Apps still say waiting since iOS update ?

My Instagram and 3 other apps are just saying waiting ... And I've tried to delete , restart and reset phone but they are still saying the same thing ..

If it's happening on all the apps that you've downloaded from the App Store, but not the Apple built-in ones, then try downloading any free app from the store (as that appears to reset something) and then re-try them - the free app can then be deleted.
If it's happening on all apps then try closing them all completely and then see if they work when you re-open them : from the home screen (i.e.not with any app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of each app to close them, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • Apps won't open since iOS update-why?

First time I tried to open apps since the update, and the screen just kind of flashes for a second and nothing happens. Has this happened to anyone? I can open all the apps that showed up with the update, but none of the others.

No one here works for Apple. This is a user-to-user technical support forum. Everyone here is a volunteer. You tend to get from this forum what you bring to it. If you come in ranting and raving and saying you're going to throw your iPhone out the window and that Apple is mean, people are not likely to respond to you with sweetness and light and puppies and kittens.
If you really want help, I'd suggest you take a deep breath and then start a new thread in which you explain the problems you're having, the steps you've taken to resolve the problems, any error messages you've gotten. Stick to the facts. Check the attitude and emotion at the door. People will do their best to help you.

For the last 2 1/2 weeks Droid Incredible 2 has been doing the same thing....uninstalled countless apps, then even a factory resest.   Plugged it in last night at 40% power, it was charging.  Woke up this morning and once again completed dead. Apparently, this is happening to a great number of Incredible 2 owners.  Hope Verizon makes it right.

    1. First step to solving the Problem: Trash MacKeeper. It's a pile of trash that does far more harm to your computer than good.

Have you tried a hard reset of your iPod yet?  To do this, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
If that doesn't work, are you still connected to a network?  Either way try connecting to a different one and downloading another FREE app to see if that helps.

  • Downloading from App Store says Waiting but nothing happens - OS X Mavericks

    Hi all,
I am trying to download the OS X Mavericks through App Store but all it says is Waiting. There is no way I can reset the download or start again. Am running OS X 10.8.5 on a MacBook Pro late 2009. Have checked and know that my laptop is fully compatible.
    Troubleshooting:
    - Relaunched App Store application, same issue
    - In the Application folder, I have OS X Mavericks which is a App Store Download file. This is 208KB big. When trying to delete that, it says that this application is in use by another app.
    - Deleted this App Store Download file, emptied Trash
    - Tried again to download Mavericks from App Store. Still says Waiting. I have tried for several days with the laptop connected to internet and still nothing happens.
    Any ideas?

    Latest updates.
I have been talking with Apple Support and they told me that there is a huge queue for people trying to download. So far you have to wait 860 minutes (14,4 hours) before it will start to download.
Issue is that I have been waiting for 5 days.

  • IMessage (on my iPhone) still says "waiting on activation"

I recently restored my phone to its factory settings just so I could have a fresh start. I have IOS5 . The problem is that ever since i restored it my imessage still says waiting for activation and it wont recognize my phone number as the "recieve at" id!!! how do I get it activated and get it ot recognze my phone number!!!i have tried everything please help!!

I have a solution to all of you who faced this problem of waiting for activations for both FaceTime and iMessage.
    Here's how I did mine;
    For "FaceTime"
    1) Launch "Settings" app
    2) Select "FaceTime"
    3) Select "Apple ID: (your ID)"
    4) Select "Change Location" (to where "Country" your phone number is registered)
    5) Select the "Country" you are in
    6) Back to "Settings"
    Do the same for "iMessage"
    1) Launch "Settings" app
    2) Select "Messages"
    3) Select "Receive At"
    4) Select "Apple ID: (your ID)"
    5) Select "Change Location" (to where "Country" your phone number is registered)
    6) Select the "Country" you are in
    7) Exit
After you've done all the settings as aboves; Now hold down the "Home" and "Power" button until you see the "Apple" logo to reboot your iPhone. Let go you fingers after seeing the "Apple" logo appears.
Go back to the "Settings" app.
    For "Facetime"
    1) Select "FaceTime"
    2) You'll notice your "FaceTime" has been activated
    3) Go to the bottom and Select "Caller ID"
    4) You should have your "Phone Number" selected
    5) Back to "Settings"
    For "iMessage"
    1) Select "Messages"
    2) You'll notice your "iMessage" has been activated
    3) Select "Receive At" (now you'll see "2 Addresses >)
    4) Go to the bottom and Select "Caller ID"
    5) You should have your "Phone Number" selected
    6) Exit and enjoy your iOS5
    Hope that helps. Cheers!

    Reset your iPad.
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
I recently upgraded to to the iOS 5 on my iMac and iPad
You don't need to manually sync using iOS 5.

  • Several times a month, when I go to open Firefox, it says "wait installing new updates". After they are installed, Firefox won't open, it says "page not found." I have to then reload Firefox. How can I stop these updates?

Before Firefox open the little window opens saying"wait installing new updates." Then after when opening Firefox, my home page says "can't find this page. I have plugged in the address: http://www.google.com/firefox?client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official and it Firefox still won't open. I have to run the Firefox setup 3.6.3 on my desktop, to get Firefox to open on my home page. I would like to stop these automatic Updates from running; how?

Unfortunately I tried that and it didn't work. Thanks for the help though. I tried to uninstall and it said I couldn't because the file is corrupt or something, but I think I finally got it uninstalled and/or deleted or whatever, but now I try to reinstall/download it again from the beginning and I can't. No matter what I do I can not get Firefox working again. No matter how many times I try to redownload it. Any other suggestions?

  • Cc app manager says there is an update for Photoshop - aborts at 56%

I wrote up my issue and then it never posted since it sent me to a different page.
The short version:  cc app manager says there is an update for Photoshop.  I try to download and 56% of the way through the process it aborts and the sequence since get to ‘contact customer service’.  And yes, I’ve tried reloading 4 times with the same result (the definition of insanity, or insanity-making in this instance).  And here I am now.
