Apps not working after crash (with iPhone 2.0)

I'm using a 1st generation iPhone with the iPhone 2.0 update. Today, my phone became unresponsive after trying to start the Brain Challenge app (updated to the latest version), even holding down the home key to force quit the app did nothing. I had to do a hard reset (holding down the home key and the sleep button), and after a longer than usual time to reboot, several of my apps no longer work.
I get a message saying "The application "xxx" cannot be opened" when trying to start the Facebook app, Apple's Texas Holdem, Brain Challenge, Bloomberg, Tap Tap Revenge etc. etc. (although some, such as Apple's Remote, do work).
I'm guessing I need to recover it from backups, but how can I do it such that I don't lose those apps I have paid for that I have bought since the last time I backed up?

I had the same issue until I updated my apps through iTunes. I had over 100 updates, but none of them showed on my iPod. After they updated everything started syncing like it is supposed. Go to the apps library and check for updates. After everything syncs leave your iPhone/ipod/ipad connected if the spinning arrows at the top is still spinning. It means that things are still being added. If you go to settings > general > about, you will see it loading songs, videos, photos, etc. If you back out of "about" and then go back to it you will see the numbers for each one change.

Had the same problem as you. App would terminate when launched.
Solution to working You Tube app:
-Go to playstore
- Uninstall app (it doesn't remove the app, only removes the update)
- "Et Voila", working again.
This doesn't correct the problem, it's just a workaround for you to be able to use youtube app again.

I have a lot of apps not working after upgrade even apple's remote, splash id etc... Anyone else or is it just me?

I had trouble with MPR, but since it's free, I just deleted it and reloaded it directly from the App store onto the phone. It had an upgrade, too, that must have clashed with the 2.2 upgrade. Once I did the download, it was fine.

When I go to download KINDLE not available in Cyprus App store... Asks me to switch to USA I say yes... And then gives me a dead link.

Camera App not working after update to iOS 7.1.1 on iPhone4

Hi Guys,
I have recently downloaded iOS7.1.1 ipsw from the apple website for the correct version of my iphone4 [GSM] and updated my phone.
The camera app is now not responsing at all and i dont even see a picture in the camera app. I tried the update again and found that the problem is still evident.
Please let me know if we share the same problem and also any solution if you come across.

Everything's OK when I using rear cam, but just freeze and blurred on screen while switched to the front cam. And have to resetting to go back to rear cam. My iPhone4's camera itself, rear and front, are in good performance before. And I've tried anything such as reset, hard reset, restoring, setting up as new device, etc, without any result since then. If some people say it was about hardware issued, I thing so weird because too many same hardware problems coincident happened at the same moment. So I just only hope the Apple will listening and solving all problems wisely. Thanks b4.

Ipad camera app not working after update 7.1.1 and using skype on video call

i updated my mini ipad to ios 7.1.1
then i used skype for video call...
It worked fine for a few minutes then the front camera stopped working
Stopping skype and starting the camera app, i saw that the front camera was no more working...black screen
instead rear camera was working...
Then i tried to reset the device (pressing sleep and home button) and uninstalled skype
Now front camera works more or less, but the camera app seems always almost freezed, i cant change easily the options,
i cant record a video, only camera for snapshots is working...
any suggestion?
is it possible to uninstall the camera app and try to reinstall it?

Apps not working over 3G for iphone 5 (iOS 7)

I have i5 & recently updated to iOS7. Very frequently, my apps don't work over the 3G network, however, they do so over Wi-fi. Fb, emails, whatsapp and many more apps dont work over 3G. Safari works. Have tried resetting network settings and hard reset, but no solution. The trend for apps not working is very random, sometimes they do work, sometimes they don't. Its very irritating. Anybody with a solution.

when you scroll down
you can choose which apps can use cellular data
may be you can recycle the switch for the suspect apps

My Verizon app not working after iOS 7 update

I have an iphone 4s. After I upgraded to ios 7, the my verizon app stopped working. Today, the app got an update in the app store to version 3.6.0. I installed the update, but it still does not work. When I run it, it spins the circle dots for a while and comes back with "Error: A communication error has occured [sic]. Please ensure Internet connection and try again." And it has a "Reload App" button, which I press, and it does the same thing. This happens whether I'm on wifi or 3g. Several times I've tried rebooting the phone, deleting and reinstalling the my verizon app, but it still doesn't work. Does anyone else have this problem? How did you solve it? Thanks.

I did the network reset, but that didn't help. FYI if you're thinking of resetting network settings, the only negative side-effect is that the phone forgets all of its wifi networks.
I did a restore from backup via iTunes, and that didn't help either.
I've had a couple other issues with iOS 7, and what I did was reset the firmware via iTunes but I didn't restore from backup. Now My Verizon works. The reason I did this drastic step was because my Safari was messed up in iOS 7 in another way, and restoring from backup didn't help that either, but I had a hunch that getting Safari fixed would fix My Verizon. (I can't know for sure if I was right about that.)
Here's the thing: Apps like My Verizon that really just load web pages use Safari's settings for the web. So I would try this if I were still stuck with My Verizon not working: Go into Safari settings, and clear cookies and history and cache data, and make sure the "Block Cookies" setting is set to either "Never" or "From third parties and advertisers." Then reboot your phone for good measure, and try My Verizon again.

Apps not working after reset

I had to reset my iphone and after resetting it, holding down the power and home keys until the apple showed up none of my apps will work. The app screen will come up for a second or two and then it switches back to my home screen. Any remedies for this?

If only 3 apps, try deleting and re-installing the apps first.

Your iPhone's backup is updated if needed as the first step during the sync process.
Before restoring an iPhone with iTunes, it is a good idea to import the photos in your iPhone's Camera Roll - as with any other digital camera. Not a good idea to depend on your iPhone's backup alone for these photos, and contact info is designed to be synced with a supported application on your computer - so also not a good idea to depend on your iPhone's backup alone for contact info.
After an iPhone is restored from the backup or as a new iPhone or not from the backup, this must be followed by a sync.
Before restoring an iPhone, sync your iPhone immediately before doing so to update your iPhone's backup if needed.

Viber app not working after updating software

Viber app is not working on my iPhone 4 after I updated the software on my phone. I deleted the app and reinstall the same app and the problem was there as before. Viber is not recognizing my phone number. When I enter my phone number, a message pops up saying invalid number. Can I get some assistance to rectify this problem ASAP.

Could be a problem with the App and that it may not support IOS 7.1.1 yet and need updating.

Macbook Pro Password not working after crash!

I have a 2012 Macbook Pro and I installed Mavericks late last year. Last night Mavericks crashed while I was working on Excel. I restarted the system but now the password would not let me log in.
After some searching on google, I tried the resetart with CMD+R and Utility option to reset the password, using Terminal for the User (only 1 user on the system), but its still not working. Then I changed the system administrator (root) password change as well, to no avail. I have reset the password 3 times and have tried blank as an attempt and as a password.
Nothing seems to be helping. Please help!!!

3rd Party Apps not working after 3.1 update

As the topic says, none of my third party apps are working at the moment. I tried doing a full restore and backup and that doesn't seem to do anything. I've also noticed that most of my music is not syncing, even though podcasts and movies are. I'm really trying to restore everything to the way it was because I have some valuable data on my third party apps that I really can't afford to lose.
Any ideas?

iPhone 3gs 32MB and MacBook Pro w/ iTunes 9.0: Updated iPhone to 3.1 software today and all apps fail at launch except the native ones. Thinking it was an authorization problem, I tried to purchase an app on the phone. It downloads but also won't launch. I then bought it through iTunes 9.0 and synced, but that fails as well. Did a full restore, and one hour of sync time later no change.
If this is happening to me it must be pretty common. I'm using all standard equipment that is under a year old. No jailbreak or other funky stuff. Anyone else with this problem please post. Not sure what else to do. Genius bar appts are booked up today, so booking for tomorrow night.

Peep App-Not working after update

I just installed the most recent update to the droid incredible. After the download, the peep app is not working. After entering my user name and password, it says invalid. I have seen on other messages boards this is a common problem with the peep app after installing this update.
I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem and found away to get peep to work.
