Aprimo 's Modules (Marketing Management Tool) Integration to SAP ECC
Does any body have any knowledge or experience on APRIMO's Integration with SAP ECC? Also I would like to know which critical objects in SAP ECC were Aprimo's key fields mapped?
I would really appreciate if some one could shed some light or provide a guidance.
Thanks,

Hi Joseph
Yes they can use xMII
xMII address following compoenents: Materials Management (MM), Quality Management (QM), Production Planning (PP), Production Planning for Process Industries (PP-PI), Plant Maintenance (PM), Material Logistics (LO) and Batch Management.
You can check with SAP Documentation & Search SDN

Org management (integration with SAP ECC 6) and shopping cart approval
Background:
We currently use EBP 3.0 - Classic Scenario.
Our current Organisational plan was manually created in EBP, and is not the same as the HR hierarchy in SAP ECC 6
Shopping cart approvals use the workflow WS10000276 u2013 Approval Single Level over Limit, which utilises the SLAPPROVER attribute. The user name assigned to the SLAPPROVER attribute does not have to be the manager of the user. To meet our Business requirements, a fairly flat structure was created at the time we implemented EBP 3.0. The approval level an approver is allowed to approve up to is controlled with the use of roles assigned to a user. Each of the approval roles has an appropriate value set against the BBP_APPROVAL_LIMIT attribute under Personalisation.
Moving onu2026
We are just about to move from EBP 3.0 to SRM 7.0 u2013 Classic Scenario - by carrying out a new installation.
Our Business requirement has changed, in that they want the approval of shopping carts to be carried out by the line manager, if that person can approve the value of the shopping cart. If not, for the approval to go up the HR hierarch until a manager with a suitable level of approval is found.
I believe it is possible to create the Organisational structure in SRM from the HR hierarchy in SAP ECC 6. I have tried to do this in our play/test system using - Integration Business Partner-Organizational Management, without much success as yet!
I have a few questions in this area:
1. Not all of the users in the SAP ECC 6 HR hierarchy will be SRM users. E.g. In the SAP
hierarchy there are 3 users u2013 User A, User B and User C. User B is the manager of User
A and User C is the manager of user B. In SRM only User A and User C are users. That
being the case, is it still possible to initially create the organisational in SRM from SAP ECC6?
2. If it is possible to create the organisational structure as described, then using Process
Controlled Workflow we could use the Shopping Cart BC Set One-step manager approval.
If we did this, what would be the best way to incorporate the approval limit of a manager?
Can this be simply achieved by setting the BBP_APPROVAL_LIMIT attribute in conjunction
with the One step manager approval?
We want to avoid having to use the SLAPPROVER attribute due to the high level of
maintenance we currently experience.
Thanks to anyone who can advise me.

Integration of SAP ECC 6.0 with SAP Environmental Compliance 3.0
Hi Friends,
We have SAP ECC 6.0 running on Sun Solaris with Oracle as the DB. Now we are in the process of installing SAP Environmental Compliance Version 3.0 which is running in Windows 2008 Server and with SQL Server 2008 as its database.
I'm looking for an answer on how to integrate the SAP ECC 6.0 to SAP EC(Environmental Compliance) system.
Kindly provide your valuable inputs.Looking forward to hear from you soon.
Thanks and Regards,
VimalHello Vimal
regarding this software a number of publications are available:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_ec30/EC300_FuncDocu_EN.pdf
Here you will find the list of rerequisites etc. and the integration e.g. into SAP EHS Management is explained.
In any case. The SAP marketplace is the right place to take a look regarding prerequisites and how to integrate this software with SAP core (SAP ECC 6.0) or with SAP EHS Management software.
As SAP EHS Management is technically part of ECC 6.0 the link to SAP Enviromental Compliance should be possible.
With best regards

Using Data Integrator with SAP ECC 6.0
Hi,
We're currently using Data Integrator Version 11.7.2.3. Our primary data source is SAP R3 version 4.7 We're planning to upgrade to ECC 6.0.
I'm trying to determine if it will be necessary to upgrade Data Integrator also. Can anyone tell me if Data Integrator Version 11.7.2.3 is compatible with SAP ECC 6.0?
I'm sure there is a document somewhere but I have been unable to find it.
Thanks,
Mark DuffData Integrator 11.7.2.x is compatible with ECC6. Depending on which platform you're using, here are the documents that give this information:

You should keep in mind, however, that Data Integration 11.7.x mainstream maintenence end date is June 2010. Because of that, you may want to consider upgrading to Data Services XI 3.0 or 3.1. -
Third Party WCM tools integrated into SAP EP7
Hi All,
I am wondering if anybody has experiences with integrating a third party WCM tool with EP7 for intranet-style content in the portal, and whether an assessment versus Web Page Composer has been made? I have looked at Web Page Composer but am interested in seeing what best-of-breed third party offerings are certified for integration to EP7 and how these compare.
Points will be awarded for useful responses.

JohnHi John,
I've seen btexx easyWCM in some projects and although I do not like it, many users are quite content with the features.
Afaik it is certified for SAP EP 7.0, have a look at it.

HRMS Integration with third party Project Management Tool
Hi All,
We have plans of procurring a third party Project Management Tool which needs to be integrated to existing Oracle Financials. Project Management Tool needs employee information for its functioning.
a)Is there any API available for this purpose which exposes HR data to any third party tool?
b)Can anyone suggest what should be the approach for such integration?
Thanks in advance
Regards,
SAWhat 3rd party tool are you going to be using? You might get lucky and it might be something that Oracle has bought recently. Does this post mean you are using Oracle Projects? If so, you may want to post this question in that forum as well. At least you would limit the audience to projects oriented customers, so might get some better replies there than you will here. Food for thought.

Integration of ADF with Vignette(Content Management Tool)
Hi
Is it possible to integrate ADF with vignette(Content Management Tool) in any way so that i could have the power of both the tools in developing web pages and managing the contents of it in a better way?ADF is an standards-based J2EE development framework, if Vignette support integration with J2EE applications then the answer would be yes, but you need to ask Vignette support.
BTW - this forum is for Oracle Portal questions, please use the ADF forum for questions on ADF.

Siebel Integration with Lotus Knowledge Management Tool
Hi,
I am currently working on Siebel 8.1 and have a requirement to integrate it with Lotus Knowledge Management tool.
Does Oracle provide OOTB adapters for integration for Lotus KM just like Inquira?
Please let me know.
Regards.Hi,
I am not able to find any information regarding integration of Lotus Knowlegde Management with Siebel.
Unless someone else in this forum has an answer, I recommend you to open a Service Request in support.oracle.com to confirm if such integration exists, and if not ask for a product enhancement request for this integration or request another solution that may be suitable. You can also contact IBM to verify if they have performed any validation using both products.
Thanks,

Forte and Configuration Management tools
Hello everybody,
We are starting here a project with Forte. It will involve about 15
developers on two sites one in France and one in Germany.
Among other starting tasks, we have been considering using a Configuration
Manager tool connected to Forte. With the Configuration Manager we want to
do version control of the developed code.
Thus we have been experimenting various simple solutions to make backup /
recovery using the plans / workspaces / repositories of Forte using simple
techniques (FSCRIPT scripts + UNIX scripts). It has not been so obvious to
go around the checks that FORTE makes when it "compiles" a plan and when it
"integrates", assuming the public interfaces of some code have changed.
We came to the conclusion that restoring an old "version" of the code of an
application is almost every time a significative task which involves system
administration. One clean way to do it (at least the one we have identified)
requires the creation of a new repository, its loading with the version to
be restored, and from now on developers must use that repository. This
implies that an overall coherent set of code is restored, in fact the entire
application under development. No piecewise restore of let say just a
project, or a class. The backup is simply made by exporting a workspace that
includes the top most plan of our application, and thus automatically all
the supplier plans.
I have read in some articles that there are some experience somewhere of
using Forte with some CM tools of the market; furthermore is it true that
version 3 of Forte will come (link to ?) real and exhaustive functionalities
for CM ?
We have experience here on CCC which has been used on "classical"
development projects. We have some knowledge on ClearCase.
Among other things I expect from a CM tool :
* the ability to see the differences between the various versions of a piece
of code (here a module, there a "plan"), so "what has changed".
* management of checkout : who has checked out what and when.
In addition, cooperation between a CM tool and Forte needs that the CM takes
over some functions of Forte (eg, checkout, integrate, import). Is there a
way to hook "exits" into the Forte workshops ? These exists could then be
shell scripts linking with the CM tool.
I am very interested in discussing the matter more in detail.
best regards,

If you are using Portal as an application platform, as opposed to KM, you are better of developing java portlets, so that you can use the SCM with JDeveloper and stay away from the application components. If you do want to use the components, then application export/import is the only way. You can setup your own procedures for handling the exported files (version etc).
You don't really version KM apps. Content is meant to be posted and otherwise administered by content area admins and users. It is not a "application", that must be change managed. There are versioning features available at the item level, which is adequate (but by no means a complete versioning system. Use iFS if you want that).
I have heard quite a few horror stories about exporting and importing content areas.
A 3-system Portal landscape, in my opinon, is overkill and trying to fit an existing approach to a new tool. A test/dev and a production Portal might be more palatable to the IT budget.
My 2.5 cents -
Oracle Test Manager or Other Third party Test management Tools
Hi,
Can Open Script be integrated with OTM or any other Test Management Tools available in the market to run scripts from that Test management tool.
ThanksHi
Yes when you create a test you can define it to be an OpenScript Test, then all you need to do is point it to the script, then you can play them from OTM and also schedule them.

Open module for managing property file and environment variables
Looking for an open module for managing property files and environment variables (like CLASSPATH) set in a shell script. For handeling properties (preserving comments, supporting includes, appending new entries, and more) I have looked at SuperProperties from openadaptor but find certain functionality lacking. As for interfacing with common shell scripts/files containing setting for CLASSPATH, JAVA_HOME, other system/application variables another type of object editor is needed. Maybe JFIG?
Any ideas are greatly welcomed. You seem wright, you hit a brick wall here with Air to find the location
of the command console on windows...
So in fact I never build an exe tool, but this little problem was a nice
case to test it and I tried it.:
I downloaded monodevelop
-GTK# for .NET 2.12.10*
-MonoDevelop 2.4.2*
from http://monodevelop.com/Download
created a console project and had an exe in 5 minutes !
You can download the findconsole tool and the projectfiles here:
http://greencollective.nl/temp/dump/findconsole_monoproject.zip
findconsole.exe will reveal the path/location of cmd.exe on a windows system.

Where I can find and use "Java Desktop System Management Tools "
With Solaris 10, you not only get the Java Desktop System desktop environment, but also the Java Desktop System Management Tools and a selection of free and trial Development Tools, which are available for download only.
I found only an information about JDS release 2
but today it's release 3 already and it's said it already integrated in JDS
and above sentence it state that it already come with solaris 10?
where i can find that , where i can use it
http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/817-7575/6mmsrpduj?a=view
this page said how to install but ...where I can find CD/
regards please helpGood question. It appears to have been installed with Solaris 11/06, as I have all of the packages listed here:
http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/817-7575/6mmsrpdus?a=view
However, it does not appear in the Java Web Console. I tried adding it using the wcadmin command, but haven't managed to get it to run as per the docs. The documentation assumes that it is already installed and visible in the Java Web Console...
According to this documentation:
http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/817-1985/6mhm8o5l6?a=view#gdjpi
An application for the Java Web Console should have a WEB-INF directory and an app.xml file. The apoc packages come with neither, so something is missing.
