Apps on Blackberry App World

I am a long time user of blackberrys, but one flaw that seems to me as very important is the lack of variety of apps on the Blackberry AppWorld. Useful Apps are available on the iTunes Appstore and even the Android store but are not available on the Blackberry Appworld. One example of vast numbers is the XXL Magazine app. I am sure a lot of Blackberry users agree with me as this has even tempted me to make the switch to an iPhone! However I really hope Research in Motion look into this and I would like to see this improved.

Please try this steps :
Open App World – Go to MY World
Clear App World Cache KB24714
App World shall Close
Then Please Perform a Battery Pull Restart like this While Device is Powered On remove the Battery wait for a min. then re-insert it back wait till the device take a long Reboot.
After that Go to App World and reinstall that application.

Requested Apps for Blackberry App World

Heyy so the only downside i have found with my Z10 is that it doesnt have all the popular apps from android and Apple. I would love it if there was anyway to get some more apps on blackberry app world. Personally i would love Despicible Me: Minion Rush such a great game wish i had a phone that could play it.

But for a very few apps, BlackBerry doesn't actually "pull" apps from the developer community. Rather, the developers must decide the specific BB model numbers / OS level combinations that they will support, and write their app to those that they choose. There are many combinations of that, so most developers don't choose to support all of them.
With BB10, it's even more complicated because it's not a simply evolution from the legacy BBOS. So, app developers must completely start over and re-write their app from scratch to support BB10 devices and OS levels.
In any event, the best place to put pressure for apps you desire is with the actual developer of the apps...for it is they who must make their choice if they will support your platform, and then "push" their app out for it.

Error while downloading app from Blackberry app world.

Hi,
I have BB curve 9380 OS 7.0
I always got an error while downloading app from appworld
1. Through my PC, BB 9380 connected through USB. The error is
Your device is being accessed by another application on your computer. Please close all other browser windows and try again I have tried a lot no progress.
another error sometimes I used to get is Content protection enable disable it.
2. Through my 9380, wifi configured, while accessing through smartphone web browser, after Login to appworld it prompts an error. Cookies disabled in your browser. Please enable it to continue.
But in browser options -> Accept Cookies -> check box is checked up.
Request you guys please help me to get rid from this embarrassing errors. Since 8 months when I have brought this curve 9380 I haven't got an opportunity to install a single apps.

Have you tried installing BlackBerry App World via your BlackBerry Browser? You should be prompted to install it when accessing www.blackberry.com/appworld from your BlackBerry Brower.

Not having Torrent client apps in blackberry App World

Re-buying apps in BlackBerry App World

I don't understand BlackBerry App World.
If I buy an app, and re-download it weeks\months later, surely I don't have to pay again, right?
I've re-downloaded 'Six Tools' a few times now, after reloading my device, or switching to a difference BlackBerry, BUT, always using the SAME email account for BlackBerry App World, yet each time it wants me to pay again. After paying $2.99 three times over, something has got to give.

Hello naviwilliams,
This is not normal rule for App World.
When you use the same BlackBerry ID and purchase an application you shouldn't be prompted to purchase the same application each time. KB17625 will elaborate on the transfer or reinstallation of apps.
I would recommend you contact the vendor of this application (KB27706 to locate vendor support) to investigate this issue further.

That error often presents when attempting to, while USB tethered to a PC, use the PC/browser web interface to AppWorld. I recommend you untether and instead use the on-device AW interface.

Moving apps from Blackberry app world to Home Page

I just got a new blackberry tour and I'm having a heck of a time moving new apps that I downloaded to my homepage. I downloaded three apps and was able to move them to the homepage with no problem by clicking the blackberry button and selecting "move to home". That is very clear and I understand the concept.
But for some reason I can't move any other apps. I can't move my facebook app because there is no option to "move to homepage" or "move". Pandora and all of these apps are located in My world in the Black Berry app world.
Can anyone help me? maybe I'm missing something simple

You should be able to move the apps using move to folder then choosing the desired folder where you w\ant to move the.
Try the following -
Have a battery pull device reset
check by changing theme
tanzim

Internal Server Error when purchasing an app in Blackberry App World

I have a Torch 9810. I have been trying to purchase the Baamboo Premium player. If I do it in the app world on my desktop, I get:
Internal Server Error
An internal server error has been detected. Please try your operation again. (EC )
If I try from the app world on my phone, it keeps saying "Please wait" upon selecting purchase until I reboot - waited over 2 hours one day.
So, it won't let me complete the purchase via my phone or desktop. How can we fix this?

I think we have made some headway. Apparently, purchases billed to AT&T (my provider) go through Bango, which I did not accept the terms on my phone previously. When trying the purchase, it never prompted until the uninstall/reinstall of app world. Now that I told it I agreed with the terms, I found that it won't go through because I blocked a similar purchase type through my provider (for Facebook credits - apparently through Bango as well).
So, once I tell it to bill through PayPal, it should work.
My concern is that even when connecting my phone to my desktop and trying to purchase online, I would just get a cryptic "internal server error".
Thanks for your help! This should solve it now - have to wait until payday.

How to submit app to Blackberry App World?

Hi I just finished developing an Android app and I was going to send it in to Blackberry. (For this reason: http://us.blackberry.com/developers/tablet/playbook_offer2012.jsp) I logged into their vendor portal website (as it says in step 3 of the link), clicked manage products, and added a new product and provided all of the necessary information. However, I noticed that they never asked me for my actual program (the .bar file). Furthermore, when I finished the status of my product says draft.
Am I doing this right? Can somebody confirm? Will Blackberry accept my application and then ask me for my app later?

Apple sent an email:
"Invalid Signature - Make sure you have signed your application with a distribution certificate, not an ad hoc certificate or a development certificate. Verify that the code signing settings in Xcode are correct at the target level (which override any values at the project level). Additionally, make sure the bundle you are uploading was built using a Release target in Xcode, not a Simulator target. If you are certain your code signing settings are correct, choose "Clean All" in Xcode, delete the "build" directory in the Finder, and rebuild your release target."
I'm sure I used the Distribution certs.
Since I'm using Flash and not Xcode, what are the possible problems?

Apps, including blackberry app GONE! Please Help!

I downloaded an update for my playbook, when i rebooted...all apps were gone. Even my blackberry world app. How do i get them back? I cant find a download link to get the blackberry world app. I tried going to my blackberry account and reinstalling my apps, but they still don't appear on my homescreen.
What's wrong? How do I fix it?
I'm not a tech junkie...just a layperson, so please...I need someone to hold my hand and help me fix this...

No downloading in blackberry app world

Whenever I try to download any app from blackberry app world or go to my world, "Please wait" sign appears for 2 or 3 seconds and nothing happens(No operation is performed).Everything else is working fine.I have tried clearing cache from app world by pressing alt with r,s,t in sequence.After that app closes but the problem persists.Any help would be appreciated

SPAM from Blackberry App maker

Greetings all,
Hoping someone can help stop spam - via email - coming to my phone after purchasing an app from Blackberry App World. The company, getempower.com now sends solicitations for other apps using [email protected] and you can't make them stop.
Tried their unsubscribe link, naturally there's "an error try back later."
Tried an email filter, but the email doesn't come to my email box only to the phone.
Have deleted the app.
Doscovered the company sends these from within the app itself. But app is no longer on the device. Slick but sad...
Any thoughts on how to stop this scurge? Thanks!

Same here. Bought 2 apps-thought it was strange that my email was needed to install. Should have known better. Getting buried in spam since. Blackberry should protect users from this, especially with purchased apps.
