AppWorld icon disappeared

I updated the new version of the BB AppWorld, and the mobile was restarted. Then, there was no AppWorld icon. And my Twitter app disappeared as well. What can I do?
And the mobile says that the AppWorld is installed

I've already done it. And it still doesn't work. I tried do download for my computer, and aparently the link doesn't exist. And for my mobile, I tried by internet and connecting my phone into the computer, and it still doesn't work. So mad.

HELP HELP App world icon disappeared

My App World icon has disappeared from desktop while uptdating to ver 3.1.0.56. I have checked this forums and it seems it's a widespread problem and the solution is to wipe the cell phone software and then reinstall everything.
However, I am not satisfied with this solution as: 1 - I paid a lot of money for a work instrument that is software prorietary; 2 - I have no computer I can use to install BB software as I am running Linux; 3 - RIM has been aware of this bug some time but yet hasn't done anything to fix it or avoid it in the future.
So my question now is: is there another way to make my icon reappear or should I just replace my and all my employees' cell phones with Android ones?

Have a look at the post above - it depends on which version you're talking about. A lot of people were having problems with version .56 and then installing the BB ID app after doing the update. Then with version .58, a lot of people had the problem with the AppWorld icon disappearing after the upgrade. If this is your problem, then you can simply go to http://appworld.blackberry.com/ on your phone and install version .56 from there and that should overwrite .58 to .56. Hope this helps...

AppWorld App - disappeared

Good day - as many others my appworld app has disappeared. I read all the notes and forums and tried to reinstall the app per the directions. The appworld app is in my Options, however the icon does not show on any of my home screens, nor can I get into any my apps to identify upgrades (if available). I've restarted my bb several times. Any others having this issue? Suggestions?
I have a Curve 9330, os 6.

My Appworld has disappeared

Hello my AppWorld has disappeared . I tried to reinstall but after installing it reboots again application doesn't comes up . Please help . I tried various methods but all in vain .

The internet was working fine til 10:31am philippine time. Was downloading OSX Lion, at that time it was somewhere half. Then all of a sudden internet failed and lost connection. Called my ISP immediately and was told it would take 24-48hours for the service to be restored. THen after ending the call the OSx Lion icon disappeared. I dont know what to do. Im not techie at all. On Finder Freeze/Relaunch All my desktop files & icons disappear

The title sums it up.
When ever my mac decides to go into spinning wheel mode and I have to force quit/relaunch finder, when I relaunch finder every desktop file & icon disappear.
At that point I'm forced to push the shutdown button on the tower and reboot, then all is well until the next time.
And the next time could be a day or a few days or a week. No rhyme or reason why.
Please help me solve this frustrating problem.

Cloud backup plans can slow your Mac down, and if used simultaneously with your Mac's networking, or you have an unreliable internet connection, could be the cause of your freezes. You may be better off seeing if turning off iCloud temporarily helps. This can especially be a problem with non-Apple routers whose firmware may not be up to date. Multitasking with backups can lead to corruption of your backups. Time Machine should only backup to hard drives twice the capacity of the original, otherwise it spends a lot of time trying to discover which archives to eraes to maintain room. Energy Saver can also create problems for backups, as it takes a moment for the Mac to recognize the connection. Use screen saver instead of Energy Saver when backing up. System Preferences lets you control both. Putting hard drives to sleep when backing up is ill advised.

I downloaded IOS6 and all my apps, including the App Store icon, disappeared. If I go to the Passport icon, there is an App Store button, but I have to search through all the apps to find the one I want and then click on "Open" to use it. Help!

Now to use an icon, I have to go to Passport and click on the App Store button at the bottom and search through all of the apps to find the one I want and then click on Open. There doesn't seem to be a way to delete the app and start over.

It sounds like the application you are looking for is indeed still on your iPhone. You can confirm this by searching in the Spotlight Search for this application. It may have accidentally been moved to a folder, or an additional Home screen:

Weather icon disappear...

I have never jailbreak my new iPhone 4, but after I have sent a email out, I jumped back to the home screen, I notice the Weather Icon disappeared. Restart and reboot my phone, but still can't get it back.

I have checked all my folders, all the screen, did a sync, its not there. Indeed at one moment my Contact starts to disappear as well.... the icon is gone but the word Contact is still remain, I click on it and I still see my phone book, as I exit the app, I saw the Contact icon re-appeared.

You'll actually need to order a snow leopard DVD first. Then you can download mountain lion via the app store. Confirm you meet the requirements: http://www.apple.com/osx/specs
If you dont, you might be able to get lion instead. That's an order over the phone, to get a redemption code.
And make sure you're actually contacting apple: http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57
You'll also want to confirm your 3rd party apps are compatible before an OS upgrade. Of course, you'll also want to backup your data.

I have downloaded photoshop elements but I cannot open it. I keep being asked for my Adobe sign in which I do and then the photoshop icon disappears from my side bar - I am on a mac. Please help!

I can't open this product, every time I try to it just asks for my adobe sign in and then when I log in the photoshop icon disappears and nothing opens. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the program but the same things happens.

CS4 and 3rd party plugins - icons disappear

I'm having problems with CS4 on Vista 64bit with 3rd party plugins. I'm aware that 64bit issues exist but even on the 32bit CS4 Photoshop's toolbar icons disappear once Nik, OnOne etc are installed. I've left CS2 installed as well on the same system and this works fine.
This could be a problem with for the 3rd party developers of course but obviously CS4 has changed something.
I have Vista 64bit with 8gb RAM. Disabling the GPU functions doesn't help nor does running CS4 in XP compatibility mode. Removing the plug ins is the only way to resolve the problem.
Just wondering if anyone else has hit this problem and even better found a solution to it.

I think I can recall the behavior being confirmed for Nik and they are working on a fix/ update. The situation may be the same for other tools/ vendors, so you'll probably have to live with it for a moment or resort to using older versions of PS...

Desktop icons disappear intermittently with Lion 10.7.3

Some of my desktop icons "disappear" intermittently ( not always the same icon(s)). The title
still appears but the icon is blank. I can still click on the blank spot and the app will launch.
Annoying but not "fatal" - Anyone have any ideas ??
Oh and my personal "Avatar" photo also reverts to an earlier choice ( intermittently ) as well.
Can change it to the one I want to use but it reverts back to the old picture also from time to time ...

MIght be corrupted preferences (.plist)
Go to ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.desktop.plist
For Lion v10.7x: To find the Home folder in OS X Lion, open the Finder, hold the Option key, and choose Go > Library
Move the com.apple.desktop.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Trash. Restart your Mac.

Desktop icons disappear (and don't return) if switch halfway to a new desktop.

If I only swipe halfway to a new desktop (using the trackpad) and then let go to return to the original, my desktop icons disappear. To get them back i have to either killall finder, or switch to another desktop then switch back.

WiFi icon disappears in landscape mode

On my 32GB iPhone 3G-S running version 3.1.2, while in Safari or Mail, the WiFi icon disappears when I turn the phone from portrait to landscape mode. I am still connected to the WiFi network OK and can use the applications fine, but there is no verification that I am connected. For completeness, I am currently in Europe and have placed the phone in Airplane Mode to avoid international roaming and data charges.
Has anyone else seen this behavior?

Well - I appear to have, at least temporarily, solved this problem by doing a phone reset. Icon is now staying visible in landscape mode after the reset.
