Appt created on iPhone not updating back to Outlook but is on MobileMe

When creating an appointment on the iPhone 3G, I see it gets pushed up to MobileMe, but doesn't come back to my Outlook 2007 (Vista) calendar. MobileMe is set to sync automatically on the PC and I've invoked it via "Sync Now" in the MobileMe Preferences app.
Known issue right now?

More info -- the appointment does appear on Outlook 2007 briefly, but then disappears the next time it syncs up.

  • Some recurring appts created by iPhone cannot be erased in Outlook 2007

Background: iPhone 8gb setup on Mac G5 with iTunes. iPhone was then synced to my PC running Vista and Office 2007. Everything went great, but I foolishly merged all my Calendar reminders from my Mac G5 to Outlook 2007. The problem is that both the "Daylight Savings Time" and "Memorial Day" reminders were merged into Outlook, and now they cannot be snoozed, edited, cancelled, dismissed or deleted. The darn reminders pop up every 5 minutes (unless I leave the reminder window on the screen). Attempting any action with these 2 reminders cause the following error message to appear: "Cannot turn off reminder. You may be reminded again. Cannot locate recurrence information for this appointment." Why does iTunes create appts in Outlook that cannot be erased? How do I get rid of these appts? Can Steve Jobs come to my house and fix this?

  • Events created on iPhone not syncing to iCal when I bought new Leopard iMac

that pretty much says it all... i had a powerbook g4 and no problem syncing. bought new iMac with Leopard. just noticed that events created on iPhone not showing up on iCal. Ideas?

    Ok, this will work.
    1. Turn off .Mac Sync in System Preferences.
    2. Open iCal and back up your calendar. File>Back up iCal. +(Just to be safe.)+
    2. In iCal, export all your calendars as file(s). File>Export. +(Note: You can safe these to folders that are in a similar order to the calendar groups that you might have for ease in importing them back in later.)+
    3. Delete all your calendars from iCal. +(Note: You will need to create a new "temp" calendar as iCal requires at least one calendar. *Also, it is very important to save the URL's of the calendars that you subscribe to for later importing.*)+
    4. Import the calendars you just exported. +(Note: First add a new calendar to iCal and use the same name as the calendar that you are importing. All the data from your exported calendar will be added to your new calendar.)+
    5. Open iTunes sync with iPhone, telling iTunes to reload all the info on my iPhone +(pertaining to iCal)+ INFO Tab>Replace information on this iPhone>check Calendar.
It's a pain and takes a while if you have a number of calendars, but it will work.
    Good luck!

  • Updated apps on iPhone not transferring back to iTunes

Has anyone noticed since updating to iTunes 11 (11.0.1) that apps that have been updated on a device do not transfer the update back to the itunes library? I will update apps on my iphone or ipad, then sync (either through wifi or connected), but the apps don't sync back. iTunes still lists them as having updates available. This has been the case on all my family's devices. All OSs are current. Three different iTunes libraries on two different computers, so I know it isn't a corrupt library.
HOWEVER, if I switch the devices to back up to the computer, as opposed to iCloud, then the apps transfer from the device to the iTunes library. I've typically had all the devices back up to iCloud. Prior to iTunes 11, this setting still allowed updated apps to transfer back to iTunes.
Seems like a bug with iTunes 11, unless someone has some insight as to why this would be intentional.

Yes it is different or a bug compared with earkier itunes versions.
There are two ways to reolve this
    1) With device conneted and selected click File > Devices > Transfer Purchase from device.
2 ) Update apps on itunes as well as device manually. Go to Apps page and click check for updates

  • I use a Win7 PC with iCloud and Outlook 2010 for syncing my calendar and contacts. I can enter data in my Outlook Calendar and it will appear in iCloud, but data entered in iCloud does not sync back to Outlook.  ICloud syncs to my iphone fine both ways.

I use Win 7 PC with iCloud and Outlook 2010 for syncing my Contacts and Calendar.  They have stopped syncing...mostly.
Now, appointments I enter on my local Outlook (iCloud) Calendar goes up to iCloud fine.  But, data I enter on iCloud directly does not come down to my local Outlook iCloud Calendar.  If I reboot the computer, the iCloud data shows up.
Also, Contacts I try to enter on my Outlook (iCloud) Contacts goes up to iCloud fine, but does not show up in my local iCloud Contacts.
All syncing works with my iPhone.
I have signed out of iCloud on PC.  I have stopped syncing and re-started.  No change.
I have an .aplzod folder for iCloud.  I have a separate Earthlink.net.pst email account in Outlook and a me.com.pst Outlook email account (which I don't actually use) listed under Data Files.
Any help would be appreciated.  Curious that Outlook will upload to iCloud but not receive downloads unless I reboot.  However, rebooting does not download the missing Contacts.
    Jim Robbins

    Hi Jim!
You've started off with some good troubleshooting steps, so let's see if we can take this a little further and figure out what the issue is with your iCloud contacts and calendars. I have two articles here that will help you troubleshoot this issue a little further, but the troubleshooting steps for both articles are exactly the same, so I will lay those out for you here:
Note: When using iCloud Control Panel 2.0 and later, iCloud Calendar event descriptions in Outlook 2010 do not support text formatting (bold, italics, or underline), HTML, images, or attachments. The contextual (right-click) menu has also been disabled.
If you are having trouble with a PC (with Outlook 2007 or 2010) and iCloud Calendar, try each of these steps, testing after each to see if the issue is resolved:
Verify that you are using a Windows configuration that is supported by iCloud. For more information, see iCloud system requirements.
When enabling Calendars in the iCloud Control Panel, part of the setup process is to copy your Calendars data from the default Outlook ".pst" file to iCloud, and then remove the Calendars from the ".pst" file by placing them in the Deleted Items folder in Outlook. The Calendars data is then stored in the iCloud data set within Outlook so that changes can be pushed to and from Outlook by iCloud. Be sure you are looking for your data within the iCloud dataset within Outlook after enabling Calendars in the iCloud Control Panel. The deleted files can be seen by viewing Deleted Items within your Outlook Folder List. This is not iCloud removing your data; iCloud simply copies your data into the iCloud data set and then removes the local Calendars data by placing it in the Deleted Items folder.
Make sure your computer is online. Attempt to view www.apple.com and iCloud.com. If you can't connect to the Internet, your iCloud calendars and events will not update in Outlook. Click here for more information about troubleshooting your Internet connection.
Open a secure website to test if you are online as is necessary for iCloud Calendar. This also tests if the ports 80 and 443 are accessible. Outlook requires port 443 access to iCloud in order to push and pull updates to and from the iCloud Calendar servers.
Verify that your iCloud member name is entered into the iCloud Control Panel pane. See iCloud Setup for more information about setting up iCloud on Windows.
Completely close and reopen the iCloud Control Panel.
If you recently made changes in Outlook and they are not moving to your other devices or vice-versa, click the Refresh button in Outlook.
Turn iCloud Calendar off and back on:
    Close Outlook.
    Open the Windows Control Panel:
In Windows 8, move the pointer to the upper-right corner of the screen to show the Charms bar, click the Search charm, and then click the iCloud Control Panel on the left.
In Windows 7 and Vista, choose Start menu > All Programs > iCloud > iCloud.
Remove the checkmark in the checkbox next to Mail, Contacts, Calendars & Tasks, and click Apply. Wait a few seconds, then replace the checkmark, and click Apply.
Open Outlook and test to see if the issue has been resolved.
Ensure the iCloud Outlook Add-in is active within Outlook.
    Outlook 2010:
    Open Outlook 2010.
    Click the File menu.
Click Options in the left panel of the Outlook window.
Click Add-Ins in the left panel of the Outlook Options window.
Look at the list of add-ins beneath "Active Application Add-Ins" and verify that the "iCloud Outlook Add-in" is listed.
For Outlook 2007, follow these steps to verify the iCloud Outlook Add-in is active
    Open Outlook 2007.
From the Tools menu, choose Trust Center.
Select Add-ins from the left column.
Look at the list of add-ins beneath "Active Application Add-Ins" and verify that the "iCloud Outlook Add-in" is listed.
For additional information about managing Add-ins with Microsoft Outlook, see this Microsoft support document.
Restart your computer. This may sound simple, but it does reinitialize your network and application settings and can frequently resolve issues.

  • Contacts Created on iPhone not syncing over to Address Book on laptop.

Contacts created in Address Book on laptop do sync over to iPhone - no problem - but not the other way around. I must retype contacts daily created in the field to laptop. Apple specialist unable to find the problem. Passed on to engineering, end of January. Haven't heard a word.
It worked fine until I updated 1.1.3. I had many issues after that update and am really leary of 1.1.4 after reading threads here. Have not updated.
Also drives me crazy having to spin that stupid wheel to find contacts. Come on do designers actually use this thing?
On the whole I'm happy with the iphone

I tried erasing all the phone data as you suggested, but to no effect whatsoever (apart from having to setup my email/wifi etc. all over again).
There's definitely something strange going on with the iPhone -> Mac connection. iPhoto shows the iPhone as being connected, even when it's not, and is still showing 23 pictures, which is what was on the phone before I reset it (they are now gone from the phone). iPhoto also calls it 'Apple iPhone', while I've changed the name to something else.
Calendar syncing is still functioning flawlessly, but contacts created on the phone are still not being transferred.
What's more, the contacts I added to the iPhone before I reset all the data were still on the phone afterwards.

  • New laptop - iphone not updating

    hi everyone
i just got a new macbook, and i am trying to update my iphone from this itunes. the phone is showing up in itunes, and says syncing on both the phone and laptop for about 10 seconds, then its done but it's not updating my iphone.
all my pictures and contacts of my iphone are saved on my old laptop and a usb so im not too worried if they get wiped, as i guess it'll be pretty easy to put them back on. i got all my itunes onto the new laptop by an external hard drive.
is there a way for me to be able to use this new laptop as my main one for my iphone??
    thanks

There is a very useful thread here about transferring content from one computer to another which may be of help,
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2400666&tstart=0
Th reason that your phone isn't seeing the content to sync across is that its looking in the wrong place for the library on the external hard drive. You will need to tell iTunes which library to sync to, by setting the iTunes preferences in The Advanced settings are and tell it where to find the correct library - its using the empty default one on your hard drive at the moment.

  • Why does iPhone not update photos

Does anyone know why iPhone will not update from PC using latest iTunes?

  • Why will the calendar on my iPhone not update my iMac calendar?

I have created an appointment on my iPhone but it is not updating to the iCal on my iMac.

I don't know what you are missing. Calendar sync works seamlessly for me, between iCal on my Mac, Calendar on my iPhone, iCloud web calendar, MS Exchange calendar and Calendar on my phone.
You may have a corrupt calendar database on one or the other. Or you may need to Reset Sync History on your Mac. This may help: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4337

  • Goods receipt and post goods issue are not updated back from EWM to ECC

    Hi Experts,
Would anybody able to tell me the setting to be modified / defined to backward flow of information from EWM to ERP i.e. the goods receipt, goods issue are not being updated back in ECC once the goods receipt and  post goods issue are posted in EWM?
It would be great help if i get the response as early as possible.
    Chakrapani Das

    Hi Chakrapani,
You might want to try checking the customization on the SCM part following this path:
SPRO - Extended Warehouse Management - Interfaces - ERP Integration - General Settings
Pay special attention on the Check of ERP-EWM Configuration transaction.
After you have checked these you should probably check the outbound queue monitor (tx SMQ1) from EWM to ERP. You can use the SMQ1 - Outbound queue and SMQ2 - Inbound Queue both in ERP and SCM to check the communication betweene these two systems.
Also you may want to checkt the SLG1 - Analyse application Log in SCM in order to see if any internal bugs exist.
    All the best,
    Claudiu Maxim

  • Iphone not updating apps since July 4th

Since July 4th, my iPhone has not updated Apps. It appears to start downloading updates but the process never completes.
The open process has been draining my battery.
I have shut down the phone and restarted.
I have deleted and reinstalled the Apps in question.
Same problems. Apps don't update; the updating process initiates, does not complete and consumes resources in the perpetual but failed attempt.
I read on a blog that Apple had server hiccup on 4 July, but have not since found the remedy for users caught in the aftermath.
Suggestions, please, for what a user is to do.
    Thanks!
    Don

Thanks for the reply and suggestion, modular747. I did as you suggested. So all my apps are currently up-to-date via iTunes.
The test will be when I receive notice from the App Store that updates are available. I do hope everything goes well.
If the App Store server problem didn't generate this issue, I wonder what did...
    Thanks for your assist.
