APSdaemon.exe entry point not found? also itunes won't open.
ever since i updated my itunes/quicktime, this has been popping up at startup. today i tried opening itunes and i also got an error "itunes.exe entry point not found. the procedure entry point sqlite3_wal_checkpoint could not be located in the dynamic link library SQLite3.dll". earlier, i had an error with sqlite3 but i managed to fix it my copying the file elsewhere.
not sure whats going on though. thanks for the help in advance.
Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. Now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Application Support" and then click "Repair".
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post:

In the last few days when I start my computer, I get a box that opens with "AppleSyncNotifier.exe" Entry Point Not Found in the title.
It says: "The procedure entry point sqlite3_wal_checkpoint could not be located in the dynamic link library SQlite3.dll.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes and still get an error message when trying to sync my phone with iTunes
"iTunes could not back up iPhone ####, because a session could not be started with the iPhone."
The last time I tried to sync my phone (iPhone 3G S) with iTunes, everything seemed to freeze up at Stage 4 of the sync process.
Any advice????With Windows Explorer, navigate to your C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support folder.
Copy the SQLite3.dll that you should find there, navigate to the nearby Mobile Device Support folder, and Paste it in there also.
Reboot and see if all is well
In case that your OS is Windows 7 (64 bit)
1. Open windows explorer, go to location C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
2. Copy file "SQLite3.dll"
3. Open new windows explorer, to to location C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
4. Paste file "SQLite3.dll" to the location.
5. Reboot your computer, it should not display that message, it should be clear.

Itunes 11 will not open itunes.exe entry point not found
Every time I try to launch itunes this message box shows up:
iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point kCVKmageBufferChromaSubsampling_420 could not be located in the dynamic link library CoreVideo.dll
When I click ok another message box shows up:

I redownloaded itunes directly from apple.com. I clicked on the repair option. It completed. The error is still happening. I have been using itunes for over 10 years with no problems until now.
PC info:
Windows 7 32bit service pack 1 x86

AMD Athlon 64 processor 3500+ 2.20 GHz

Also I used the Firefox browser to download itunes.update:
I just restarted my computer. Now it seems to be working fine. Next time I update itunes I'll just restart my computer twice. -
Error: iTunes.exe Entry Point Not Found
I recently upgraded my iTunes to the latest version and am now receiving the following error when I try to open it:
"iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point kCMByteStreamNotification_AvailableLengthChanged could not be located in the dynamic link library CoreMedia.dll."
and when I click ok it then gives me this error message
"iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes.
Error 7 (Windows error 127)"
I have tried the following several times:
reinstalled/repaired iTunes
reinstalled/repaired QuickTime
reinstalled/repaired Apple Software Update
reinstalled/repaired Apple Application Support
none of which have worked. I get the error each time i try to open iTunes and then it just shuts down.
I have also tried to open iTunes in safe mode - per a recommended solution on another thread - which does not work. And I changed my control panel/quicktime/audio settings to safe mode - per a recommended solution on another thread - which does not work.
I have not added any other new software
I am on an old lenovo T61 laptop with Windows XP
Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

ITunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found - QTCF error popup - can't open iTunes
Hi, whenever I try to open iTunes I also get this message:
iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point QTCF_CFUniCharGetUnicodePropertyDataForPlane could not be located in the dynamic link library QTCF.dll
I've tried uninstalling iTunes then reisntalling, uninstalling Quicktime, rebooted and I still get the same problem. I also moved QTCF.dll into iTunes. Still get the same error. I also tried a system restore, and I STILL get the same error.
I tried removing everything and turing off my antivirus and I still get this message and my iTunes does not work. Also when the message comes on it will not go away until I re-start my system. Any help out there on this???
Thanks.*Replying to smyth_m*
So I followed the instructions and downloaded the newest version of iTunes like it told me, but after I did that, When I would attempt to get on iTunes an iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not found messege would come up. And it says The procedure entry point sqlite3preparev2 could not be located in the dynamic link library SQLite3.dll.
That's a different one, smyth. At the moment, you could try basiam's workaround from the following post:
http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=10444196#10444196
... however, this could possibly cause trouble in its own right next time you upgrade iTunes, given that there will be a misplaced, older SQLite3.dll in system32 ... So be sure to remember you've got that dll down there, and if you get an odd message about SQLite3.dll when you try launching iTunes *after your next iTunes upgrade,* delete the old copy of the dll in system32 and see if you get a normal launch without it there. -
Why is my itunes not installing properly?
I installed itunes day before yesterday, I spent hours last night linking all my music photograph and movie files, its a new windows 8 laptop.
I plugged in my 64GB ipad 3 rebooted it and reloaded all the information I wanted on it, took hours... finally completed this this morning. After this I restarted the laptop to configure my icloud link for the laptop (which I installed last night while I was loading files, I chose to restart later)
on completion I turned my laptop off for a few hours, when I turned it back on I went to itunes to connect my iphone to do the same and I got this message:
iTunes exe - Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point
AVCFPlayerAppliesMediaSelectionCriteriaAutomaticallyKey could not
be located in dynamiclink library F:\Programmes\iTunes.dll
OK
then after pressing 'OK' the following message:
iTunes
iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes
Error 7 (Windows error 127)
I went back to apple website to reinstall iTunes, first reinstalled it same again, then unsinstalled it and the reinstalled it, same again.
The same thing happened with my old lap top and I replaced it with this new one at the start of the week.
Has anyone any idea what is going on and how to rectify this problem, I am now going on 3 weeks without iTunes.
Regards,
Damian36I started up and plugged in my iPad and then the following message came up:
iTunes
❗️This iPad cannot be used because the required software is not
Installed. Run the iTunes installer to remove iTunes, then install
the 64-bit version of iTunes.
OK
I then proceeded to the "iTunes64Setup" expanded folder to load "AppleMobileDeviceSupport64"
Started the install and then received this message:
Apple Mobile Device Support
❗️Service 'AppleMobile Device' (Apple Mobile Device)
failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient
Privileges to start system services.
Abort. Retry. Ignore
I tried all tree options, last being ignore.
I continued to download the other 2 you suggested with out any drama.
I did a system restart and then opened iTunes.
Connected my iPad
Then message appears:
iTunes .exe - System Error
❌ The program can't start because CoreAdioToolbox.dll is missing from
Your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix the problem.
OK
Press OK and then the next message:
iTunes
❌ iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes.
Error 7 (Windows error 126)
OK
Any suggestions? -
I updated itunes and it wont work. i unistalled all apple apps, about 5 to 10 times. i get this message on my HP 530,32 bit windows vista. At the top in the error window it says
*iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found* Then under that in the error box it says:
*The procedure entry point*
*QTCF_CFUniCharGetUnicodePropertyDataForPlane could not be located in the dynamic link library QTCF.dll.*
What do i DO PLEASE HELP ME OUT!!!!!!!!I found the qtcf.dll file in the sys32 moved it to the desktop tried iTunes and still same error message as above.
Okay ... sometimes there can be multiple copies of them lurking about on a PC.
Try heading into Computer, and typing QTCF.dll in your Search field. When Vista tells you it can't find the file, click "advanced" and tick the "Search hidden, non-indexed and system files (might be slow)" and then start another search.
This search *will indeed be slow.* Wait until the green progress bar up at the top of the screen has completely vanished, otherwise you might accidentally stop the search too soon.
What copies of QTCF.dll do you find, and where are their file locations? (The default location on a 32-bit Vista PC is in C:\Program Files\QuickTime\QTSystem\QTCF.dll) -
Locked iTunes folder & 'AppleSyncNotifier.exe – Entry Point Not Found'
Below message seen on log in on a Windows 7 laptop, even after a full reinstall.:
"AppleSyncNotifier.exe – Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point xmlTextReaderConstName could not be located in the dynamic link library libxml2.dll"
In case it's related, soon after, when trying to run iTunes, it failed with a 'no such .exe' type message. Itunes.exe had gone.
After saving the user iTunes library tree, I installed a fresh uptodate iTunes which failed because one of the iTunes subfolders, iTunes.Resources, would not let itself be deleted, not even when on the Administrator account. Solved this by installing in a slightly-differently named iTunes folder, of course.
How the above DLL survived the reinstall, I don't know. Is there any brutish way that I can nuke the original iTunes folder's remains?I'd first try uninstalling and reinstalling your MobileMe control panel.

When I open iTunes, I get a message saying under iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found, it says, The procedure entry point sqlite3_wal_checkpoint could not be located in the dynamic link library SQLite3.dll. And I'm not talking about the AppleSyncNotifier.exe. Along with that, I get the message saying, "iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall i Tunes." Error 7 (Windows Error 127). That's why I'm unable to open iTunes. I sure hope to see a solution to those problems soon.
I know I've mentioned this before, but I've now given a little more info to make my explanation more clear.Try this one from Article TS3074
iTunes for Windows: "Error 7" message when opening iTunes

Hi
I have tried to research these problems I am getting, but have not been able to resolve them.
1st is the above DDE Server Windows iTunes.exe - entry point not found.
This only occurs when I try to start iTunes.
if I click ok , several times, iTunes will start but slowly.
If at any time I have to reboot my computer I get
iTunesHelper.exe - the procedure entry point asl_add_log_file could not be located in the dynamic link library ASL.dll
if I click 3 times OK it goes away.
To this end I have uninstalled iTunes and rebooted my machine then gone to iTunes web site and downloaded the latest version.
Installing it but still get the same errors on reboot and trying to run iTunes
Anyone any ideas please.
I have a self build PC it has an Intel core 2 quad Q6000 @ 2.40GHz
Ram 4.00GB
32bit OS
Windows 7 Ultimate SP1
Firewall - Zonealarm
Virus - Zonealarm
Thanks in advance

Re: I recently updated to vista service pack 2 and I updated to itunes 10.2.1 and ever -
After downloading the latest version of iTunes and updating my iPhone, everytime I turn on my computer I receive a message that reads: "AppleSyncNotifier.exe - Entry Point Not Found. The procedure entry point sqlite3_wal_checkpoint could not be located in the dynamic link library SQlite.dll" Help! Does anybody know what this means and how I can fix it? Thanks.
Yes. I just solved the problem on my PC. Here goes...
Issue: My Windows7 computer was producing the pop up box with the error text as you described.
The Problem: You have another application on your computer that uses the like named .DLL file... in this case a DLL supporting SQLite on your local PC.
Solution:
1. You need to use the Windows File search feature to look for the name "SQLite". This will quickly locate the offending DLL in the other application.
2. Decide which program you like the most, in my case "Mobile Me", and uninstall the offending application.
3. Uninstall Mobile Me.
4. Restart your PC.
5. Reinstall Mobile Me.
6. Mobile Me should sync at this point, but if not, restart the PC once again.
In my case, the offending program was my Aptana Studio development application. I had recently the SQLite3 database to my Ruby On Rails configuration...
This is where the file was located:
C:\Users\<USERNAME>\Aptana Studio 2.0\plugins\com.aptana.radrails.sqlite3.win32_3.5.7.1278709071\vendor\SQLite3.d ll
I hope this helps,
