Apps not installing... help?

I found that I haven't been able to upgrade my apps or download new apps since yesterday. This has happened before and a reset settings worked, yet this time it doesn't... The only way I the apps to finish upgrading is to go on iTunes or use my wifi and disable using cellular data. I have an iPhone 4 for Sprint. I have tried a hard reset, downloading iExplorer and deleting the downloads file, signing in and out of my account on my phone, reset all settings, reset network settings, and even a system restore to my last back up, which was yesterday when I realized there was a problem. I also have to mention that whenever I try to install an app using cellular data it goes on waiting, then loading, then it loads about a little more than half way through, and it repeats. It never finishes, it goes into a cycle until I get a pop up stating "_______ is could not be downloaded at this time." with options of "done" or "retry" and when I press done, it should stop trying to install itself yet it goes into that same cycle again where it goes waiting, loading, blue bar 1/2 way through, and then repeat again... I do not use podcasts so that could not be the problem, I have none in my downloads list.

This is a common issue with Sprint right now. My suggestion would be to contact Sprint's customer service to make them aware of your issue (explain that your data works but downloading apps does not work and everything you have tried). They are "looking into this" issue right now and hopefully the more people that complain about it will get them to a solution faster. I've been told that there is an issue with the relationship between Sprint and Apple's app store, but I'm not sure how accurate that is, although it seems right since everything else works.
I hope they find a solution, soon. Very frustrating not being able to download apps without using iTunes.

  • TS1702 What to do when you get "iTunes library app not installed on iPhone; app could not be found"

What to do when you get "iTunes library app not installed on iPhone; app could not be found". None of the Apple suggestions fix the problem. For example, with Animoto, one of the problem apps, I have removed it, reinstalled it, and still get the eoor message.

    Of course.
First of all, this started when an external drive i was using died on me. I have no doubt that these apps indeed are off my system. I figure between the apps I've bought for myself and my kid, I have about 150 apps.
    Now. The issue.
When I sync my iPad with iTunes on my desktop, it goes through normally until it gets to the apps. When that happens, it get an error box that reads "Some of the apps in your iTunes library were not installed on the iPad because one or more errors occurred. For a list of appps that could not be installed, click on the triangle below."
Then I get a list of apps.
(Added note to any iTunes developers out there: The titles of the apps in this list do not always match the titles of the apps in the App Store. For example, one was called "MuseumGame" on my iPad. It's called "Museum of Thieves" on the App Store. I started out with a list of 60 apps. It was a major pain to track them all down. It would be nice to have everything the same so I can use the App Store search more effectively.)
    Anyway, moving on....
The error message stops my sync until I dismiss it. That, honestly, is what makes this whole thing annoying enough to seek out an answer. I can't let my iPad start syncing and walk out of the room. Yeah. I know. First World problems.
Once I dismiss the error, the sync continues and all is well.
I did the following to try to fix the problem. Mostly, I did a lot of searches:
My list of purchased apps on my iPad both using the search box and by going to every page
Searched the main App Store on my iPad using the search field. When that didn't work, I used wider searches and just scanned the page(s) for the little cloud icon that showed I had purchased the app.
I got on my desktop iTunes and searched the apps from there (without a lot of hope, but trying to be complete)
At that point, I came to the conclusion that a small number of the apps are no longer available on the App Store.
Fine. I didn't want them anyway.
I got into iTunes and went to the Apps page. None of the errant apps showed up there. I searched the iTunes help files. Nothing. I crossed my fingers, said a little prayer to the search engine gods, and tried Google. I found some things that sort of matched but they basically boiled down to "re-download the app from the App Store" or "Restore your iPad".
So I spent a couple of hours restoring my iPad. I got the error message again. I hit Google again and came up with this thread. It was as close to my problem as I found.
I think that brings us up to date.
My fundamental problem is that I seem to have found a scenario where if you have to restore apps (because, perhaps, your external drive died) and some of the apps are no longer available for download, there is an error generated that can not be permanently dismissed.
    Did I miss anything important?

    Hi...
How to re download apps from the Mac App Store:
Open the App Store. From the menu bar click Store > Sign In
Click Purchases from the top of the App Store window.
Select which apps you want to re download. Then right or control click where you see Installed  then click Install.
Make sure and use the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.

    5. This loading circle will spin forever and nothing happens. Ive tried restarting computer, uninstalling and reinstalling the installer, and updating my comps software.

  • Apps not installing or updating

When I am away from my computer and want to upgrade an app, I go to the App Store and do the regular thing. I enter my password and the app starts installing but in the middle of it, it stops and there is no more installation bar. It just sits there doing nothing. What is going on with that? This happens to all the apps. Also, in iTunes, when I want to upgrade and app and sync it with the iPhone it comes up with Error 0xE800002E. The iPhone firmware i have is 2.1.1 and the iTunes version is 8.1.0.52 Any help from anyone would be much appreciated!

I tried to deauthorize and reauthorize my iTunes. I then tried to sync my iPhone. It sync everything else (calendars, contacts, etc.) but not the apps. It came up with the Error 0xE800002E. Again, I am running iPhone firmware 2.2.1 with Windows Vista. Any help would be appreciated because this is getting annoying.

  • Apps not installing due to not Authorized

    Hi All,
I've had an Ipod touch for 1 month. Already onto my second due to the white screen of doom.
Got new one back and updated to 2.0 from 1.5. Tried to sync 1 app and get this error.
"The application <app name> was not installed on the iPod "Ipod Name" because you are not authorized for it on this computer"
Now this is the only computer its seen - this is the same computer I got the apps and the same computer I spent £5.99 paying for the update with. So far apple kit is super flaky and the helpful 5 R's is just stupid. Now starting to look at the receipt to spend it back.

I have seen the same message in iTunes for some purchased music and all I had to do was authorize my computer and message went away.
Once because I had changed my login due to a new email address I changed it on the apple site but forgot to change it in iTunes.
Another time iTunes just forgot that I was Authorized to do such things and I needed to remind it.

  • IPhone 5 Apps not installing

Received an iPhone 5 on Friday. I performed an iCloud restore from a recent backup. All apps that were part of the backup installed properly (eventually), however any new apps, as well as updates to existing apps, do not install. They all hang on "waiting".
Deleting the hung app and rebooting the phone does not solve the issue.
I also noticed that under iCloud, the phone was still sitting at "restoring" after 3 days. Cancelling the restore did not solve the issue either.
    Thoughts?

Try doing this----It MIGHT just solve your problem, as it did mine.
I had apps which were purchased on my iPhone 5. I uninstalled several apps to free up some space a few days back. Suddenly, a few hours ago it wasn't letting me install some old purchased apps. It infact categorised many of these apps under the 'Not on this device' tab under Purchases. Then I realised as I had got a new debit card and cancelled the old one, the payment info was still linked to my cancelled debit card. So as a security measure I was not able to download the apps which now according to the payment terms 'belonged to someone else'. So I just went into the app store in my settings----->apple id------>payment info----->modified this.
Restarted the iPhone and voila, it linked back perfectly to my iCloud backup of purchases!!!
    Hope this helps.

  • Ios 6.1.3 apps not installing

Chose to update installed apps but my phone is not doing anything.
It says 'INSTALLING' but appears to be frozen.
    My apple ID is correct
    Can anyone please help ?
    Many thanks

It is likely that the aps yo download to iTunes one you computer are not compatible with iOS 6 since many now require iOS 7.
    However
Starting when iOS 7 was released, Apple now allows downloading the last compatible version of some apps (iOS 4.2.1 and later only)
App Store: Downloading Older Versions of Apps on iOS - Apple Club
App Store: Install the latest compatible version of an app
You first have to download the non-compatible version on your computer. Then when you try to purchase the version on your iPod you will be offered a compatible version if one exists.
