Apps on i-pod touch

i cant download apps on my kids i-pod.
I can get into the store/browse ok but when i select the app i want to download nothing happens when i press the price/install button
can anyone help pls?

You can find this info in the manual. You cannot delete apps that came with the ipod
1) Uncheck the app under the apps tab in itunes then sync.
2) Delete the app from itunes then sync
3) hold an icon until they all wiggle and hen hit the "x' in the corner

It is likely on another pafe, in a folder, or you have restirctions set. Check all of these.
If you do not find it,then reset the home screen layout.

Download it to your library the way you download it to hers, or search your computer for items with the ipa extension and drag it into the open iTunes window.

Delete your account in 1. "Settings > iCloud" + 2. "Settings > Messages > Send & Receive" + 3. "Settings > FaceTime", but still let them using your account for iTunes and app purchases in "Settings > iTunes & App Stores". Of course, please make sure that they do not know your password to set up your account for iCloud again or purchase anything alone.

Many app are not compatible with iOS 3.1.3. I suspect that you have an the first generation (original) iPod touch. That can only go as hgih as 3.1.3

Apple Club - filter apps by iOS version.
If you purchased a paid app that is not compatible try getting a refund

How can I eliminate an I-Pod Touch app? I want to eliminate a few but don't want to "restore" and lose all of them. Is there any way to trash apps one at a time?

Go into itunes and delete the app then sync.
Or if you just want it off of the iphone and not out of itunes, then uncheck the app in the applications tab in itunes.
Or hold down an icon until they all "wiggle" then hit the 'x" in the corner. The app will come back when you sync unless you delete it from itunes or deselect it under applications tab.

What IOS are you running on your iPod? Are you sure the apps will run on your IOS?

I have an I Pad 2 and have bought all of my Apps directly on this. How can I get these onto my I Pod Touch - can I just go to the Apps store and download them directly to the touch. Or do I have to sync it with my computer.

You sync them to the same computer and same Apple ID that you use for your iPad. Just be aware, while most/all iTouch apps will work on the iPad (just smaller on the screen) there are many iPad apps that are iPad only and will not work on the Touch or iPhone. If an app is universal it has a + by the price/download button. If there's no + then it is likely optimized for only one device/kind of device and will not transfer over. Most if not all HD apps are iPad only and meant for the iPad's larger screen. If you have any iPad only apps you will have to repurchase for your Touch.
I was the other way around, I had my touch first, iPad second and had to repurchase some iPad versions of some of my apps.

You can't install any application which requires iOS 4.3 or newer on a first or second generation iPod touch. If you still have a copy of that application compatible with iOS 3.1.3 or 4.2.1, import it into the iTunes library and sync it.
