Apps Randomly Close

Hello, i currently own a white iphone 4 with the most current software that there is.  I have had it since the beginning of august.  This last weekend my Facebook app and a couple of other apps would randomly close and go back to the home screen.  They did this a couple times overa  three hour time span.  They have not done it since then.  I tried a hard reset and they still continued to do this.  Should i re download the apps, restore the phone and reload everything back onto it? Any suggestions/ ideas on what may be happening?

Okay thank you very much, I will try doing that. I hope that it works.

  • Progs + Apps randomly close/crash - why?

    Hello!
I have a reccurring problem with my eMac. Programs such as Photoshop CS2 and more recently Itunes & IPhoto close without warning. The vanishing app is then replaced with a 'this program has unexpectadly closed, submit error report?' window.
I wondered at first if this problem was due to insufficent RAM? I have tried everything i know how to restore and remedy this problem...anyone have any ideas?
[The eMac in question recently was repaired under the Apple Recall Program for machines with leaking capacitors and had its logic board seen to - could this crashing of software be a related complication?]

    Try a Reset...
Press the sleep/wake button & home button at the same time, keep pressing until you see the Apple logo, then release the buttons...

  • HT4993 Since i downloaded the 7 my phone turns off randomly, the screen freezes and it closes apps randomly

Since downloading the ios7 my phone will freeze or just randomly turn off or an app i'm working in will randomly close. Anyone else having these problems?

I would restore your device. Preferably with Itunes through a computer if you can. If not then settings>General>Reset>erase all content and settings. Save a backup if you need to through Icloud. That should clear up any software related issues.

  • Random app force close problems and other issues on Droid

Has anyone seen droid apps randomly force close a lot lately? I bought the Droid and have been having constant problems after the initial update. 2.2 brought no comfort. Facebook video never worked, screen has been jumpy, lots of random app resets and force close problems showing up lately, and the 3G speeds which was about the only good thing about Verizon has become very slow lately. This thing is starting to make windows mobile 6x look good.
This Droid device has seriously grown long in the tooth now. After nearly 10 yrs on verizon network, I'm seriously thinking of going back to AT&T for the iPhone or the new Windows 7 Phone. Anyone else feel that way about your Droid?

Don't get me started with the Facebook app. Lets leave it at FAIL. But, yes. I've noticed it with maps, espescially if your in a moving vehicle when you open the app. Something about the gps and being in motion at the time. But, I've had it freeze from opening the camera to a few 3rd party apps. Very frustrating to the point that I'll take a regular phone AND a regular laptop, thank you. (<--not interested in renewing)

    Hello Mayar23,
Thank you for providing the details of the issue you are experiencing with apps quitting unexpectedly.
The first thing I recommend is quitting and relaunching all the applications on your iPad:
    Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
You can find the full article here:
iOS: Force an app to close
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5137
If you are still seeing the same issue after quitting all the apps, I recommend restarting your iPad and then resetting if it's still not working:
    Restarting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Note: Reset your device only if you are unable to restart it.
    Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
You can find the full article here:
iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
If the issue persists, the last thing I recommend is backing up and restoring your iPad:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes

  • 2nd Generation iPod Touch Closing out of apps randomly

Sometimes my 2nd generation iPod Touch will close out of apps randomly. I'll be using an app and it will randomly close. How can I fix this, because I've already reset it to factory settings and not saving the memory while restoring it?

When restoring to factory settings/new iPod fails to resolve a problem that indicates a hardware problem. An appointment at the genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • My ipad2 keeps launching apps randomly

Why does my ipad2 keep launching many apps randomly at the same time.
Forced to switch off and reboot.

Try closing all apps completely and then do a reset and see if that helps : from the home screen (i.e. not with any app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of each app to close them, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
To reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Something that called my attention is part of the log that shows a big CPU processing, but the strange thing is I killed all applications.

Game center game apps immediately close upon launch.

Try a hard reset.  To do this, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
If you are still having issues, try removing and redownloading each of the Apps you are having issues with.

  • Often, Firefox app will close, but the underlying Windows process will not and cannot be stopped via Task Manager. When this happens, Firefox can no longer be used...the system must be rebooted.

    Hello,
Often, the Firefox app will close, but the underlying Windows process will not and cannot be stopped via Task Manager. When this happens, Firefox can no longer be used...the system must be rebooted. This happens especially when many apps are running but even though there are plenty of memory resources available.
I have tried to find if something is using Firefox in the background, but have no way to know what that would be.
Their are no apparent viruses detected.
Firefox is version v5.0 and occurred in earlier release.
    System is Windows 7 (64bit).

well, it's not the same hardware and it's a bit different.
I managed to pass that stage somehow but I still have a problem
I don't use the built-in creator tool that comes with Spyrus as it doesn't know how to append a pre-staged media that was created by SCCM that should apply the Windows file system to a second partition and the WinPE to the first partition.
I managed to do everything. my only problem is that the WTGCreator that comes with SCCM 2012 R2 creates the 350MB partition with FAT32 file system.
when I boot from the device I get the WinPE, I can choose a task sequence and then it fails when trying to apply the wim file. the error tells me that the 350MB partition is FAT32 which is not supported (even though it chooses the second partition, which
is all the rest of the disk space)
what I did was adding another task that converts the 32 Fat partition to an NTFS partition and then the process continues and finishes successfully! but that's a workaround.
I'm trying to make this process as smooth as possible without having additional steps
