Apps wont Install

Since the AppStore outtage, my apps wont update or install. it gives me error: "This app couldn't be installed, please use the purchase page and try again" which I did yet it gives me the same error! Any help? MBP late 11 13" OSX 10.10.2

Please test after taking each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Stop when the problem is resolved. Back up all data before making any changes.
Step 1
Rebuild the Spotlight index. If you try to search now from the magnifying-glass icon in the top right corner of the display, there will be an indication that indexing is in progress.
Step 2
Unlock the Network preference pane, if necessary, by clicking the lock icon in the lower left corner and entering your password. Cllck Advanced, open the DNS tab, and change the server addresses to the following:
          8.8.8.8
          8.8.4.4
That's Google DNS. Click OK, then Apply.
Step 3
Quit the App Store if it's running. Force quit if necessary.
Please triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
defaults write -app "App Store" ShowDebugMenu YES
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
Paste into the Terminal window by pressing the key combination command-V. I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use another browser, you may have to press the return key after pasting.
Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign ($) to appear below what you entered. You can then quit Terminal.
Launch the App Store. There should now be a menu labeled Debug in the menu bar at the top of the screen. From that menu, select
          Reset Application
Quit again and relaunch. Test.
Optionally, remove the Debug menu by quitting the App Store and entering the command below in the same way as before:
defaults delete -app "App Store" ShowDebugMenu

    Resetting settings does not remove Restrictions. Thus as Diavonex asked:
    Did you set any restrictions on the iPod?
    Settings>General>Restrictions>Installing Apps

    I am having the exact same issue and am freaking out!
    I am an activated original US EDGE 8GB iPhone user and am traveling in the UK. I had been using the phone on wifi-only Airplane Mode this week with no problems.
    Just updated my mac to iTunes 8; then updated the iPhone to iPhone 2.1 (or so I thought). But before the iPhone software update cycle completed, the same "no SIM" pop-up error message the OP saw displays in iTunes. Then, on the phone, I see the same "Connect to iTunes" message.
    The only options I see on the iPhone are clicking an "info" button (which gives me an IMEI number and "ICCID: Unknown" info), or making an emergency call (which wouldn't work anyway since I am still in airplane mode. But I can't find any option now on the bricked phone to turn off airplane mode. Rebooting doesn't help. Haven't removed/reinserted the SIM yet but I'm sure that won't help me just as it didn't help the OP.
    Is there any way for me to get out of this? I need to use the phone today (urgently) and can't take it back to the US for service for another week?!

    Bought an appfrom Apple Store and downloaded to computer.  Connected Ipad, and app installed on Ipad ok.  Connected Ipod Touch; computer showed list of available apps; the one I wanted to install appeared with "install" button next to it.  XClicked on button and it changed to "will install," but nothing else happened.  Clicked on "apply."  It went through a synch cycle, but the app still didn't appear on the ipod.  No error message of any kind.  The button returned to "install."
    How doI get this app to install?  It was advertized as working on Ipod Touch.

    It looks like our Ipod is a very old one.  It runs IOS 4.2, and apparently cannot be upgraded to what is required for the app.  it would have been nice, though, if trying to install produced an appropriate error message, rather than twiddling its thumbs and doing nothing.

  • Iphone apps wont install or update - please help!

    Hi. Hopefully someone can help me...
    My iPhone 4s running iOS 6.1.3 wont let me install new apps or update existing apps. When i click on the button to buy a free or pay app the button changes to "install app". Then when i click on the install app button nothing happens ( no progress bar and no installation). After repeatedly clicking the install button the status changes to "install" as if it was installed...except it wasn't.
    So far i've tried:
    - logging out/in of iTunes account
    - rebooting phone
    - turning off / turning on phone
    - resetting all settings
    - deleting apps that required updating that wouldn't update
    - deleting ibooks which had a pending download
    Tried these multiple times without success in resolving the issue. Both wifi and 3G connection is fine.
    Anyone gone through the same thing and have any suggestions? Help would be very much appreciated. Thanks

    Hi, Use the Administrator account. Download the Uninstaller and SAVE it to your Desktop:

    Then download the Flash Player Installer for Firefox and SAVE it to your Desktop:
    http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe
    Then downlad the Flash Player Installer for Internet Explorer and SAVE it to your Desktop:
    http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax.exe
    Be sure to read over the Uninstaller instructions for system tray, and Make sure you use the Administrator Account.
    When you have that done, Close ALL browsers. Run the Uninstaller and when finished, Reboot(restart) your computer.
    When fully rebooted, Reboot again (to clear all old files out)
    Then Run the Firefox Installer, then Run the IE Installer and when finished, Reboot Once.
    Test both browsers here: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
    Then Using IE, go to manage add ons (all add ons) and find Shockwave Flash Object and make sure it is Enabled.
    Then Using FF, find the SWF vs 10.1.53.64 plug-in and make sure it is Enabled.

  • Creative cloud app wont install on iMac

    I'm the admin for our group and I have a user who can't seem to download the creative cloud app, she can run the install and pick which programs she wants but it wont put the actual Creative cloud icon on her machine. Without this she can't run any add on and now her photoshop wont even open.

  • Apps wont install on Iphone 4 OS 6.1

    Everytime I click on a free or $ app, it shows installing, app store asks for my password and I enter it.  It continues as if the password is correct.. in other words it doesn't tell me incorrect password.. I have tried doing that just in case..... It looks like the phone is going to download it, and then it just pops back to Free or $x.xx.
    Now, I have
    Restored my phone
    loaded all the apps back on
    changed my password on my Itunes account
    checked all my billing information is correct.
    I CAN download any app, the same I am trying on my Itunes (PC) and install it on my iphone
    I have noticed this question was sorta asked before, but there was no answer, and surley I am not the only one having this issue
    Also, I have 160 apps, I deleted 20 of them last night before I did a back up and restore

    restrictions are disabled, I have restting the phone numorus times before that, also I restored my phone last night.
    I noticed this 2 weekends ago.. maybe had this problem before, because I have not downloaded an app for a while
    Any other ideas

  • TS1424 Updates, new apps wont install, they stay in waiting.

    Multiple apps are "waiting" to update and a few new ones I tried to download are also "waiting" to install. I tried uninstalling, which did work, and uninstalling, which did not work. Apps affected include iBooks, Weather Chanel &amp; more. Just started happening a couple of days ago when trying to update a couple of things.

  • Apps wont install.  Says loading, never do.  Can't delete loading apps.

    I am attempting to down load apps, but they just say loading or paused.  These apps that haven't yet installed have been sitting there for weeks. How do I install?  I also can't delete them in that mode.

    Have you tried a reset to see if they resume after the iPad has restarted ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 seconds, after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
    An alternative to try is to download them to your computer's iTunes and then try dragging them over onto the iPad in iTunes

    I purchased the carcassone app, it shows up in my purchased apps, but it won't install. It just says waiting. It's been like this for 7 days. What should i do?

    How many pages of apps do you have? The limit (for iPhone OS 3.x) is 11 pages. Installing more, the apps are on the phone but not on a home screen, but you can find them using the Spotlight search function (tap the home button when you're on the first home screen).

    I have followed instructions given on forum after members have complained of similar issues but to no avail. I have quit everything, logged out etc and but its almost like the app is on a constant loop with no result. I click download and it goes back to same page - click again and it may go to instructions on how but never begins.

    For all those stuck... this will install the latest CC Manager.

    i recently purchased an app for my ipod and i will not install, i have ajusted the settings for it to install, and have even restored my ipod settings. i am just very confused on how to get it on my ipod so that i can use this app. any segestions are welcome.

    I assume other apps you purchased are working fine. If so, I'd contact the developer first to see if he can assist your situation; it's in his interest to make the customer happy with his product. Make sure you've downloaded the app, and press the Sync button on the lower right of iTunes while your Touch is still in the USB port.
    If things still aren't working, I would contact the iTunes Store to issue you a refund for an app that doesn't work. Reference your attempts to work things out with the developer.
