Apps not in purchased list

Yesterday I formatted my HDD and reinstalled Lion. I have both Time Machine and Super Duper backups andwnated to clean out all the rubbish that had grown over the past 7 years.
All good other than I can not reinstall iLife. I have tried coping iPhoto across but not luck and get an error saying not compatible with OS. Old and new OS were same version of Lion.
I have then gone to the app store and to my purchases and there is nothing there. Even though when I go to things such as Pages it says it is installed but does not show up in the purchased list.
Any help would be great.

If the iLife apps were on a separate disc when you purchased your Mac they will not be on the App store list as they were not purchased through it.. iWork the same.
New Lion Macs with iLife apps installed (and no discs) will have the iLife apps listed along with Lion in the App store purchased list.. (Mine has, it was bought a few days ago)
Change - over time, it varies..

I purchased an app on my work computer and figured I'd just download it once I got home. However, the app I purchased is only on my work computer, and I can't sync there or else I'll lose everything (except that one app). I checked my Purchased list in iTunes, and there's only music in there. Why can't I access my purchased apps from anywhere I log into iTunes? Does that mean I can ONLY purchase apps on my iphone or at home?

It is part of iOS 8, and cannot be removed. You can move the app to another page, or hide it in a folder. You can turn off the notifications for the App in the notifications center control pane.

No. You can hide them from the Purchases section of the iTunes Store through iTunes on a computer (or your iPad if it's still running iOS 5):

but there's no way to remove apps permanently, nor can they be removed nor hidden in the Purchase History.

How can I "DELETE, NOT HIDE" my app from my purchased list?

I have a child. And like children they are very clever sometimes with downloading apps. Mine has downloaded hundreds of apps on my account in the last couple years and I want to delete them from my purchased list. I am kinda OCD when it comes to Data organization and like to be able to sort quickly through my list instead of constantly questioning certain apps that I may or may not have downloaded. I think we should have the right to delete these apps at our discretion. Simply hiding the app does nothing for me. Will we see this soon?

I agree. It should be possible to completely remove any app from the 'Purchaced' list. Especially the 'free' apps that we trie and uninstall after we discover it is not what we wanted. Now these apps remain in the list forever?

I had a problem with my 3GS iphone. At the Genius Bar I was told the phone had to be reinstalled. Since I had backed up the phone I agreed. Afterwards they told me, I should not use the backup but reinstall everything fresh manually. Now I find that several apps that I have used frequently in the past and did pay for are not in my "purchased" list of the App store.
It might have something to do with the fact that the apps I used to use are now optimised for higher iOS. I cannot install iOS7, but the apps that vanished from the list can still be installed. I just dont want to buy everything again.
Does anyone have suggestion how to get back those apps?

You can re download past purchases for free but make sure and use the same Apple ID and password.

Is the new version of the app store which includes the purchased list only for ios5? My IPod touch has 4.2. Sorry if this was discussed before, but I just found out about it!

I don't think this is exactly what I meant. I have seen reference and screen shots of the App Store on the IPod itself which indicates that when you open updates, there is a "Purchases" List which shows your purchase history. It appears as though this update to the App Store app was included with IOS 5 and I wanted to know if I could get it for my IPod which originally was a 3rd generation but has been updated to IOS 4.2.
I am already running ITunes 10.4 but am not able to get IOS 4.3 through ITunes, and the manual download methods I have tried are not working.

Song in my playlist but not in purchased list.

I bought a song yesterday through iTunes. A Stereophonics track. It synced from the cloud to all my devices. Great! Works perfectly.
Except, the song is now not appearing in my "Purchased" list.
The purchased list shows I have 8 songs in my iTunes - which is correct. It also lists the Bands/Artists on the left and how many tracks for each of the. For Stereophonics, it indicates two songs, as it should. BUT, when I click on the band name, it shows only one of the two songs. The other one does not show up on my MB Pro, iPad2, iPhone 4 or iMac.
Weird or what?
any ideas? It's such a small library at the moment, it should be easy to manage. But when I grow it to a few hundred or thousand, then what?

No, but if you get Info on a song, and take a look at the Options section, there is a checkbox for "Skip when shuffling."

Yes and yes....it turned out that after I restarted my iPod and then logged out and logged back in to the App Store that my whole purchase list came back. Thanks for your time though.

You can't permanently delete any items from your purchase history, but you should be able to hide them via your computer's iTunes : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919 - if your iPad is on iOS 7, then after hiding them on your computer you may need to log out of your account on your iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then log back in for them to be hidden in the Purchased tab in the App Store app on it (the last time I hid an app I needed to do that).

App disappeared from Purchases list?

Hi, I bought and have been playing GTA: San Andreas since around its release on the Mac. I tried to download the 4GB update yesterday but had some internet issues and it kept cutting out. Eventually the download finished, but when I went to open the game it came up with a message saying: "“Grand Theft Auto San Andreas” is damaged and can’t be opened. Delete “Grand Theft Auto San Andreas” and download it again from the App Store." I assumed my internet connection cutting out every so often had caused something to mess up. I went back to the App Store to re-download the game to find that San Andreas wasn't on my Purchases list.
My question is, how can I get the game back without having to repay? I don't have the recepit Apple sent me but I do have proof I've owned the game because the icon is still on my Launchpad and get that error message.

You can re download without having to re purchase the app but first delete the app from your Mac using this free utility > Download AppCleaner for Mac - Uninstall your apps easily. MacUpdate.com
That will uninstall the app and all the associated files.
How to re download apps from the Mac App Store:
Open the App Store. From the menu bar click Store > Sign In
Click Purchases from the top of the App Store window.
Select which apps you want to re download. Then right or control click where you see Installed then click Install.
Make sure and use the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.

I do it from iTunes but then when I go to "hidden apps" on "my account" it's not there uploaded. Then I come back to "purchased" and I see the app. What can I do? What's not working?

apple.com -> support -> contact apple support -> get started -> choose your topic related to your problem (e.g. in this problem i selected itunes -> itunes store -> other itunes store topics -> the topic is not listed then you can type your problem.) if your problem is not related to any topic above, apple will give u the option to email them, just fill in all the info and your problem and press send, you will receive your reply within 48 hours. I am not sure if they offer phone support or not.
