Apps require Apple ID then crash?

Every time I open an app, it asks me for my Apple ID. I type it in, then it just crashes. I can't open almost any of my apps, how can I fix this?
P.S. I made sure all of my Apple ID info was correct in my settings and it still won't work.

Hi Rachel,
If you are having an issue with apps quitting on your iPhone you may want to go through the troubleshooting steps in this article to see if you can get back up and running -
iOS: An app you installed unexpectedly quits, stops responding, or won’t open

In particular you may want to
Restart your device
Turn the device off and on.
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

  • Apps require Apple ID after Apple Configurator installs them

I have supervised iPod Touchs that are configured using Apple Configurator.  Most of the time the apps will start just fine.  Sometimes, with some of them, the apps will require that the configurator Apple ID be entered whenever any of the apps are started.  It happens randomly to different iPods.  If I enter the Apple ID manually.
Anyone have any idea what could be causing this?  If I enter the Apple ID to fix it, can any of the iPod users then charge apps to my account?  Am I doing something wrong with Configurator somewhere?

Try posting in the iPad for the Enterprise forum.  They use the the configuration utility more for those or iPhones than iPods

  • IPad mail app displays blank screen, then crashes

When I go to my aPad mail app, there is just a blank screen, After a few seconds, the app crashes. I can't delete the app because it appears to be "built in". my mail works fine on MacBook Pro and Nook.

    Hi A436,
Thank you for contributing to the Apple Support Communities.
If you only see a blank screen in Mail, and then the app quits, try removing and re-adding your mail accounts from Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
You can use these steps from Get help with Mail on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch:
Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
    Tap the affected email account.
    Tap Delete Account.
    Add your account again.
If the Mail app still quits unexpectedly after this step, you may need to back up your iPad and restore the iOS software:

  • I have iCloud on. Lately my native Contacts app appears blank and then crashes. Any suggestions?

For a couple of weeks now, when I try to open my native contacts app on my iPad2, the only thing that appears is a blank screen and then afetr a few seconds the native Contacts app crashes. I have iCloud on. I am on iOS 5.0.1 and I have already tried doing some resets. The problem continues.
More recently, when I open the native Calendar app, I get the syncing symbol twirling; however, my appointments are not being synced to my Ipad. They are being synced to my iPhone 4s

I have tried that also, but its still doing the same thing

  • Mail (and all apps using apple.AddressBook.framework) crashing on open

I was able to fix Safari by not selecting any Address Book lookup items in Safari-Preferences. Address Book, Mail, Omniweb all crash on open. They all point to the same problem - srr0 is telling me that the apple.AddressBook.framework is the culprit (address matches) but lr is not showing the same address, thus is referencing an invalid pointer as per Apple's support doc on CrashReporter (and how to analyze it with GDB but I don't have Xcode loaded). But the fix eludes me....

  • Hello apple guys, i can't open app store, reminders, contacts, mail(crash), maps, Image Capture, and other apps that comes with Mavericks OS, how i can solve this problem?

hello apple guys, after installing OS X Mavericks, i can't open app store, reminders, contacts, mail(crash), maps, Image Capture, and other apps that comes with Mavericks OS, how i can solve this problem?

So is this the way Apple works now? Not solving customers problems? I'm sure so many users have had this problem. I've had, and I reinstalled Mavericks 3 times. Works fine for some days and then several Apple Apps stop working. Is that a way to force us ti update to Yosemite? (I don't want to) and then pay to update some third party programs (i.e. Pro Tools). Also, there are so many 15" MacBooks Pro with graphic problems and of course the guys at the Apple Service Centers always say: "It's the logic board, you can have it replaced, but it's so expensive I would recommend a new Mac".  I really, really miss Steve Jobs!

I am not able to access the "Settings" on my iPad 3. I just get a gray screen for about 30 seconds and then the app shuts down. I am also unable to access the App store, iTunes, or any app requiring an internet connection. Any thoughts?

First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."

  • The video app on my iPad now only shows a black screen. Used to work fine then crashed in the middle of a short video.

The video app on my iPad now only shows a black screen. Used to work fine then crashed in the middle of a short video.  When I open the app the screen is just blank. As it is a default app I can't delete and reinstall. Anybody else experience this?

Try searching for the name of one of your videos on the iPad's spotlight search screen - swipe your first homescreen to the right, type in it's name, and if it finds it tap on it to see if it plays.
If that doesn't work then try closing the Videos app via the taskbar : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Videos app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Videos app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option if the two above don't work is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • IPod Touch videos won't show then crash and apps respond slow

Here's the deal, I bought his iPod a couple months ago, 3rd generation 64GB and I could put videos on it fine and they would come up and I could play them, now since I updated it with 4.2 or 4.1 software from iTunes everything's running slower. My iPod takes longer to respond when I open an app or it just crashes and brings me back home. My video (standard) app won't even show any of my videos, it's just a white screen and then crashes. What happened and how do I fix it?

I'm also having the same problem with the Videos app - interestingly enough, also with a 64GB 3rd Gen. Touch running 4.2.1 (build 8C148). Try to open Video app, it goes to white screen for a bit, then quits.
Checked out another thread (http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=12678404&#12678404) and experienced the same behaviors as well: temporarily works if you change languages; restoring as a new iPod does NOT fix issue; music videos seem to play fine (though it seems to repeat a video, rather than move on to the next); and all that.
The more I read about it, the more this seems to be a glitch in iOS. Moreover, it seems to be related to music videos somehow. Seems that the Music Videos and regular moves aren't playing nice.
While music videos do play in the Music app, that's not particularly convenient for me. Going off one of the posts in the above-mentioned thread, I'm going to tray a temporary fix of relabeling my "Music Videos" to "Movies". Seemed things went wrong when Music Videos entered the picture. While a work-around, for me it's a little more usable than the inverse.
Will report back whether or not this temporary fix works until Apple can release an update addressing this problem.

Please help me out as this is very irritating. This has been happening for the last 20-30 minutes. It had roughly half battery left.

    Hi AdRock3,
If you are having issues with your iPhone's Remote application quitting unexpected.y, you may want to try some things to troubleshoot.
First, quit all running applications and test again -
Force an app to close in iOS
Next, I would try restarting and if needed resetting the iPhone -
Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If the issue is still present, you may want to restore the iPhone as a new device -
