AR 8.1.3: Print "DuplexNoTumble" doesn't work.

Question

Hi, I've got a printer with a duplexer, installed into CUPS with option "DuplexNoTumble" (i.e. long edge binding) as the default. This works just fine for any software other than acroread. acroread correctly picks up the CUPS default options (visible in "Properties"), including DuplexNoTumble, but instead it always prints DuplexTumble (i.e. short edge binding). Changing this setting in acroread to DuplexTumble or Duplex None has no effect whatsoever; it always prints DuplexTumble no matter what.
What gives here? Any idea how to fix this?

We need to get a crash log file to see where it's crashing. In order to get a crash log on Vista, you will need to enable crash logging.
Important: These steps involve making changes to the Windows registry using the Registry Editor (Regedit). Even if you are very comfortable editing the registry, you should make a backup of the registry prior to editing it. Making mistakes in Regedit can cause strange behavior and can even prevent Windows from starting. Look here for instructions on how to back up your registry in Windows Vista:

1. Open the Windows Start menu.
2. Type regedit in the search field and click OK.
3. In Registry Editor, navigate to HKEYCURRENTUSER\Software\Apple Computer, Inc.\iTunes
4. Right-click on the iTunes folder and choose New > DWORD Value.
5. Name the new value "GenerateCrashLogs" without the quotation marks and press Enter.
6. Right-click GenerateCrashLogs and choose Modify.
7. Change Value data from 0 to 1.
8. Click OK.
Now, when iTunes crashes, a crash log file will be created. A message will appear telling you where to find the crash log file. Please email me that file, and make sure to include a link to this thread and the username you are using on Discussions.
