Apps World does load

I have a torch 9000.  Tried to down load an app.  Had to upgrade App World first.  After installing, nothing. Icon is gone.  Wasted an hour trying to find solutions on line.  Tried them ALL.  Uninstall.  Hard reboot.  Soft reboot.  Removed battery will BB was on, did fresh download, etc.  No progress. Need help. Thanks.

Hi there,
Try doing the following:
1. Go to Options > Device > Application Management and find App World in the list. Highlight it, press the BB Menu button and select Delete.
2. Reboot your BlackBerry by performing a battery pull.
3. Redownload App World from http://blackberry.com/appworld.

    I downloaded the latest version of my phone and now the app world does not open.  I already took out battery, deleted and reloaded program.

    It not mininized but it may have been hidden in a folder. Go to each folders including your homescreen, press menu and choose show all. If you dint see show all, that means there's nothing hidden.

  • BlackBerry App World does not think it has access to Internet when Tethered - only in WiFi

    App World does not work when I am Tethered - it does recognize tethering as being connected to the Internet - it only works with WiFi.
    Is anyone else experiencing this?

     I just bought a bb bold 9900 - 3 days ago. I have had blackberrys before so I know a bit about them. When I go to the blackberry app world button I and try to load an app it will come up with the agreement form and when I press agree it will go away but no app will download.
    When I go to my wold it will give me the agreement page when I scroll down to press agree the terms will go away but nothing else will happen. when I try to go on it again it does the same thing.
     I have deleted blackberry app world and than reinstalled it and it is still doing the same thing. Tried pulling out the battery still nothing...
    help !

    When I install any apps from apps world, why it does not promt when installing anything,
    This is bcz it stops the download . Its frustrating when you have to again download it .

    Just bought a BB9900 and opened app world but it could not open because it said its an old version.  I was directed to a site where I could download a newer version but I did not want to download. I decided to remove the App World and now I cant reinstall from the site. Please assist on which method I can use to restore my phone to its factory contents so that I can start over..

    You don't need to restore anything to 'factory contents'.
    On your BlackBerry, go to Options > Device > Applications and scroll to and delete BlackBerry AppWorld, if it is installed there.
    Then, Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot.
    Now, using your BlackBerry browser, type in the URL:  www.blackberry.com/appworld and download/install.

    I too faced similar difficulties when I was trying to get things goings (bb protect is still beyond me!)
    So, if I might knidly have an addendum to the OP...... I had to try the different name dance also, and now have a pile of apps where i have to try to recall which name worked for that app, because as little  as an hour later, the id would be rendered ineffective.
    Is there anyway to merge this dispirate IDs?

    My keyboard on Touch screen is not working, sometimes the touch doesn't work as well, my App World does not work as well

    Try a Battery pull please, with the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery 15 seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot device. This will clear all cache like rebooting a PC. Then try again and see if your problem persists.

  • App World no update notification

    It seems that the new App World does not give you notifications when new updates are available for your applications. you just need to find that out by yourself (even if you click "check for updates")
    also, sometimes you get the red star without updates being available.

    The updates do eventually get flagged automatically, I'm not sure what the timing on it is, but I have seen a few pop up by themselves into my hub.
    It definately seems to be much faster to go into appworld and check for updates, especially if you know that an update is available for an app already.

  • Downloading App World to Playbook - problems

    Can somebody please assist? I have a  new Playbook but it doesn't have App World pre-loaded. I can't seem to download the App to the Playbook.
    RIM have sent me the email link to download it but I keep getting the following message: "

    When I click on the link to the mobile site nothing happens??

  • BB App World won't load after 5.0 upgrade

    I have a BB Storm 9530 and just upgraded to 5.0 software.... Several apps didn't come through.  The larger problem is BB App World itself would not install properly. I tried installing it several times. It goes through the download process and in the end I get a message "uncaught exception missing resource net.rim.device.apps.internal.appstore.resource.BlackBerryAppStore" ... How do I get this resource loaded on?

    I hv that problem just now with my 8520 after installing the OS upgrade. BB App World and BB App Center cannot be found in my home folder but i can see it in my application list under Setting option.
    I guess the hard boot mentioned above is taking out the batterry, isnt it?
    I hv tried that but still those application does not come out.

  • Does anyone know why some Apps won't load unless I buy a new App?

    I've been following a couple of threads. It seems some users, myself included, have a problem where certain Apps will not load. They simply start to open and then return back to the Home screen immediately. When it happens to me (maybe once per week) it's always the same Apps which refuse to load, and they ALL do it - Pages, Keynote, Numbers, Garageband, iMovie, Shareplus all stop working. The reported fix from all users is to go to the AppStore and either update, or buy another App - even a free one. Then all Apps work again properly. It started happening for me after upgrading to iOS 5 but many users had the same issue prior to iOS 5.
    So my question is, does anyone know why this is happening? I don't want to find myself out of 3G signal, or abroad when I've turned Data off, and unable to use my Apps. The fix is useful, but I can't understand why we even need a fix. Suggestions?

    Have you tried a full reset when this happens?  This happens to me on rare occasion and a reset fixes things.

    Reset the device:
    Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    If that doesn't help, check restrictions.   Settings > General > Restrictions
