Apps won't install/update on my iPhone 4S (ios 6.01) says installing and then just stops!? Is there any fix for this?
Okay so basically this morning (20th November 2012) I turned on my iPhone and went onto the App Store to check for app updates which I do every morning, and there was an update for the Wikipedia app and another app, however... When I tried to update these apps, the password conformation box came up as usual and then the message saying the app was installing popped up. But this message disappeared instantly and nothing happened. When I try to download apps from the App Store, the exact same problem keeps happening. Sometimes after two or three tries an app will install but only occasionally. I have tried rebooting my iPhone but with no luck. I have over 11gb of memory left on my iPhone and my Internet connection is strong enough so I'm completely confused! Does anyone know a possible reason for this or maybe even a working fix... Also knowing someone else has this problem would be nice :)

I recently updated my 20-inch, Mid 2007 iMac with the latest OS 10.8.5 now my external hard drives will not show up. They show up when I boot them up on a machine running and earlier OS. Is there a fix for this?
Can you see them in Disk Utility?
If so, can you select and Mount them?
If not, disconnect them, reset the iMac's SMC and then reconnect them.
Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)
1. Shut down the computer.
2. Unplug the computer's power cord.
3. Wait fifteen seconds.
4. Attach the computer's power cord.
5. Wait five seconds, then press the power button to turn on the computer.
If you still can not see them, connect them back up to the iMac running the older OS, open Disk Utility and look to see how they are partitioned and formatted. -
IOS 7 has been a nighmare. I have lost apps and the ones that are still there clearly will not open. Can you revert back to the previous version IOS 6.
I would sync with the computer
and make sure that settings->itunes & app stores-> appleId was set correctly

Is this happening with all podcasts? Maybe the server that hosts that podcast is down or it's having problems, try testing with one of the other top rated podcasts. -
I've just reformatted my pc, reinstalled master collection cs5, and now it won't install the updates it downloaded, do we have any fix for this?

Why would there be a fix? YOU are having the problem. I'm not, no one I know is having the problem. No fix is needed.
Basic troubleshooting steps clearly outlined in the User Guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new. Have you been through any, if not all of these troubleshooting steps yet? -

Not really.
I upgraded to ios 8.0.2 and the problem goes on.
I restored it to factory settings, and started installing every app, one by one, and the Copy + Paste problem still happens.

Hi, I've been playing Smurf's village for a year now and just last week, i tried to get into the app but it keeps rejecting and goes back to the main page. Is there any reason for this? I've been updating the app everytime and now it's not letting me in. Pls advise. Tq
Reset the device, restart the device, try downloading any other app.

I had the same thing yesterday. After google gave me nothing and after I was sure my phone had enough charge to restart, I did a reset on my phone...
Holding down the Power button, volume button and selector button on the front - for about 30 secs (or untill I knew the beeping had stopped).
I cant remember if I then restarted it or it it restarted itself, but now its back to normal! No memory loss from the phone either.
Freeked me out as its a new iphone 4s but glad to have it back! Without having to take it to get fixed by a pro.

I am simply lookig for some help not an argument. I am not an RF specialist however have setup a few wireless networks in my tenure at Wynn Resorts. I fully agree that wireless networking is an art and a science however the powers that be in Network Land have toughted wireless networking is the easiest and quickest way to get two computers to talk with one another. As I previously said I have already turned one (1) MBP in for this problem and Apple decided to replace it because they could not fix the problem with my particular MBP. This MBP was running Leopard when the problems started
I am having a hard time believeing that there are several other devicces in my home that depend on a wireless network to operate and my MBP is the only one having an issue. I took this a step further and decided to see what would happen if I tried to connect wirelessly via Fusion. In Windows 7 I am able to print and scan to my hearts content without any issues. I am able to browse the internet as much as I want. I close Fusion and try to connect to my printer via wireless and nothing.
In order to get Apple to help do I need to get a Network Analyzer and capture packets when I have these problems? Out of the 1000 + posts is there a consolidation of which answer is the best? BTW I am accessing the internet via a wireless connection using Fusion and Windows 7.
In response to Linc's comments, I will look at the router specifications however I did not qualify that these devices are not using the wireless connection at the same time. Right now I would guess there are maybe two (2) or three (3) at the most that are actively transmitting / receiving information. -- Thanks -
mac app store tells me to log into <edited by host> account to update apps(that I don't own) but that is not my account and I never heard of this email. Is there a fix for this?

It appears that a) Hotmail has 19 domains functioning as distributors for malware and b) someone is distributing pirated software. Although it does not appear to be related to the recent trojan, my suggestion: stay away from both.
Edit: so why does everyone here appear to have pirated software (and doing it through it App Store)?????
