Aprture is changing my privacy on flickr

Hello.
I am from Norway. I am making the best chicken wings ever.
But before that....
I bought a MacBook Pro Retina 15" yesterday. Yeah!
When I upload a photo fra Aperture to Flickr.com, some of the pictures - and always the one I upload - change from public to private.
How do I change the settings in Aperture to make every picture public?
Please.

Well, hello again.
I am replying to my own post, hoping that someone knows something.
Putting this thread back up there.
On flickr I have four sets. Let's call them A, B, C and D. They are public sets.
I use Aperture for editing and library, and to upload photos to flickr.
When I upload to sets A and B everything is OK. Everything works the way it should. The photos get out there and are for everyone to see. I edit my photos in Aperture, but sometimes use an app on my iPad. Whatever I do they get public on flickr.
When I upload to sets C and D many things go wrong.
The photos uploaded are shown as private, and many, many more (always the same ones, but also someone new, different ones) turns from public to private. So I have to go through every photo I have on flickr and change back from private to public.
A great way to spend my time, really!
There is absolutley nothing different with the photos going private, than the ones going public. They have been taken with the same camera and edited the same way. But sets C and D makes all new uploads private, and some photos already there private, being public the second before I upload.
If every photo in sets C and D went from public to private ... aaa ... then I would know, then I would be able to fix it. But it's just this and that, always the ones I upload and a photo here and there, and always the same!
Now ... what can I do to fix this?
Enough is enough!
Flickr tells me that Aperture is to blame.
I could, off course, delete the sets from flickr and start again. I have done that once before and it did not help.
Does anyone know anything about this?
Please?

I have read the previous theads and developers guide regading how to show or hide this autofooter thing. but could not find any thing about how to change the one in the login page.I even looked ino personalization but could not find a place to change this url. please HELP.
Another question is " is it ok to show privacy statement in just the first page and hide it in rest of the application pages?"
    Thanks

Extract from Personalization Guide - Page Footer - Personalization Considerations
    * If you wish to personalize the URL that points to the Privacy Statement for a page that displays a standard Copyright and Privacy (that is, its Auto Footer property is set to true), set the Scope to OA Footer, in the Choose Personalization Context page of the Personalization UI.
    * If you wish to personalize the URL that points to the Privacy Statement for a page that displays a custom Copyright and Privacy (that is, its Auto Footer property is set to false), set the Scope to Page in the Choose Personalization Context page of the Personalization UI. In the following Page Hierarchy Personalization page , identify and personalize the Privacy page element.

  • Since upgrading to 8.0.1, I can't change my Privacy History setting.

Since upgrading to 8.0.1, my pinned application tabs disappear every time I restart firefox. One of the troubleshooting suggestions was to change Options.Privacy.History to "Use Custom Settings for History". I make this change and close the Options dialog. If I reopen the Options dialog, my changes are gone. Any ideas?

To the original question of how to sync. If you have tried the usual routes via selecting Playlists from your Device Music page. And/Or Drag and dropping a playlist onto your device and neither work, it may be that your songs are unchecked.
Right Click on a song in your playlist you are trying to sync. If the entryies at the bottom give you the option to Check selection. Then click this and repeat for all songs in that playlist. You can select all songs in a playlist by Cmd + A
If you see Uncheck Selection then this is not the cause. It must be something else.

  • Everytime I change my privacy settings, it never stays which is an issue because I can't use Gmail since my cookie settings never stay on.

I only want to use Firefox, but for the longest time I've had to keep Chrome as a backup browser because that is the only way I can view my gmail account. I want to view it on Firefox, but a cookies issue won't let me. Every time I go into my privacy settings and change it to custom, it never stays. I will change it, and immediately go back to the privacy settings and notice that my last changes haven't been saved. I reset my Firefox to factory settings, as well as started my Firefox in safe mode and tried to see if add-ons would be causing an issue (they weren't, as add-ons are disabled in safe mode and gmail still wouldn't let me in...). How can I make my privacy settings stay permanently to my custom settings please? I would very much like to get rid of chrome and only use Firefox.

  • Safari 5.1 will not change my privacy settings without quitting and restarting the browser.

I have installed Safari 5.1. When I attempt to change the block cookies setting in the privacy preferences, the browser will not change the settings until I quit and restart the browser.

Quit Safari. Open a Finder window. Select your Home folder in the Sidebar on the left.
Open the Library folder then the Cookies folder.
Move the Cookies.plist file from the Cookies folder to the Trash.
    Restart your Mac.
If that didn't help, quit Safari. Open a Finder window select your Home folder in the Sidebar on the left. Then open the Library folder, then the Caches folder, then the com.apple.Safari folder. Move the cache.db file from the com.apple.Safari folder to the Trash. Relaunch Safari.

  • Unable To Change Security/Privacy Level Settings

I have a MacBook Pro running 10.5.1 (ran the latest updates). When I launch iChat 4.0, I can't add buddies, I can't show status in the menu bar nor (and the most important), I can't set my Security Privacy level. My entire Security window has every selection grayed out. None of the Privacy Level radio buttons are selected which means I can't see any of my buddies online. My buddies are listed and it shows my account available but that's it. I've already deleted all the apple.ichat prefs, rebooted (and relaunched) and tried changing the settings both logged in and off. Help! I need a fix please. Thanks.
    Mike

    Hi,
    I have a theory.
    I have no hard evidence.
    But....
The firewall in 10.5 was reported as not working properly and if Set to Specific apps was in fact Allowing All
Now you are updated to 10.5.1
I have a suspicion that if left at the 10.5 setting the firewall is not properly updated.
Your symptoms suggest you are not logged into AIM fully/properly as the Security tab is only active when you are logged in.
    I would do the following.
Use the Logout of AIM item in the iChat Menu list.
Quit iChat as this tends to rebuild the iChat .plists on closing.
I would go to the Mac Firewall and set it to Allow All (if different)
I would then Set it to All Specific and restart iChat.
If this fails remove iChatAgent from the allow list and Quit iChat and restart it which should put iChatAgent back in the firewall list.
If this does not work I would delete all apps from the Mac Firewall - set it to Allow All and then back again and add iChat and allow it to add iChatAgent.
If this still fails I would then delete the com.apple.ichat.AIM.plist that hold the AIM login as there is still the possibility it is corrupt but may need the firewall sorted first.
    Summary.
I am suggesting it is a set of circumstances that may need a specific approach to sort and are asking you to test this out.
In essence this is to reset the firewall and possibly delete the .plist involved.

  • Anyone else have firefox crash after changing facebook privacy seting

I didn't like the recent changes to my Facebook page so I clicked on stopping the news feed I then went into privacy settings and op'd out of public to friends only. It was then I noticed the app. setting and was surprized to find a list of web portals and sites I had visited using MSN I clicked on disable and of course FB said Warning! friends now can't send you things like pictures. Big Deal. I made mistake of leaving FB on and using Firefox went to CNN to read news. I left computer on while I went to supper and when I came back and tried to use Firefox it crashed! I never have had a problem before using this either at home or work.

Yes. I've had this problem developing over the past several weeks. I thought it was a bad extension so I removed them one by one. Then I actually removed and re-installed but that didn't solve he problem. I've now removed it and switched back to Safari until I read an acknowledgement and a fix from Mozilla.
I'm not sure this is related but it's sure one heck of a coincidence... My Yahoo Messenger was taking an extremely long time to launch. I'd get the spinning beachball for upward of 30 seconds before I'd see the logon screen. Since removing Firefox that problem seems to be gone as well. Just for reference, I had been using the latest release of Firefox.

  • In privacy settings-photos all are GREYED over and set to 'ON'. How can i change this?

I have just downloaded the app 'Instacollage' and really want to use it but I can not add photos. It gives me the message
'This app does not have access to your photos or video. Enable access  in privacy settings'
So naturally, I went to SETTINGS>PRIVACY>PHOTOS....
And the app is not there, BUT all other options are grey over and set to 'ON' I can not change this!
Please help, this happened a few months ago but to WIFI settings and I had to get a replacement iphone.

Thankfully, I had to close all running applications, and hard reset my iphone (home button and lock button simultaniously) this worked and I can now change my privacy settings!
Unfortunately I couldn't 'Allow changes' the button was unresponsive! Thanks anyway!

  • In Options, I cannot access the 'Privacy' area to change any options

I am trying to change the Privacy options, when click on the Privacy icon, no options appear.
Using Windows Vista Home with all the updates up to date, and Firefox ver. 7.0.1

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

  • Privacy Settings Keep Changing Themselves

I recently discovered that my privacy settings had been changed, and I don't know how. I keep trying to set it so only my contacts can call me, but the second I hit the "save" button, it reverts back to "anyone." Same with the messaging. If one more person with a username like "Hard **bleep**" or "suckmeoff" messages or calls me trying to get me to have video sex with them, I'm going to kill something.

That is a well know bug.  I'm not sure of what the logic behind this procedure, but actual responses from users who tried it confirm that it works.  Please switch your status to offline for at least a minute, then switch back to online.  Then change your privacy settings to see if they will stick this time.

  • Unresponsive Script Error when Saving Changed Set in Flickr Organizer

I'm getting an unresponsive script error when saving a changed set in the Flickr organizer.
The problem started when using Firefox 3.6.8 or maybe an earlier version. It persists in Firefox 3.6.12
I've noticed the error only appears in the Organizer and only when saving a changed set or saving after deleting a set.
It does indeed save the changed set correctly before crashing.
It is not intermittent and happens every time I perform this save.
The error does not occur in Chrome or Safari.
Examples of the error messages can be found at

Upgrading to 4.0.1 has corrected this problem.

  • Changing Privacy settings to allow foto upload to iPad Facebook app

I tried to upload a foto fromi pad to Facebook app. I was asked if Facebook could access my FOTOS and I declined. Now I can't upload FOTOS. How do I change my privacy settings to allow foto upload?

If you can't remember the restrictions code then was it on the iPad when you last backed up ? If not then you can restore to that backup and it should be removed. If it was on the iPad when you last backed up then the only way to remove it is to reset the iPad back to factory defaults and you can then re-sync your content back to the iPad - you won't be able to restore to the backup as that will keep the code in place.
