered. You won't lose any data, but it takes time to enter all of the settings again.
Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Apple recommends this only if you are unable to restart it.
Or if this doesn't work and nobody else on the blog doesn't have a better idea you can contact Apple.

There are a ton of posts on this already if you search the forums.In short...
Delete all Bluetooth profiles from your device. Do the same if your Bluetooth devices allow for that.
Setting > Reset Network Settings
Reset your iPad by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.
Repair your devices
Try again to see if the problem persists.

However, I have 3 Issues Regarding iPad 2 with IOS 7:
1.) I can no longer open up the apps from the update page. (I used to be
able to & it was a quick way of making certain that I wanted to keep an app
before I updated it.
2.) I have many apps that I have updated since installing the new
operating system & they now have "open" symbols next to them, but I don't
know how to get them off of my update list (since that has already been
done to them).
3.) My iPad has gotten stuck or frozen more in this last week since the
new update then has in the last 2 years put together. (It seems to be stemming from the "Updates" page as sometimes that page is just white & will not open, even though everything else opens & I have an internet connection.)

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. If I go to icloud.com on Safari on the ipad, it takes me to a instruction page which only says to complete icloud in Settings.

That's happening because icloud.com is not designed to be viewed from the mobile version of Safari on your iPad, only from your computer browser.* You can still access it on your iPad if you're running iOS 8 by going to icloud.com, then tapping on the address bar where the url is displayed, tap the center of the screen and drag down, then tap "Request Desktop Site" under the address bar at the top. What happens when you try.
Apps are tied to the apple id that was used to purchase it, so you can't use your new Apple id to update the app, you will need to use the old one.

You probably have disallowed changes to accounts. Go to Settings > General > Restrictions, under Allow Changes, go to Accounts and select Allow Changes.

It sounds like you may be experiencing issues on your non iOS 8 devices because iOS 8 is required to set up or join a Family Sharing group.
The following information is located in the print at the bottom of the article.
Apple - iCloud - Family Sharing
Family Sharing requires a personal Apple ID signed in to iCloud and iTunes. Music, movies, TV shows, and books can be downloaded on up to 10 devices per account, five of which can be computers. iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite are required to set up or join a Family Sharing group and are recommended for full functionality. Not all content is eligible for Family Sharing.

http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5209 might help you. An iPhone 4 can airplay content from apps that support airplay and iTunes but it cannot mirror. If your game does not have airplay in the app you cannot mirror it to the apple TV so I don't know if you can play just the music. You should have no problem playing your iTunes over airplay though.

IPad 2 with iOS 8.2 not AIR PLAYing with Appple TV 2

Apple TV with software version 6.2 works with Internet content like YouTube. Will AirPlay from different iPhone 6 when mirrored or not.
WIth iPad 2 with iOS 8.2. Can select AirPlay, can see the Apple TV in the list. Nothing happens.
have tried mirroring. No change
have tried no security on Apple tv and with a code. no change.

Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Check AirPlay is turned on on the Apple TV (turn it off and on if it already is)
Check that both devices are on the same network (Settings > Wifi, on the mobile device and Settings > General > Network, on the Apple TV).
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
Restart your mobile device.

You can update directly to iOS 6 now. Not updating to iOS 5.1.1 does not matter. If you have updated the iPad before, you know what to do.
