Appworld for an 8700g?

All i want is bbm 5 back after i had to wipe an 8700. Its defaulted back to bbm 4.5 with the core software and ive no ide how to get newer bbm back when it jumps right to appworld every time. Its downloaded a v2 something of it, but on boot errors and thereis no icon for app world any more. I have a zip of bbm 5 files all .cod etc but how doi put themon the device manualy.

Error when trying to download Desktop Software for my 8700g

Hi Folks,
I am new to blackberry and these forums.
I have a 8700g. I am trying to download the 4.2 desktop software and after filling up the form i get this error.
You don't have permission to access "http://swdownload-us.rim.com.edgesuite.net/swdownloads/Desktop%20Software%20v4.2%20SP2%20(English).exe?" on this server.
Not sure wht could be the reason. Any inputs are welcome.

You can update your Desktop Manager to 4.5 or 4.6. You don't need to update your software on the Blackberry Handheld. Only if you want to use the newer features of the 4.5.0.81 which will work on the 8700g. If your carrier has not published the 4.5 Handheld OS, remember you will not get any support if you need to call your carriers Helpdesk and are running an OS that is currently not supported.

I cant install the "newer version of appworld" for BB8520 V5.0.0681 (Bundle 1168, Platform 5.2.0.67)

I cant upgrade my Blackberry appworld and when i click on the icon a message appears and says that the password that i entered is invalid but i haven't entered anything. Another thing, I had upgrades for the 2 apps that i dowloaded, i already upgraded it through my desktop but my mobile still has an asterisk on the appworld icon. Could someone help please? tnx

Appworld only available for PC's

Greetings,
I have been unable to successfully download Appworld for my Blackberry Tour via Safari/Mozilla. It says that it can only be downloaded through Microsoft Internet Explorer but IE stopped supporting OS X since 2002-3. Please let me know how I can successfully download appworld. Thanks.

ICal keep repeating alarms for next day's events, birthdays, etc.

Default is set to notify me at 9AM the day before an event (e.g., birthday). On the day before, the alarm keeps coming up. I "Close" it. It comes up again and again and again all day.

It would be great if it was included in the native video app... especially if it supported multiple subtitle formats (srt, sub, etc).
Currently I use MovieSrtPlayer which can be found in AppWorld for $1.99. It allows you to adjust the font style, size, position, timing and colour of the font. You can and even adjust the zoom level of the video and add a dark, translucent area behind the font area to make them more visible. Currently it only supports the srt format... as the name of the app suggests.

hi, i had downloaded some themes for my 8700g. and i got the no additional applications error. after doing some research i found out that it could be due to different versions of the OS on device and desktop. since my OS is 4.2.1 i downloaded the same version for the desktop too. earlier i had 4.2.2 on my desktop but the problem remains. and i cant download those themes. pls help. va

Internet AM/FM Radio Stations for Tour 9630

I am interested in downloading internet radio to my BB Tour. How do I select such apps from the very large number of radio apps?
I checked details for many of the apps and received a message saying "not available for your device." Is there any good answer? Please advise. Thanks.

First you need an unlimited data plan, streaming radio eats data in large quantities!

My app does not appear on appworld

I published an app on appworld, I can see in isvportal and I can find it on appworld for mobile devices.
But some days before I could find it on https://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/ writing "bfc" or "tubfc" on search box but not any more. My app desappear.

AppWorld Email address registered WRONG

Hello All,
First time! And I know I'd sound like a complete **bleep**!
The email address I registered in Appworld for my BB Playbook, unfortunately, was mistyped and incorrect. It was fine until i forgot the password and now could not login. I was trying to use another AppWorld login (the one I use for my BB Pearl) unfortunately (again ), the Playbook doesnt allow changes in the registered email address somehow ( or am just really a total **bleep**! ).
I have already gone through a lot of verification and all, which ends up sending a new password to the email I registered, which i cannot access because I did it wrong.
Would appreciate an assistance, please.

Your choices are:
--Use another email account to create an entirely new BlackBerryID (with which you will lose access to any purchased apps using the "forgotten" first BlackBerryID, or
--Find the initial email you were sent to confirm the initial BlackBerryID, and in it is a link to click to cancel and delete the account. Click on that, delete the account and then you can use that same email to create an entirely new account.

Using a BlackBerry as an External Keyboard

Is there a way that I can use my BlackBerry as an external usb keyboard? I'd like to connect the micro-usb cable to the BlackBerry and the USB connector to another device (like my PC, PlayStation, etc.) Any idea if this is possible?

You want to only have the keyboard of the BlackBerry control the PC or playstation?

Does the 9630 software support Shazam

Hi I am switching to the Tour and I have a registered version of Shazam on my Curve. Will it function on the tour as it just was released with the same software for the Storm?
By that I mean 4.7, I know they have different release versions, but i wonder if it will work if i try to download it.

App World Wifi Error

Ok so i keep getting this annoying msg "we cannot connect you to blackberry app world. please ensure that your device is connected to thei wireless network and try again." but i have found only 2 temp fixes either take out the battery to restart bb stomr 9550 and app world and then it works fine. The other one is reinstall version 3.1.0.58 which can be annoying. Any ideas to stop this issue. Because the error shows up but i can easily navigate through the browser connected via wifi. we solved this problem, it was a Proxy credentials problem,
we needed to add arule for the Playbook IP or MAC address that doesn't need proxy authentication, because the appworld can't manage proxy authentication.
After that the appworld for Playbook is working on our corporate wi-fi enviroment
