Apps Starting by Themselves at Start Up

Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Word all start up and open by themselves when I start my MacBook Pro. No other apps do this. I have not changed any settings to make them do this, and I do not see any way to prevent them from doing this. Each of these apps started doing this as soon as I installed them, and I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. None of the other adobe programs I installed at the same time have this problem.
So far I have tried:
Going to System Preferences » Users & Groups and then selecting my user account and 'Login Items', but none of these apps are shown there.
I looked in these folders as well, but saw nothing Adobe, Photoshop, InDesign, Microsoft or Word in any of them.

The automatic launching of programs is some new idiotic Apple idea, use Lion Tweaks to undo it.
Also hitting the red close button is not like it is on Windows, it won't close the program in most cases, only by using "quit from the File menu does that.
So since the program is still in memory and will automatically start upon a reboot, it appears to open by itself.

Apple music app starts automatically in car since ios 8 update on iPhone 5

Since updating to iOS 8 on an iPhone 5 (thru iTunes on laptop), apple music app starts on its' own in the car using bluetooth.
It would start playing music after I started the igniton-though I never use that app or leave music of any sort running in my car when I turn car off.
Other times, it starts music if I use Google Maps or apples' iMessage . Quite annoying.

II'm sorry, I thought I'd updated to 8.02 but I checked and I only have 8.0. I'm afraid to update to 8.02 as I've been reading both good and bad about it, like it may fix my app problem but screw up my Wi-fi. I don't know what to do. I'm between a rock and a hard place.

After Upgrading to 10.6.8 my aperture app starts but hangs trying to read the Lib. I removed the old lib and start with new. but still have the problem. 10.6.8 also made my Shark FX7 do the same thing. Any Ideas? Thanks

iPhone do not do automatic update. You have to manually trigger the updates.
If your Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Automatic Downloads > Music, Apps, Books are ON then when you purchase any new content/item with any devices/computer iTunes, it will automatically download. Switch it OFF if you do not want that to happen.

First steps in troubleshooting:
Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
Then reset: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go. (No data loss)

The normal suggestions.
Close the app,off fully. Double tap the home screen then touch and hold any of the icons on the task bar until they jiggle, then close them all off by touching the - sign.
Then reboot the pad and try the spp again. If same issue, delete the app, then reload it. ( no charge). You may just have a bad copy. If continues, write to the developer, they may need to do an update. I have an older version of the same app and it works fine.
Since yours is the ad supported version, they are maing real sure you see the ad. Is it as simple as you need to click thru the ad to get to the game?

Apps starting at login always start offline?

I have a couple of apps that are starting at login. Although every time I start my Mac, the apps start, they always display a notification that there is no internet connectivity.
Is there any way to make the apps start only when there is internet connectivity? Otherwise, I'll need to close a bunch of popups before I can start using my apps.

You could try a workaround…
Open Automator.
Create a new 'Application'
Search for the 'Pause' action in the library of actions, and drag it to the workflow area on the right.
Set the value to 20 seconds or so
Search again for the 'Launch Application' action.
Select the desired app & repeat for every one you want open.
Save this Application (maybe in your home folder/Applications).
It should look like…
Open System Preferences > Users & groups, select your account, edit the login items & delete the old applications. Add the new Application and see if it works.
You will need to disable the option to 'Reopen windows on next login' when you logout (or quit these apps before logout).

Without touching the screen, only 2 of my apps started shaking randomly. Not the kind of shaking when you want to delete/move. It was odd. Any idea as to what that could be?

An "other" that large usually indicates that the "other" includes corrupted files. Usually restoring from backup eliminated the corrupted files. However, sometimes restoring to factory settings/new iPod is required.

When you're listening to a podcast, slide the current artwork up from the bottom, and you will reveal the control panel. Adjust the little switch in the middle so that it is pointing North, instead of Northwest. That will fix your problem.

The iPad 1 can only be updated to iOS 5.1.1. This is unlikely to change.
The apps you have will continue to work and there are still many apps which run on iOS 5 (or even earlier iOS levels).

Any fix for the Apple podcast app starting to play after a missed phone call?

I have the apple podcast app and every time i receive a missed call, after the call the audio from the app starts playing. I have an iphone 4 with ios 6.

I tried turning off extensions as you suggested, Bee, but the problem persists. As you can see Chrome is working. Turning on auto proxy discovery in preferences made no difference.
The message I get when trying to open a web page is:
Safari can't open the page "http:www.apple.com/support/". The error is: "The operation couldn't be completed. Operation not permitted" (NSPOSIXErrorDomain:1)
Any chance you can decipher this and tell me what it means other than the web page can't open which I kind of figured out.

Mail app starts ok, then quits systematically

The mail app starts ok, connects and retrieves emails. Then the application closes. I tried a reset and a complete new installation, but that did not help. All ather apps are ok. What should I do? Any help is appreciated!

Go online on your PC/Mac anmd use the wemail facaility from your email provider to have a look in the inbox/outbox/send folders for any anomalous emails such as returned emails, large out going emails etc.
If there is a problem email stuck in there, Mail will keep crashing until it is removed.
