Apps want update, I have done the reset thing and still will not update. I have tried 1 at a time and all at a time. I've done random apps still nothing. Anyone have any ideas before I put the phone in a sket launch and shoot it?

Checkmark the box for "Show Develop menu in menu bar".
"Develop" menu will appear in the Safari menu bar.

I have emptied the cache, I have reset Firefox, I have tried doing the start in safe mode. Basically since the last Firefox update (which appeared to be more of a security update) the browser is slower than a wet week! Once you get to something with graphics it is almost at a standstill! when syncing with itunes, got error message saying had error and now ipad2 will not do anything other than showing the USB cable with arrow pointing to Itunes on screen. have done the reset and restart, but still get same thing. Ipad does not show up in itunes even though cable plugged in. Have shut down and restarted Windows 7 computer.
I had done all of that to no avail. I did call Apple Tech Support and after he suggested I try a USB port in the rear of the Win 7 computer, things starting working again. I had tried switching the USB port at the front of the machine but that had not helped. Everything is good to go again. thanks for your reply

I have coloured vertical lines about a quarter of the way from the left of the picture when using my apple tv 2. Anyone got any idea what is causing it. Have done a reset but still same. ATV2 is only a month old.
Just to make sure, try a different set of cables. If the problem persists, have the unit replaced by Apple.

I bought an apple iPod 5th generation the other day and I cannot remember the unlock passcode. I have done the restore thing, but because I never set it up or synced it with iTunes, it does not recognize my device. It is disabled for one hour. There's only a few things that could be my passcode, but because it disables for an hour, it is time consuming trying to figure it out. What do I do? I do not care about having to erase everything since it's new and there's nothing on it, but it was never synced with iTunes.
Disabled
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

I have just downloaded ML. I can get my email via iCloud, but I can't get it on MAIL 6.0. I have done the JAVA thing--seems to be OK. MAIL 6.0 on my desktop won't sync with Mobile Me and won't download emails. Any suggestions?
Just did something--am not sure what, probably in the "iCloud"--but seems to be working at last!

Forgotten Passcode or device disabled after entering wrong passcode
If you have Find My iPhone enabled, you can use Remote Wipe to erase the contents of your device. If you have been using iCloud to back up, you may be able to restore the most recent backup to reset the passcode after the device has been erased.
Alternatively, place the device in recovery mode and restore it to erase the device:
Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to shut down.
While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen.
iTunes will alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then restore the device -

After going through all the troubleshooting suggestions and also uninstalling and re-installing Firefox, it still won't work. To begin with it was fading out and a 'not responding' notice appeared on the header, with the pointer turning to the timer but nothing was happening. It's been working well for ages and I haven't added anything or deleted anything recently, so can't understand why it should suddenly stop working.
I've followed all the troubleshooting advice and disabled the plug ins, also removed a lot of the add ons, still didn't work. Then I uninstalled it and re-installed it.
Now it won't even open. A window comes up saying it has crashed and giving me the option to re-start it or quit it. If I click re-start, it won't re-start.
I've even started it in safe mode but that won't stay open either, it opens for about a minute then just closes.

Trying to get endnote to work, I have downloaded the required plugin from Apple website but I still can't open endnote or create a list of references etc. I notice on the webpage it says endnote is sold seperately? Can anybody help with this issue?
You have to buy the EndNote application. http://www.endnote.com/
Or are you having problem just to add endnotes or footnotes. Read about it on pages 55-59 in the Pages User Guide. It is downloadable from your Pages Help menu. -
