Ar Drone Parrot Ipod 2 G

Good morning,
I want to buy an AR Drone 2.0 in the Apple store. On the site are informed that you can control the Air Drone with an IPOD 2G. I have this Ipod and I can not download the FreeFlight 2.0 for my Ipod, just FreeFlight 1.0.
I was wondering if with FreeFlight 1.0 app I can control the Air Drone 2.0.
Or would I have to buy a Ipod, Ipad or Iphone newest order to use Air Drone?
Att,
Farley

It's not mentioned on Parrot's web site -their compatibility list only mentions devices with iOS 6 -  so I'd guess no, it won't work. But their compatibility list is inaccurate as to what iOS version a given device can run, so I'd suggest you contact Parrot and ask them. That way you will know for certain.
Regards.

  • When will Lightroom have a profile for the Parrot Bebop Drone for lens correction?

Just wondering if and when Lightroom will add a lens correction profile for the Parrot Bebop Drone.

The Parrot Bebop Drone camera and lens is not likely to be supported by Adobe.
    https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/lens-profile-support-lightroom-4.html
It appears to use a fisheye lens and in-camera processing or provided software to rectilinear "correct" the image. What specifically are you trying to correct with the LR Lens Profile tool? This will help us provide other suggestions to accomplish your objectives.

  • Is the parrot ar drone 2.0 still working with ios devices?

I want to know if the parrot ar drone 2.0 is still working in ios devices after the update it had.

Yes it is working.  The app is free unless you have an iPhone 3gs or below, ipad1, or iPodTouch 3 or below.  Then you need to buy some third party app

  • Oh what a surprise... My iPod isn't shown as a source in iTunes :)

Well, 8 hours on and my replacement 5th gen iPod (as the first one decided to break after 3 months), still doesn't connect to iTunes. The first update of the new iPod was going fine, but midway through and for some strange reason, it disconnected from the update.
The iPod before this replacement worked perfectly with iTunes, with the exceptions of the 'hang-time' while Windows interpreted the disk drive, and the ever-present 'Do Not Disconnect message'. The second (replacement) version was running really well but has not connected since. After 8 hours of trying to find a solution- and i have tried everything; The apple support sheet, re-setting the Disk letter, restarting the computer about 50 times, re-setting ipod many times, using it in disk mode, re-installing ipod updater and itunes to latest versions (and also straight from installation cd versions) and it still doesnt work. There are no problems with USB port power, the device manager recognises the iPod, and says it is functioning correctly and has correct drivers, and all in all I am rather confused. I have also manually restored the iPod to factory settings as the iPod updater is no use, as it always freezes on or during initialisation.
This leads me to think that the disconnection may have caused the iPod to not work. Surely not? I received the replacement iPod literally this afternoon and for it to break after literally 30 minutes due to a disconnection is rather poor. Can anyone shed light on this? Does anyone thing the drive may have been corrupted? I have scanned it to no avail. Time for a second Service in a week :S ?
Sorry to drone guys just wanted to add as much detail as possible.
    Thanks a lot,

p.s i have exhausted the forum posts so far for answers, so there's little point including links to recent articles.
pps. Connecting with the trusted usb cable, it charges the iPod fine so I doubt it's the problem. Looked at ALL apple resource sheets even the more detailed and less obvious ones, still lost!

  • Bluetooth hands-free + stereo receiver for iPods/iPhone

I'm on a quest to find a very particular adapter.
I have iPod integration in my car. Plug in the iPhone and I can play audio from the phone through the headunit to the speakers. Phone call audio does not go through, and it is my understanding that no docking adapters work for phone audio.
I'd prefer to use Bluetooth to play audio and control my iPhone in the car. I've seen adapters that connect to male iPod dock connectors (such as the one in my car) are powered by the connector, and allow pretty much any Bluetooth device to play audio and be controlled via A2DP/AVRCP. See for example this device: http://www.y-shop.net/new-a2dp-anycom-fipo-bluetooth-adapter-a-p123
However, these Bluetooth adapters do not work with phone audio because they don't have a microphone and don't support that profile. I have seen auxiliary adapters that include a microphone and work fine with phone audio. Many also stream A2DP stereo, but since they connect via AUX they can't control the iPhone and require their own power source. For example http://www.scosche.com/consumer-tech/product/2049
So what I'm looking for is something that does both of these. It must have a female iPod dock connector to attach to my existing car interface for audio, control, and power. It must have a microphone (either in the unit or attached via cable) and it must support A2DP/AVRCP as well as the handsfree or headset Bluetooth profiles. My searches are coming up empty but I have to believe I'm not the only one looking for this kind of integration. Both types of devices exist and function in similar ways. It MUST exist. And I must have it.
Has anyone seen or heard of such a device? Does anyone need a prototype tester for such a device? I need to know!

OK, in Australia, the best options I have found so far are:
    Powere cradle - http://www.holdmyphone.net/select-your-device.html?ddlBrands=Ford&ddlModels=Terr itory-04_09&ddlsubaccessories=0&ddlaccessories=0&hselect=Phone&hselect2=Apple&hs elect3=iPhone-3G
BT carkit with Stereo integration - http://www.ow.com.au/shop/Car-Kits-Bluetooth/Parrot-CK3000-Evolution-Advanced-Bl uetooth-Car-Kit
These are very simple to use and I havent had any issues after 12 months usage.
Parrott have quite a few advanced products which are very good.

  • IPhone 3G with Parrot CK3000 Evolution

I ordered a Parrot CK3000 for my Saab the other day. It should be here Monday so I can install it. I have read though that I cannot sync my iPhone's contacts to it to be able to use the voice dialing and stuff. It's not the end of the world, I don't mind selecting a contact from the phone, I'm just wondering if it's something that Parrot and Apple might support in the future. I know Parrot just came out with some iPhone/iPod-specific devices, but they are out of my price range. Thanks in advance for any help!

    Hello,
Such an option is not available on the iPhone. Whether it will become available in the near future is not known. The fact is, that enabling iPhone to properly connect to other deviced via bluetooth is feasible, although it would take some rewrighting of iPhone's bluetooth support in general. That's the main reason I have recently put up [this|http://pleasefixtheiphone.com/problems/view/6330> ticket in an iPhone site.

  • IPod Touch 4 has gone wonky even after factory reset!!!

I have an iPod Touch 4. It has the latest o/s (6.1.3, there isn't anything newer available). I am running the latest iTunes. I have a pc with windows 7. Everything was working great up until about a week ago. All of a sudden my ipod crashed and got stuck in a boot loop... I couldn't get it to respond any other way so I did a factory reset and restore. I had massive issues after that -- most of my apps wouldn't sync/install. Very little would work. Basically it's useless. So I did another factory reset and restore. Same problem. Must have done this a dozen times. It takes a long time to do a restore btw and it fails on top of that...
So today I finally did a factory reset and set it up like new instead of doing a restore. I installed only a few apps, not all. It appeared to work ok. I just did a sync and started to install more apps and viola -- funky iPod again... It appears to work, apps open, you can even play or use them. Then randomly it turns screen off, closing the app and appears to reboot (but it doesn't reboot every time)... Things do work on it, I get push notices ok... I had turned off the screen lock thing so I didn't think it should be turning the screen off anymore...
I might add, even during a sync it appears to be doing something -- it beeps, screen goes black, apple logo come up, it comes up again but its super fast so I am not sure if it's rebooting itself or what? The sync just sits there waiting... So it never appears to be dropping the connection...
    This is driving me batty!!!!!!!!!!!
I tried doing searches online and it appears I am not alone... Is this some kind of problem with the latest version of itunes?
Is it my ipod going belly up?
I bought this used off amazon about 1 1/2 months ago... Should I contact the seller for replacement?
    Suggestions?
If I took it to the apple store I am sure it's not under warranty so I don't think they would help me...
Everyone please chime in cause I would LOVE to use my ipod again! It's not much use to me in this state!!!!!!!

Well my friend, I do appreciate the help!
it looks like it may have been a bad app or multiple bad apps... or maybe even corrupted stored data...
it appears to be working ok now -- i've added about 1/2 my apps back... a lilttle at a time... doing backups before adding anything new each time... and it's ok... there were only a few games I cared about keeping the data for and I was able to pull that data out of some old backups using iBackup Robot... careful to pull ONLY the data for a handful of apps, NOT all the data for everything... I even decided to give up on 2 games and start over again cause I suspect they may have been part of the problem as they have new updates all the time and the updates are usually flawed.. so i just started over on those 2...
so the lesson Illaass to learn here is, before you jump in going on about how it's a bad logic board which it appears NOT to be -- let the discussion I was hoping to have with others and not you (no offense, others who actually have had this problem not someone parroting back what he's read) take place...
and if you see someone posting a similiar problem to mine -- suggest what I did first! cause most of us (including myself) don't have $199 sitting around doing nothing to buy a new ipod with... lol
but i do thank you for trying -- your heart was in the right place!

  • Unable to connect 1st Gen iPod Touch

Hi, I have a first generation iPod touch that I use in my car to connect to my Parrot MKI 9100 bluetooth car kit, and I need to add some new music to it.  The problem is that I just noticed it won't connect when I plug it in...not in my car, not to a charger, not even to my MacBook.  Is there a way that I can troubleshoot, or is the connection broken?  Anyone have any help they could provide would be awesome.  Also, if the port is broken, will the Genius Bar even be able to fix it, or is this thing just on it's last leg?

After charging fro half an hour reset the iPod:
Reset iPod touch:  Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - If still problem connect to its syncing computer and restore the iPod if the iPod shows in iTunes
    - Next see if placing the iPod in recoverymode will allow iTunes to see the iPod so you can restore the iPod.  For recovery mode see:
iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to update or restore
The Apple Genius Bar will not fix/replace your dock connector but they will help troublshoot the cause.

  • 5.5 Gen Video Ipod rebooting when trying to play certain PodCasts.

    Hi,
After enjoying an Ipod Nano for a year and loving every minute, I went ahead and purchased the new 80GB Video iPod.
Its great but it has a tendency to reboot for no apparent reason when playing certain PodCasts. For example: Its impossible to play the Buzzcast episode: BuzzCast 09/27/06 - "Microsoft protects your ****". The Ipod shuts off and reboots every time. I'm using Itunes 7.0.1 and the Ipod is running the latest available firmware.
Can anyone else who also owns the new 80GB iPod download this particular episode and confirm?
By the way, I've also noticed that even though the iPod is connected / docked with iTunes and clearly visible in the panel to the left, The message "Waiting for iPod" is displayed when trying to re-sync a while later. The only way to get iTunes to make contact with the iPod again is to physically disconnect the cable and reconnect, (even though the iPod icon was still clearly visible to the left thus indicating already established contact with the iPod) Weird!
    Anyone else having this experience?
    Input appreciated.
    Kind regards / Alex
    MacBook Pro 2.16, 100MB-7200, 2GB Memory   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

WHAT was apple thinking when they released iTunes 7.0 and firmware 1.2!? I installed in on my 60gb Video and the whole thing went to pot.
    1. It sounded horrible
    2. It would only allow me to download about 25% of my movies to the iPod (I have a large library and I take movies on and off depending on what I feel like for the trip I am taking.)
AppleCare Support was USELESS. Here is what I finally figured out to get the pod working right again:
    1. Uninstalled iTunes 7 from my computer (PC).
    2. Went into the registry editor and deleted all remaining references to iTunes.
    3. Restored the firmware to the version that came with the iPod last January.
    4. Used the 2006.06.28 firmware updater
    5. Installed iTunes 6.0.5
It works like a charm, just like it did before Apple "made things better."
AppleCare told me that they could not support songs ripped from my CD's, or any video that had not been purchased from iTunes. I am certain that the reason for this had nothing to do with their wanting a monopoly on music and video that will work on an iPod. Then he offered to report the problem I was having to their development team.
I asked him if other people were having problems with iTunes 7. He said the question was not relevant to my problems! I pressed him more for an answer and he continued to parrot what Apple has obviously told him to say. "My new 80gb Video is working fine. I have not had the problems you are having."
    DON'T UPGRADE TO ITUNES 7!!!!
I have ordered an 80gb since he said they work so flawlessly. Reading in this discussion, it appears that plenty of new 80gb users are frustrated too.

  • IPod Classic Doesn't Charge in PC Port

This is my first post, so bear with me.
So, I'm at school, and a 4th grade teacher calls me down to her room. She said she had two broken iPods w/ chargers. She gave these to me, saying that I could keep one if I could fix them. She wasn't very good with technology, and I simply charged the iPods and they turned on and operated. Except for one. I can use the second iPod if it's plugged into the wall and stand for it, but If I plug it into my PC, it shows the Apple logo and quickly turns off. Both iPods are 1st Generation 40GB iPod Classics. It doesn't appear in the iTunes window, so I can't update/restore it. Any help?

...12V car charger is not working...
...Funny thing is it is charging with a 12V Parrot car kit with dock connector.
So the 12v Parrot car kit is different to the 12v car charger then? Or is one of these items actually the 24v charger you referred to earlier?
    A few points to note:
Any Apple charger should be okay. If the wall charger is non-Apple, make sure to check the rating.
Whatever the source, the output from the charger needs to be at least 500mA. This "output rating" should be writtten on the device somewhere, as 5v 500mA or similar. If the charger supplies only 300mA (a common rating) this will not charge an iPod Classic.
Car batteries supply 12 volts. So a car charger needs to change the 12 volts to 5 volts. Some old iPods could be charged with 12 volts and some (not so old) iPod models could be charged by either 12 or 5 volts. However, the voltage was supplied on a different "line" (or wire) into the iPod. So a charger that changes 12 volts to 5, but feeds the 5 volts on the 12 volt line, will not change an iPod. As far as I recall, no iPod Classic can be charged with 12 volts, all Classics use 5 volts. (See point 5 about the definition of a Classic.)
A 24 volt charger (to which you referred originally) would presumably be for a commercial vehicle. So a charger designed for 24 volt supply in, needs to step down (change the voltage) to 5 volts out.
Here's a major point: is your iPod actually a Classic, as defined by this article; http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1353 ? If it is not either an 80GB, 120GB or 160GB iPod, then it is not a Classic. In that case, check with the article to correctly identify your iPod.
If your car charger has a plug-in lead, with a plug that can be turned around to supply the same voltage, but with opposite polarity, then you need to check that the lead is connected the correct way.

MyiPod classis A1238 doen't charge from 24 Volt and from wall charger. It does from USB connected to my iMac.
    What could be wrong?
All original cables. exchanging checked cables doesn't work either.
