Apps Syncing/organizing not available with lastest version of iTunes

My computer crashed recently and have had to install the newest iTunes. Apps aren't recoginized on my 3g phone any longer when I attempt to sync/organize them.   Where can I get an earlier version of iTunes that will work with my 3G phone.  Apps are working great on the phone.

Read this, will solve it.

  • IOS7 will not work with current version of iTunes

My phone has had a recurring problem with the mic not working unless the phone was in speaker mode. I haven't bothered to update to iOS7 before now, but finally got annoyed with not being able to have a phone call in public, so I attempted to restore (which several posts on the topic recommended). Connected phone to iTunes, backed up, clicked "restore", got a pop-up saying that it couldn't restore the phone because I was still running iOS6.
Figured, what the heck, iOS7 can't be that bad, decided to update. All the while, my phone was connected to my computer, which is running iTunes version 10.6.3. Not once did I get any sort of warning, notification, pop-up, anything letting me know that iOS7 was not compatible with this version of iTunes. Since my phone was pretty much out of memory, I actually deleted all of my music so that I could download the update, knowing that it would be able to be replaced as soon as the update was finished. Waited for the update to download and install, clicked "Sync" on my computer, there's my pop-up. Attempted to download iTunes 11, won't let me because my computer is still running Mac OSX 10.5, because I don't feel the need to buy a new laptop every 2 years.
My computer was purchased (new) in '09, not even a full five years ago. I understand that Apple changes constantly, but the fact that I now have NO way to restore my phone, NO music, NO way to back my phone up without a wireless connection, is frankly a pile of crap. I can't even talk to tech support about this without paying $19 for an internet conversation because I purchased my phone 13 whole months ago.
I've been a huge proponent of Apple ever since I got my computer. I've recommended them to countless friends because my computer has lasted five years without a single problem, no significant slow-down, etc. It's great to find out that the fact that Apple made such a great product is the same fact that's causing me to have to write this long, drawn out, very livid post that is essentially a giant plea of: short of getting a new computer (because um, no, I'm not doing what Apple wants and spending more money so that two products made by the same freaking company are compatible), how do I restore my phone and get my music back? I know that anything purchased on the iTunes store can be downloaded to my phone, but the vast majority was from CDs.

You have written a very long story, and I admit I have skipped most of it.  But I think the question is you are on iOS 7, and cannot get the latest version of iTunes (11.1.5) on your computer because your OS X is too old.
The fact that you chose not to update your hardware does not mean you could not update your software!
OS X 10.5 is very old (about four years).  iTunes 11.1.5 (current version) requires at least OS X  10.6.8 to run.  Very likely, you could upgrade your computer's software to at least OS X 10.6.8 and then download the current iTunes on it.
    You would start here:
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573Z/A/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard
Then you would update the OS X 10.6 to OS X 10.6.8 over the air, then download iTunes (or update to a later OS X, as the current version is 10.9.2).

    Hello qqnicol,
    What program do you run?
Please contact the software provider to confirm if this 32-bit program can run in 64-bit Windows.
As some programs can only run in specific version of Windows, please download the right version of software.
Most programs designed for the 32-bit version of Windows will work on the 64-bit version of Windows. Notable exceptions are many antivirus programs.
Device drivers designed for the 32-bit version of Windows don't work on computers running a 64-bit version of Windows too.

  • The shared library is not compatible with this version of itunes

I have a G3 running Jaguar (and iTunes 6) that hosts my MP3 collection. Until recently, this worked great as a shared library, happily showing up in iTunes on other machines on my network, including my Powerbook.
Then I got iTunes 8 on my MacBook Pro.
Now, when I try to access it from my MBP with Leopard, I get the message "the shared library Nick's Music is not compatible with this version of itunes".
Can I somehow run an older version of iTunes as well as v 8.0 on Leopard?
Is there another program that can access that library and run on Leopard?
    Any other solutions?

I solved it myself...What I did was to backup the old library, run iTunes 6 to create a new library, move that new library, edit iTunes 6 preferences to use the library in it's new location, then restore the iTunes 8 library to it's original position.

  • The AirPlay device is not compatible with this version of iTunes.

I can no longer connect one of my Air Port devices. I continually get the same error message.
"The AirPlay device “Bedroom” is not compatible with this version of iTunes."
Bedroom is the name I gave the device. I just updated my Itunes, and it shows "bedroom" as a multi speaker option, but wont connect. I'm not tech savy at all, just frustrated. Please help.
    Brian.

Restarted everything twice. Now it works. Don't know how or why, but at least it's on now.

  • Remote speaker is not compatible with this version of iTunes?

I'm having a problem connecting to my remote speakers when I want to play some music through iTunes. A display message appears stating: The remote speaker is not compatible with this version of iTunes.
I have the newest version of iTunes i.e. 7.0.2 and an Airport Express base station with all my software updated.
Does anyone have any ideas what I should do?

  • This movie requires QuickTieme, that is not compatible with this version of iTunes

I have a problem to play a movie, in some titles.
Error: this movie requires QuickTieme, that is not compatible with this version of iTunes (version installed on my iMac 11.0.1).

Make sure your iTunes software is up to date.
Launch iTunes. Then from the iTunes menu bar top of your screen, click iTunes > Check for Updates ...
Apple just released the 11.0.5 update yesterday which includes bug fixes.

  • Remote Speakers are not compatible with this version of iTunes

My problem is simple to describe but seemingly impossible to fix.
When I try to play music from my MacBook to my Airport Express I get this error "Remote speakers x are not compatible with this version of iTunes." I have been using this computer and AX in the past without problem but I can't remember exactly when this issue started so I'm not sure if it coincided with an update to either iTunes or AX.
I am running up-to-date iTunes and AX firmware (8.0.2 iTunes, 7.3.2 AX), have restarted both machines multiple times, and reinstalled iTunes and reuploaded AX firmware. Here's the kicker: my roommate's MacBook running iTunes 8.0.2 works with the speakers perfectly.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes! Turning back on ipv6 and setting it to "auto" worked for me. Really strange - trying to get this to work for months (on and off) - almost tossed it - thank you very much!

Alright - I give..itunes (v7.2) with airport express for airtunes
I have a toshiba laptop (Win XP) that streams itunes to remote speakers just fine..but my desktop (Win XP - Dell Dim E510 with wireless) when I switch speaker to remote speakers, comes back with message - "the remote speaker xxx is not compatible with this version of itunes"...both computers have the same version of itunes..both computers can access airport express for adminstrative actions - Airport Express is connected to a stereo..any idea what is the problem?

    Ditto here.
    Mac OS 10.4.9. iTunes 7.1.1 (5)
Airport Extreme Base Station "chained" to 2 Aiport Express Remotes. All connections are fine. Have internet on remote Macs. Airport Admin utility displays all three airport units, but I'm now unable to broadcast to the remote Express hooked up to my stereo in adjacent room. Have done this many times in the past without problem, but not in past couple months, so can't say if it broke with 7.1 or 7.1.1, but I get this message from iTunes:
The remote speaker "Living Room Speakers" is not compatible with this version of iTunes.
Prior to restarting iTunes (and being sure all Aiport station firmware was up-to-date, I was getting the message that no speakers were connected (double-checked all speaker and stereo connections), but now just the "not compatible" message.

  • Remote speaker not compatible with this version of iTunes?

    Hello,
I have the newest version of iTunes and an Airport Express through which I play music.
After upgrading to the newest version of iTunes, a window appears stating that my remote speakers are not compatible with this version of iTunes when I try to select the remote speakers as my audio output.
What does this mean and how can I fix the problem? How can my speakers not be compatible with iTunes when all I have is an optical cable from my Airport Express going into the back of my home theater receiver?
    Cheers,
    --VesaM

You'll get this error if the version of firmware on the AirPort Express is incompatible with the version of iTunes you are using. Make sure you have the latest base station firmware (6.3) and the latest iTunes (7.0.2).

  • Speaker not compatible with this version of Itunes

Suddenly, I am getting this message when selecting my remote speakers..."Family Room" speaker is not compatible with this version of Itunes. I have re-installed an older version of Itunes, updated my firmware on my airport express and even recreated my wireless network...nothing works so far.

I am having the same problem from my wireless PC where I just installed the latest version of iTunes for the first time. My hardwired PC works. I wonder if I have to disconnect from the hardwired PC before I can connect with the wireless?

When I plug in the nano I can see the songs in iTunes, but I can't do anything with them (delete, etc.) iTunes keeps telling me that my nano is "synced" with another version of iTunes but I don't have that version anymore.
