AR 11 Changed My Print Options

I have a 3 yo iMac 10.6.8. After being prompted to upgrade AR, I downloaded AR 11. After doing so, I discovered my "print dialogue box" had changed. I was no longer able to "Open PDF in Preview" or "Save as PDF". Both functions give an error stating that the function is not supported. Both of these are an integral part of my business. I Uninstalled AR 11, now I do not have a PDF Reader. I can open saved PDF's in the Mac Preview, but I can not open PDF's from web pages. I just want my computer back as it was before I downloaded AR 11.

Pat thanks for responding. I will try to explain further. After updating to AR 11, when I open a PDF file from a web site, such as an invoice or statement, I select “print”. The “print dialogue” box is not the same as it has been for the last 3 years. Before AR 11, I had the option to “Open the PDF in Preview. From there, I could delete pages, save as, or print. From the “print dialogue box I also had the option to “Save as PDF”. After AR 11, when the new print dialogue box opens, I no longer have the ability to perfume these functions. There is a preview button, but when I use it, I get and error that states these functions are not supported.
The reason I have not downloaded the old AR is because it was replaced by AR 11, and I don’t know which version is was. Since it was running in the background it wasn’t something to which I paid attention. Can you tell me why AR 11 changed my print dialogue box and why the described functions which I was using before, are not supported?

If you mean that the iPad is tied to another user's iCloud account, you have to ask them to erase the device for you. You can't do it on your own. The device requires their Apple ID and password in order to turn off Find My iPad and to delete the iCloud account.
IF you just want to sign into another Apple ID (not recommended either) go to Settings>iTunes and App store>Apple ID and sign out of that ID and sign into your ID,

Error while changing the printing options under preferences of a plan App

Hi All,
I am using EPM system 11.1.1.1.0.
I have a planning application and i am trying to chage the printing options under File-->Preferences
but when i try to save my chnage i get a IE error message on the bottom left corner of the page.
On the details this is what i can see:
Can't Move Focus to the control because it is invisible , not enabled, or of a type that does not accept the focus.
Can somebody please site a solution for this error...?

I used to be able to choose print options with Firefox and now I can't. It forces me to use photo paper when I want only to use plain paper. I do not have this problem with Safari or IE, just firefox. I have an office jet 4500 HP printer

I should add that it's an HP photosmart 4280.I found it online and it shows the Mac 0SX operating system.

When I try to print from Firefox, the print job tries to go through a USB connection to the printer. My printer is wireless and goes through a router. How do I change the settings on Firefox to recognize the router?

I think Firefox just works with the information it gets from Windows and doesn't have any setting for how you connect to your printer.
In the Print dialog (you can use Ctrl+p to call it up), if you click next to Name, does Firefox display two different printers, one USB and one wireless, that you could choose from?

I think the same problem exists with all the iOS devices. I suggest you look for a free App from the manufacturer of your printer. It will have limitations, but may include the ability to change paper size and image size and orientation.
There are other printing Apps such as Print n Share that can do that, but they are not free.
The problem you may face, is that such printing Apps can only be accessed from within other Apps that have the "Open In" option. If you can use their built-in programs, they may meet your needs.

With the introduction of iPhoto 9 (11) there's no Page Setup anymore for iPhoto. That's handled by iPhoto in the Print window by the layout and print size you've selected. We'll assume you're using Yosemite and iPhoto 9.6
We need to know more details of your problem and setup, i.e.:
what do you see in iPhoto's Print window?
has it ever worked with iPhoto 6.
how are the photos oriented when viewed in an Event or album?
what fixes have you tried?
where is your library located?
did you apply any updates or upgrades just prior to the problem occurring?
are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?
what type of Mac?
how much free space on your boot drive?

Printing options from word document

I have always been a PC user, but I just got a MacBook Pro, and I cant figure out how to change the printing options from microsoft word. I like to change to lower quality prints for daily work, but the preferences are somehow set to best. I need help!!

I understand you're having issues printing, I'd like to help!
I have a couple of questions before we get started:
-What printer are you using?
-Do you have any issues printing from Notepad?
In the meantime, I'd recommend removing the ink cartridges, and performing a power reset. Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar.
I would also suggest downloading and running the HP Print and Scan Doctor.

Changes in Print Factsheet

Hi all,
I am enhancing the standard forms of Item and Initiative Details Factsheets.
For this, i need to change the Print Options on the screen where we select the Template.
Can anybody tell me how to do this as i am new to web dynpros.

The following IMG activities enable you to make different system-wide settings for the ALV when required and to set up ALV printing. Choose the nodes System-Wide Settings for Web Dynpro ABAP ALV and Setting Up Printing for Web Dynpro ABAP ALV in the SAP Reference IMG (Implementation Guide) for SAP NetWeaver under Application Server, under Web Dynpro ABAP.

I'm having the same issue - when I try to change any print options iTunes freezes and I have to end the process in Task Manager... I was trying to turn off duplex printing and the printer option screen wouldn't take any input. I changed the default printer properties to turn off duplex; iTunes did not reflect the updated preferences. It looks like there is an unknown issue with the printer setup module - guess that doesn't get much use anymore or Q/A should have picked up the issue...

Print options changed after loading Photoshop 7 on Vista

I loaded Photoshop 7 on my Vista Premium machine and now I do not have all of the print size options that were listed on XP. I need these options to print photos, cards, etc. for my business. Any help would be appreciated.

It is a problem with Vista rather than Photoshop, I had the same problem but it is OK now with CS4. I got around it by changing the printer settings in Windows Control Panel before printing with PS then checking the settings were OK after clicking print. It's a nuisance when you have 2 printers that can use a lot of different size and type of paper.

Printing options changed in new version

Just upgraded to Leopard and a new iMac, but in iPhoto the print options/editing is changed. I hate it! Is there any way to get the old layouts back?
I need to print multiple different pictures on one page in various sizes, borderless. These are not complicated requests--it was easy in the old versions. How do I do it in this version? (7.1.1)

Apple is well aware of this issue , many people have the same issue with this crap for an update, they can't fix it, giving everyone lip service. Just don't buy anything till they fix it.

Help! The new version of Firefox only prints in landscape mode and I cannot figure out how to change this default option. I need the default to be portrait.

Once that is changed Firefox should hold that setting until the next time you print something thru Firefox, unless you would be using a different printer.

I have Mac OS X 10.6.8 and am trying to change a printer to black and white/gray scale. All the posts I find refer to a button for Paper Quality. This does not appear on my options. Just paper handling which does not have a function to change from colour.

Was the printer instance properly configured when created, so the print subsystem picked the correct PPD and knows of all the device's capabilities? If in doubt, erase and create anew so you can confirm that the printer maker/model/version is getting correctly identified. This may trigger Software Update to download & install a printer update. The menus available on the print dialog depend on what the OS knows the printer can do. For instance, this is what I get in Safari's print dialog when using an HP 2550Ln color laser at the office:

Changing color management options for printing not possible

I got a problem with Leopard and a Canon i9950 printer. When I choose "Color Matching" from the "print options" pop-up menu, I cannot select "Color Sync" or "In Printer". "Color Sync" is selected, but both options are greyed out and not changeable. So it`s not possible to do a printer color calibration. With Tiger everything worked fine with that printer.

Are you seeing this is all applications or perhaps just in Photoshop or Aperature?
