Appstore download error occures at 52MB

I purchased the mountain lion update in the appstore and started downloading. At 52MB a download error occures and the download stops. Afterwards a mountain lion installation process starts but stops immediatly.
I tried to download mountain lion several times but I always get the errors. I also tried to repair the disk permissions in safe mode and deleted the appstore cache but it changed nothing. If i try downloading mountain lion after repairing the disk permissions the appstore doesn't accept my apple ID for downloading in safe mode. Returning to normal mode the error from the beginning occures again.
What can I do to solve this problem?

Hello! I am new to Photoshop 10 and pretty much a little old lady who has little idea what I am doing here. I followed all the directions and deleted the Imagination browser I had but when I clicked download the update I received the message "A download error occured. Try again." I tried again and again to no luck.
I assume the Imagination browser is important and I need it so what do I do? Is it important that I have Windows 7?

I error is related tot he message which you get "No more handles".
This definitelly means that there is a bug and old files are not closed , thus the number of handles on OS level is exceeded.
The exact way to debug the "handles" leak is with applying SAP JVM Profiler, using the I/O Analysis feature.

Lion appstore download error

While downloading OSX Lion I had an internet connection breakdown at home. Internet now works again but in the purchase tab of the app store my Lion download says 'an error has occured' and wont restart download.
If I try starting a download from start it says ' you have already purchased it, do you want to purchase again for free' - YES and then I'm back at the 'an error has ccured' message
What shoul I do ??

I have installed Lion on my Macbook Pro with no problems (yesterday) and am currently installing on my Macbook Air (as I write this), yet the install on my Macmini keeps getting the 500 Internal Server Error message.
This is only my guess but I think the App Store server is overloaded at the moment and will clear you (and me) for download as it's able. The error message has nothing to do with your Macs.
Patience will prevail I suspect.

I've a problem with ALL my purchases with my Ipod Touch and Itunes (music and applications) through wifi connection. The download is ok, but after "installing" or "terminating", a download error occurs and I have to go to my pc and re-download my music through Itunes.

I am not getting an errr #. It just says that there are purchases on my ipod, not in my itunes. I transfer all of my ipod purchases into itunes. Then I try an download the new version of my ipod 7.1.1. It still says there are purchases on my ipod touch. So I just hit continue because their are not purchases on my ipod, that aren't in itunes. It extracts the software, and backs up ipod. Then itunes just closes. When I reopen it I get the same message A new iPod software version (7.1.1) is available for the iPod “My" iPodl”. Would you like to update your iPod now? My imac has recently been restored to as new, I have the newest ipod touch, and my version of itunes is also the newest version. The only thing that I can assume is that the problem, is another untested & bad update, from Capn Cook.

Disable anti virus software.
Turn off the Firewall in System Preferences > Security (or Security & Privacy) > Firewall
If that doesn't help, open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type this exactly as you see it here:
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore/Cache.db
Click Go
Move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Now here:
~/Library/Preferences
Click Go
Move these files from the Preferences folder to the Trash.
com.apple.appstore.plist
com.apple.storeagent.pllist
Now here:
~/Library/Cookies
Click Go
Move the com.apple.appstore.plist file from the Cookies folder to the Trash.
Empty the Trash, try the App Store.

While downloading this message pops up:

Mucked up installation. If the installer app is still in /Applications, delete it and start over.

I have followed these steps :
- Sign out of the App Store (in the Store menu)
- Quit the App Store
- In Finder - Go>Go to folder... (or Apple-shift-G)
- Paste in the following "~/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore"
- It will take you to a folder. Delete the whole folder and empty the trash.
- Launch the App Store. Sign in and then reclick the Mountain Lion buy. It won't charge you again.
Then I restart my system in safe mode. And downlad installer again
This time it is installed. And I am really happy

HT202159 'Error Occurred" in download - how to correct, please?

Hi. I was in the middle of an MS Lion download and the modem crashed. Now the button the side that normally reads "Install/Pause/Resume" is dark grey and there is a red error message immediately to its left saying 'An Error Occurred"

If that doesn't work Charlie, try this:
Quit the Mac App Store
From the Mac desktop, hit Command+Shift+G and enter:
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore/
Delete everything in this folder
Relaunch the Mac App Store

hi, there, i got my iphone4 updated via wifi n its downloaded, its shows when i check the software update n when i install it, it shows verifying the software n after a couple of seconds comes back with "error while installing ios6" failed so many attempts and even tried to reset the phone, but no use, then i tried latest updated itunes too, can u believe it, it took ages to download n when it was 880mb of the 899mb file, error occured , so many failed attempts, can some one tell me what to do ? are there any issues with iphone4 updates? m scared to update it now, but really wanna get it on my phone.

I have experienced a similar error with the iPhone 4S. The new version of iTunes will not let me restore the phone, it must be updated and nothing appears to be happening. Suffice it to say I am not amused. Apple needs to work this out - I had trouble updating to 8.0.2 as well.
