Apps won't go onto itouch

Everytime i go into the app store ( from itunes ) and press get app, it downloads into itunes under applications in the library but how do i get it into my touch .

I'm having the same exact problem and I can't find an answer ANYWHERE!!! I put the applications on iTunes and it automatically synced, but ignored the applications. So I followed directions found somewhere on this awful website and it said to click on the device and then click the "Applications" tab, but there is not one!!!! I have the software update (when I click on my device, the summary says 1.1.5 (with Software Upgrade). WHAT THE HECK?!??!! This is getting so frustrating.

Your iPod can only be synced with one iTunes library at a time. If you try to add content to it from another computer it will erase the contents of your iPod and replacement it with the contents of the new library.
In regards to the unstableness, have you tried a hard reset to see if that makes a difference? To do this, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.

As it says, the iBooks app refuses to load, even though my iOS version should be high enough. Any suggestions?

The current version of the iBooks app that is in the store requires iOS 5+. Unless you downloaded a previous version of the app when it was compatible with iOS 4.2.1 and you still have it somewhere (on your computer or on a backup) then you won't be able to install iBooks (only the current version of each app is in the store)

Apps won't sync to iTouch

My father purchased an iTouch for my mother for Christmas. He brought it to me so I could set her up with some movies, music and apps through my iTunes. Now we cannot sync any new applications to her iTouch through her computer. We add the new apps to sync and nothing happens.

Apps Won't Sync Onto New Laptop

Whenever i download an app on to my new laptop it will not sync onto my ipod touch. When i plugged my ipod into my old laptop the sync message said " syncing ipod, step 1 of 4 ", on the new laptop it says " step 1 of 1 ". When i click on the app tab on My ipod i cannot scroll the the various screens, its as if they are not highlighted. The laptop is authorized.

Can you transfer your purchases from your ipod to your new computer? Before you connect,make sure autosync is turned off in iTunes/Preferences/Devices.
You can only sync to one computer at a time. Connecting to another iTunes will erase the content of your device and replace it with the content of the new iTunes library.

Apps won't download onto my phone :(

Each time I try to download or update my apps my phone tells me I am entering the wrong password or username which I know is false because I am using it to log on now and post this. After attempting to enter the password enough times it tells me it cannot connect to the iTunes store.
Anyway, any help is greatly appreciated- this has been very frustrating.

I have a similar problem (and I have tried different sync options, plus starting restarting, rebooting, etc.). When I select an app and press install, all seems to go well, but the app does not show on my iphone--but does on my macbook. When I try ti select the app again, using my i phone , it shows already installed. This happens about half the time, and mostly with very new apps. My i phone has the latest everything, and worked fine from my May 09 purchase to about a couple of weeks ago. Any suggestions?

I have the same issues. My iPad 1 will not download apps or update apps. They are constantly waiting. I have tried logging out of iTunes, powering down iPad, then restarting and signing back into my apple account ( all through the iPad). I found a post that mentioned updating the apps on your computer via iTunes, then uploading them onto the iPad. However, I can't find the update apps button anywhere on iTunes to do that. So that didn't work. However, updating apps on my iPhone 4s and iTouch 1 still go just fine. Im not sure when this started. I do know that as soon as I downloaded the iOS 5.0. It was like driving my iPad threw molasses. The thing was and still is slow as ****. Which is a whole other can or worms that apple needs to deal with. However, back on topic... My iPad no longer downloads apps, updates apps, and as of right now,will no longer download music that I have purchased through iTunes. The music just sits the and says waiting to download. NEED SOME HELP ON THIS!!!!!

Applications tab doesn't work - apps won't sync

I'm starting to go a bit bonkers. It's been a while since I updated iTunes, and the Applications tab still doesn't work right. Is it just me? I can't click on anything/manipulate anything in that part of iTunes. And when I download new apps through the app store and tell my iPhone to sync, it doesn't sync the apps, even though "Sync Applications" under the Applications tab is checked.
I've uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled it. I've restored my iPhone. I've done both things a few times and you know what? Sometimes that makes it work. But if so, it only works one time. I can use the Applications window to check which apps I want synced and move things around onto different screens. But then if I click on another tab/navigate away from that window, it stops working. And I have to restore my iPhone again just to sync my apps.
Any suggestions? Help? Is it just me that's having this problem? Thanks...

Still not working... only when I restore my iPhone to factory settings and reupload everything do I get my new and updated apps and have a working Applications tab. Then, if I quit iTunes and open it again later, I can't manipulate/change anything under the Applications tab, and my apps won't sync with the rest of the stuff on my iPhone. So maybe the solution is to leave iTunes open and my computer on FOREVER.

Ever since yesterday, my Ipod apps won't open properly. I googled it, and couldn't find anything accurate. So i deleted all of the apps, and re-downloaded them. Now they're doing it again. When i tap on it, it looks like it wants to open, but then it goes back to the main menu. I googled it again, and got an answer saying to go to Itunes, uncheck the "sync apps" box, and sync. Then after that, recheck the box, and sync again. Many people said this worked, but it didn't for me. Also whenI go to sync my apps, they don't show up in Itunes. I had the same issue. After searching around online I found out that you can try downloading another app (it can be any app) onto your ipod. After it finishes downloading see if your other apps open. You don't even have to keep the new app. Just see if your other ones work and you can delete the new one. That should work. If not, try to hard reset it. Here is another apple support link for steps on hard reseting it (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1430).

The Facebook app won't let me sign on with my account. I can sign on to another account just fine. Will not let me sign on through Safari or Google either. When I put in email and password it goes right back to the log in page. Help?

On my iPhone 4, the Facebook app won't let me sign on with my account. I can sign on to another account just fine. The first time I sign on with the FB app it goes to the news feed page, says loading, and then flipps between loading and connection error. If I close out of that and try to sign in again it locks up on the logging in page. From Safari or google it goes to the log in page, after entering my email and password it goes right back to the log in page. I have tried resetting my phone, deleting and re-installing the app and everything else I can think of. Since I can log onto another account on my phone it can't be the app, any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

ITunes Won't Detect My iTouch

Hey guys, I know there have been a few questions about this. Basicly, I upgraded my iTouch to v2.0 on my laptop that's running Vista. When I took it over to my desktop since I usually use that computer, iTunes won't detect my iTouch. Is there any way do fix this BESIDES having to put my iTouch in DFU mode? I've already got a bunch of apps that I really like and I don't want to have to reget them all.

Ok, so I've tried to put my iTouch in DFU mode since all else has failed and well, that fails too. I hold the sleep and home buttons then let go of my sleep button, but when I finish it all, iTunes doesn't recognize my iTouch as an iPod in DFU mode. Then, when I try to turn my iTouch on or make something happen with it, nothing happens. I tried to redo the DFU steps and after reputting it in to DFU mode it turns on and my iTouch is like it was before anything happened. Can anyone help? I can't get my songs and videos and pictures and all that stuff on my iTouch cause they're all on my desktop and my desktop won't recognize my iTouch.

Correct. An app can only be updated under the Apple ID that was used to orginally acquire the app. If that is a problem you can delete the app and download again under the new userid. If you paid for the app you will have to pay again. Your old Apple ID does not go away so there is no reason to not use it to download the apps.
You cannot delete the apps that came with IOS. If you want to "hide" the apps simply put the apps into an application folder by dragging one app onto another. You can do this to all the IOS apps.
